They put pressure on you to get something else. I personally figured this out. My lv wallet was deemed defective and I decided then that I did not want the wallet again as I didn't want to chance it so I opted to use the store credit towards the mini palm spring. I knew the waitlist was over a year and they confirmed that saying it will be a long time. I stuck to my guns and got on the 'waitlist'..... the next week or a couple days later, called me to say it's in store for me.
Those with defective products are bumped up to the top. It is their way of indirectly saving face without coming across as a suck up I guess lol hardcore
She could have gotten repair at a leather store .. it will cost an arm and a leg but it be able to fix it
Very true! I just returned my Palm Springs Mini for a reason that for them didn’t make sense, for me yes. It was slightly deformed and not sitting straight. Anyways, I returned it and directly they ordered a new one for me and was kept for me a few extra days while I was on vacation and couldn’t pick it up. Once you already bought the item, the replacement shouldn’t involve the initial process of finding and buying it again!
unless other people on the waiting list had the same issues, it's not the first time I hear that it has problems that's one of the reasons I haven't even considered buying one even though I really like the style!

I'm not into fashion, nor do I care for it. But Stella works hard for her money and if she's not happy with a purchase, regardless of what others think, it's within her right to return it. Whether it cost $5 or $2500. And that's all that needs to be said.

It’s not perfect because there is a pocket at front. The back of the bag is round because there’s no pocket coming from the corner. People need to understand that expensive doesn’t mean perfection. It’s great quality but it’s not indestructible

Well, the pocket should have round corners. It's in the design and most bags have perfect corners. Some don't, they are not well made. The artisans clearly have lower skills than they used to and the QC is also off. A bag that price should be perfect.
@@susanh2924 agree totally! The bag is an investment. It should be in perfect condition, not sewn badly. Stella is right to not accept it in that condition. If you're not 100% happy with something of that price, then you're entitled to say so!
the least you could expect from a bag that price is that is is well made. They sell luxury so they better deliver luxury products.
I think they are rushing to get them out that they are neglecting the quality. Hopefully you can get another one with better quality

This bag seems to be filled with so many issues. I get the popularity, but LV needs to go back to the drawing board and figure out how to fix the quality. I’d rather they discontinue this bag, fix the issues, and then come out with something new that is similar rather than keep making the same bag that have handles that are messed up, glazing problems, etc.

I am of the same opinion with the SAs and I believe that it was nothing wrong with the Pochette Metis in reverse monogram that you have exchanged. Sorry.
Just get to know the design, the defect is so much more obvious when you know what it's supposed to look like. The pocket should have round corners. Besides, those sharp edges in the corners will probably make the canvas wear out sooner than a round edge so the bag won't hold as well.
It seems that the quality of super high end replica designer bags are now better than the so called authentic ones. Lol.
her bag is not authentic. that's why the quality is compromised. i could see right away it was a replica. she bought it in dubai so i am not surprised. arabs always scam buyers. if she bought it in paris she would see a completely different quality. they last for ages... nothing comes off within days or weeks...

They want bigger profits and will be shrewed and buy cheap copies, sell them as authentic while fooling LV. This is not unusual in Asia, China and Middle Eastern flagship stores. These stores tend to be franchises. The only places you guarantee authenticity is in European or North American stores.

Your bag had NO problem. Over time the bag will loosen up. The front of the bag is made and sewn differently from the back panels.

Seems like the style bag is just so hard to make with consistency. There are a lot of parts. Even with all the issues, I’d still buy the bag but I think that contributes to the problem of telling Vuitton that the bag is in demand and to keep making it when in reality, the style and way it’s made should probably warrant it to be discontinued. I’m peeved with LV lately...I have a less than 2 year old neverfull that I’ve only used consistently for about 4 months...the handles are fraying and quite frankly look like junk...I took it into my boutique to show them and they said that it’s “normal” and that my bag was beautiful...I said well I think that it looks tattered for such a “young” bag and they suggested I replace the handles...$200...uhm no thanks...I spent $1500 on this bag to have to spend another $200 because the handles are made like junk? I agree that you deserve to be picky when spending that much money on a bag!!
I think a few years back they would've taken the bag back and fixed it for free because they had some dignity left. Now the quality is so much worse and defects seem to be the new norm.

It’s really frustrating because as a teen/young adult I wanted LV bags so badly...so once I could afford them I started my very small collection but so far out of a handful of bags, 2 have had issues!! I had a beautiful artsy that ended up with cracking canvas and now I have a NF that looks like it’s about 10 years old with horrible peeling handles...frustrating for sure

They've fixed a lot of the issues, but I gotta say the bag in this video looks perfectly fine. It's canvas and it's handmade. It's really hard to fit all those pieces together. I hope you found a Metis you like. It's my most practical bag and I love it.

I think the 2nd choice is much better. Love the Pouchette Métis but I think the return was a good idea and your choice was fantastic! For the money spent on LV there should be NO flaws not even small ones.
I would keep the pochette metis. I don’t like how they stitched in the top corners, wasted space and those stitches will not hold over time on the second bag. The whole look is different. I’m glad you like it though.

Hi dear Stella, I'm sure you love your husband to the moon and back; but never, never make a quick decision on purchasing an expensive item, just because he's a little bored at the store! He'll get over it 😉😂! Take your time, inspect the item, and if everything is fine, you decide to buy it (or not, as you wish). But no pressure, neither from sales associates (some are amazing and encourage you to put all your stuff into your maybe-soon-to-be new bag, some are in a hurry to get you to purchase the item), nor from your husband or a friend who's in a hurry and so on. Always take your time 😊!

You should have kept the Pochette Metis. I purchased the same bag you ended up with and so glad I bought from saks and had 30 days to return. I wore it straight for 3 weeks to see if anything went wrong. I wore it by the shoulder or cross body 90% of the time to see how the strap would wear as I was concerned the way it was attached right on the back of the bag right to the canvas. Well sure enough in 3 weeks it started to pull up the canvas! LvLover bought this bag too and returned it with the same concern. It would have been a nice size bag but they should have put brass rings on the sides to hold the strap.
That's really sad :( It's lovely when you find something you really like and it sucks when you have to return it because of flawed design.
I am normally very particular about bags being perfect but this wouldn’t bother me. I know it’s expensive but it looks good...
i agree.. it looks good to me too. recently received speedy 25b from online shopping and it has a scratch with one of the leather so I have to return it. I noticed it right away. LV quality has gone down honestly.

I prefer the one you exchanged it for. Really nice one that you ended up with and it looks like it would wear better. All those points on the returned purse would wear first.
I love your UA-cam channel! I am a big fan! I do have to say I prefer the Pochette Metis. I don't think that there was anything wrong with your reverse mono. It's a handmade bag and it is a part of the characteristics on handmade products. Also the new bag is very boxy. Not loving it...but these are only my thoughts. If you love it...then rock it! ❤️

The corners r not a big problem, it’s not obvious at all. It’s made partially by hand, by human, not 100 percent machine made. So there is some “imperfection” which is very understandable. And this doesn’t affect your usage, doesn’t affect the look, plus it was the turning point of the stitch. You are right the way to open the pochette Métis is not as easy as the other bag you exchanged to, but that way it actually makes it more secure, there is pros and cons.
PEOPLE!!! this is a channel that Stella created especially for luxury bag reviews, fashion, etc. If you aren't in to that, think it's ridiculous to spend that much money on a bag, think that Stella is "ridiculous" because the bag was defective, etc...... This is probably not the channel for you. Why come here just to leave negativity? She has already created a separate channel because the @flywithstella viewers weren't interested.
I stalked the Louis Vuitton website for about a week and got lucky enough to order the monogram Pochette Métis online. It came in today and is PERFECT! They had it online in the reverse monogram as well, if you truly love the bag I would stalk the site. But you were right to return yours, after this video the first thing I did was check the edges😂 and lucky enough they were perfectly round as they should have been. The new bag you choose is beautiful and I hope you enjoy it! But hate to see you give up on a bag you truly love.
The Marignan is beautiful; excellent choice! As long as people purchase/keep defective bags no matter the cost, the design houses will continue to produce and sell junk. Bravo for returning it and not allowing the salesperson to "convince" you it was "normal". I stopped purchasing Chanel years ago due to this issue. LV has some serious problems as well and yet...why should they step up and fix it when people continue to throw money at them? Enjoy your new bag!!

Got mine today and at first I was a tiny bit bummed that it's not made in France but then after close inspection it's so well made looks perfect from each angle. I agree your reverse front corners are not how they supposed to look (mine are perfectly rounded). It probably doesn't affect durability or functionality, but it would bug me as well! Too bad it didn't work for you because PM is absolutely a gorgeous bag (when it is how it should be).
I dont see anything wrong with those corners. Pretty much all the pochette metis ive seen are like that. But if it bothers you then youre doing the right thing returning it.👌🏼 U’ll never be able to un-see it.

I think you’re being way too particular, I looked at mine and it is the same in the front, As yours.You can’t compare the front and the back because the way it was made is completely different, on the front and back look at the stitching.

I saw a video ( I hadn't watched it yet) It mentions a recall on Pochettes.Thanks for sharing because I love that bag too. I have the Speedy 30 and wanted to buy the Neverful and the Pochette. I bought mine from the boutique in Atlanta and bought the Zippy wallet from New York's Boutique as well. So far no issues. Thanks for sharing. You're so cute in your glasses.
After two different Pochette Metis, one in mono and the other in Empreinte they both had quality issues. I gave up and got the Vaugirard as my replacement bag in creme cowhide and mono. I am very happy with it and it's better quality. Love your new bag.

I haven't even finished watching the full video and already I can tell your experience was somewhat similar to mine although mine turned into a bit of a saga. I was on a waiting list for the Keepall for two weeks and a half only to receive a faulty item (marks on the hardware and leather creasing on the handles) then entered into a 2 months saga of emails/calls, lost UPS parcel, returns, replacements and finally last month I decided to call it quits. We as customers are better informed than the people they have working the CS numbers. Granted part of the carousel of stories and at times what seems like lies, is tactical just like their waiting list game but the bottom line is that they are a global company that hasn't yet figured out how to successfully operate globally in this day and age and the brand policies are a spit in the customer's face at best.
I have shopped with LV for a while now (although I don't hoard bags) but this last experience is probably enough to never ever again choose to give LV my money only to be treated this way. At an initial 3000% profit per item, these bags are some of the cheapest to make with the only thing that used to set them apart being the craftsmanship and attention to detail which has gone out the window almost a decade ago and left us (the customers) having to deal with the mess of it all.
With more corners cut (yes, pun intended in relation to your experience) every year and the 'high street' feel LV has nowadays with every college student wearing a Neverfull at the mall, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up with Michael Kors "status" soon!

I too wanted the Pochette Métis but it’s impossible to find so I too got the Marignan as my first LV bag and I love it. I wrapped my handle in Monogram Confidential Bandeau and it takes the bag to a super classy look. I highly recommend the bag and the bandeau.
I was considering whether or not to add the Pochette Metis to my collection because it is a really cute bag, but after hearing about all of the issues with it, I think I like the Marignan more!
Also, I didn't know about the heart shaped bag!

Stella love watching your videos. I just bought the pochette metis reverse. It’s my favorite bag ever! Love love love it. Give this bag another chance. I was in the store for something else and had just told the SA to put me on the list for it when she casually place the reverse on the counter. She thought I only wanted the monogram one! I was so happy to see it and I love that the reverse has a black handle instead of the vachetta leather that patinas. I just traveled with this bag and it’s perfect. I checked the corners very carefully thanks to your video and those were not a problem. Bonus no one has this purse in comparison with the neverfull. The neverfull seems like they counterfeit so much I will never buy one. If I am going to spend this kind of money on a purse I will endeavor to get the most unusual one I can get my hands on.

Thats why I prefer buying pre loved classic LV bags, the quality is better compare to the new models at the present. Value for money and its still classy and timeless. A seller once advice and told me this.

@roshini xo I already returned mine. I think it was 15th week of 2019. When I returned mine, the store manager told me the uneven corner is considered acceptable bc every PM is handmade and "human makes human errors."
I had to exchange mine like 4 times and it still has glazing problems right along the side back and front edges. But it’s so beautiful. I need to have it.
Love the Marignan even more than the Métis. The Marignan isn’t as played out in my option as the Métis. I feel like EVERYONE has the Métis. The Marignan is so much more elegant and classy too!

I started following you because I’m afraid of flying and thought that may the seeing that world from the perspective of someone who works in the industry would help me out, and it totally did! I like the one you got in exchange. I had issues with my pochette Metis as well...wish I'd returned it because it makes me sad especially considering the price. I almost got the Marignan last time I was in the store but I wish the strap was thicker. I don't like the thin strap at all for such a large bag.
Almost every PM is made like that, so honestly it was nothing wrong with your bag and your old one was probably like that too but hey it’s your money and choice so hey I get it. My PM has similar corners and it’s because of the inner pocket...doesn’t bother me as you can’t tell unless you’re staring and running your fingers around the bottom of the bag which I don’t have time to do everyday...

The pocket in the back is meant to be more flat while the front pocket is meant to hold more. THAT is why the edges aren’t ‘as round,’ but okay.
I originally had the PM and purchased it the week it punched in 2013. The original had an extra pocket inside, I loved that bag! I can’t remember when the glazing-dye issues started but I ignored them just to hold on to my bag because the newer bags were different. Well the dye issues became so bad I no longer carried the bag and it was depositing sticky ink on the keepsake bag. I just received a call to take it in along with another piece, and they were both made in France. I reluctantly got an updated beautiful PM in Empreinte ( sans my extra pocket) and she (so far) seems pristine and she was made in the USA. None of my USA bags have ever had issues. I’m starting to rethink me love for “Made in France” only policy. Btw, I miss my original PM😢😢.

I purchase a Louis Vuitton bag a few years ago that cost $2,400.00 , the studs started falling after a few months. My boyfriend went to the Short Hills Malls to question the bag and he was told to send it to Rego Brothers in Morristown that they would not fix it. I went to Rego Brothers and the owner asked me if the bags was real and I showed him the receipt from Louis Vuitton Short Hills Mall, I was really embarrassed and his response was it was made very CHEAP. *Agree. My mom owns this bag. I quickly looked at it and one corner has slight. The corner-roundness should be finesse and not crumpled but nicely stitched from the inside so that the outside's fold is smooth. My made in France NM Pochette Acessoire too has that slight crumpled stitching by the pipping. I just learned how to accept it, lol. I mean for the price and for the luxury brand, those fold-stitching (on this and other models) should be finesse and not crumpled but nicely rounded. Hello to LV quality control! Have you had thoughts about the empreinte version of the pochette metis? I was gifted one for christmas/graduation in the noir and it is perfect! Made in October of last year in the U.S. I have not found any imperfections as of yet...
To be honest I do not see an issue at all! Back is better, because it is flat, and in front you have compartment and hand stitched, that s why it is not 100% perfection, which is normal for hand work.

I’ve been eyeing the pochette metis for a while, but am hesitant because I’ve seen so many videos where people are having issues with glazing, specifically with the monogram print. I was just able to get my hands on the Favorite MM, so that’ll do for now. Love the replacement you got!
Yes, I also believe it’s because there is a pocket in the front. I have a monogram one and my corners aren’t round either. But hey, if it bothers you, return it, it’s very expensive for you not to be satisfied. But I do not believe it’s a defect.

I’m into luxury, but why on earth anyone would consider the LV brand luxury is beyond me! It’s friggin coated canvas, it’s not even quality leather!!! There’s been too many complaints about subpar quality. It’s ridiculous.
I want the Pochette Métis as well but i am concerned about the quality. This bag you got is a great bag so i am goin to check it out. I think i like it better than the pochettte.
It’s a beautiful bag. Only you can decide if you can be happy to keep it. I love my vintage Palermo GM, I plan to replace the vachetta.

I ordered my Pochette Metis from their website in AUG of 2018, mine is the original monogram canvas and was made in Italy. It's beautiful and so far I've had great luck with it! After watching your video I even went to look at it again to make sure and I didn't see any of the same problems you had! I first saw the bag when I started watching your channel and fell in love with it! That said, it makes me SO sad you had so many issues with yours because it is such a great bag and I remember you getting it from Bart right before your wedding!! I wonder if because their purses are made in different countries if the quality sadly suffers since there might not be any continuity. However, your new LV bag is super cute and who knows maybe one day you'll be a proud pochette metis mother again (; (; Glad you're loving Abu Dhabi!

Well, I went through 3 pochette metis’! They have so many issues. One was tarnished out of the bag, one was warped inside, one, the leather was peeling (I had the empriente).
I've had my eye on that bag. The only thing stopping me is my annoyance that there is no feet on the bottom. But it's so pretty. Gah. Can't decide.
