My suggestion for your tiny round coin purse, and your heart purse: even though they are not practical for you to use, but they make you smile when you look at them, install a small, cute decorated style (wire?) shelf next to your vanity table to display two or three small purse items.
I don’t think the CHANEL coin purse is considered a small bag, or even a mini. I’d sell them and the LV heart bag and get the boy bag back. Great tips Stella!

That lv heart bag is a perfect wedding bag. The coin bag is a waste. Cute but a waste.
Stella Connolly I actually just got mine 6 months from the boutique and I can count on how many I have worn that bag. It is not practical in my daily life at all but it is just too adorable. I just can’t seem to part with it.

I'm not opposed to buying "pre-loved", but it had to be for the right reasons. I bought my Artsy "pre-loved" because the color I wanted had been retired. But when I was looking to get the Flower, the difference between new retail and the "pre-loved" market was like $100-$200, that's not enough savings for me to buy used over new. 😉

Good tips. For me I love colored bags and I have a few. But I always gravitate towards certain colors that I know I enjoy and wear often in my outfits. Like blue, pink, and purple. I don’t wear yellow or orange much so naturally I won’t get a bag in those colors.

Great advice. I would add "KNOW AND HONOR THYSELF" to avoid making trendy mistakes. I''m thinking of returning the sought after, super-hyped LV Pochette Metis after ignoring my strong personal preference for bags with simple top openings (zip preferred but not required). I need to be able to look down while carrying a bag crossbody or on shoulder, and quickly see in the bag with little effort. The PM has a flap opening and also that little lock thing you have to mess with every single time you want to see in the bag. Stupid me, because I had just sold an LV Croisette with no regrets because I couldn't stand messing with the same lock mechanism and flap (and it was too small). I just can not believe I made this mistake. Must have been the hype. Know your personal preferences and stick to those criteria no matter how cute, beautiful or hyped a bag is. If it's not going to match how you like to carry a bag you're not going to carry that bag a lot. And I also personally do not like having expensive bags that I rarely carry. It's not just the money for me. It just nags at me every time I go in the closet. Someone else might actually love having a collection of rarely carried designer bags. That's fine - no judgment. Whatever happens, "Do You," but you have to know you first. BTW, you are so entertaining and I love watching you.

Hey Stella, in the case of small handbags I just use it when I go out with my boyfriend and he can carry my stuff. The small the cuter, I made this mistake way too many times, even with cheap bags

Love your channel Stella and you are so right😱I sold my LV Damier Azur Favorite, I thought I was so over it and hardly ever used it. She sold in a hot minute. Gone bye bye 👋 $$$. Then the haunting began. I swear right after I sold her I saw her everywhere, taunting me 😖😫and looking awesome! Ugghhh I wanted her back all summer. 😢 I think sometimes you just want to have it even if you basically never used it, kinda ridiculous 😂 but real.

This video was awesome ! We have all certainly made some of these mistakes if not all of them when purchasing luxury . I don’t have many regret sales of bags I’ve sold and believe me I have bought and sold ALOT of bags in my time . However 1 mistake that sticks out to me more than any other is purchasing a Louis Vuitton petit noe in black Epi leather with the silver hardware and reinforced bottom (New Model ) pre loved in excellent condition for an amazing price . I just wasn’t reaching for it , I would always choose my monogram petit noe or my Damier azur noe gm over the Epi . So I sold it for a killer price to a great buyer . All of a sudden out of nowhere I started to feel like I missed it and I decided it was a mistake to sell it . I couldn’t find another pre loved one in the new model in the condition I wanted . So what did I do ? I purchased it brand new direct from Louis Vuitton for $2,000 or something like that . I was put through such a hassle to get it (that’s another story) it became a mission . Well I got it and the minute I went to use it once again I remembered right away why I let it go . To late to return it by that time and resale on Epi leather sadly is no where near canvas LV resale . I took such a hit on selling that bag . It was a complete lesson learned . Since then I now wait for months before I make a bag purchase to make sure I still want it and my impulse buying is pretty non existent now . I no longer care how popular or limited they claim a bag to be ,there will always be another one that comes along . It’s really helped me to know what works for me and what doesn’t ! If there's a specific bag by a specific designer you've found and you're worried it may not be authentic, check out The Purse Forum for that designer as there is usually an Authenticate This Bag thread you can post to for verification and peace of mind. Some are more active than others but I won't buy a preloved bag online without using this (free) service!

I so relate to the selling regrets. I’ve sold 4z bags that i fully regret selling: 1. Chanel Vintage Small Flap in lambskin with gold plated hardware 2. LV multicolor speedy noir 3. LV toiletry in eclipse. 4. Gucci chain wallet why? Why? Why?

Incidentally nowadays the only bags I tend to keep are the small ones 🤣, especially crossbody for their ease of use, and suiting my small body frame lol

Gurl that’s what I’m thinking before about my Large Boy Chanel bag, I was thinking of selling it due to its leather, I’m ok with calfskin I’ve been hunting for caviar tho buuuut I’m happy with it, cause it does look like the smoothness of lamb.... but I don’t wanna end up regretting on selling it just like the speedy, and neverful that I sold both 😭😭😭 I wanna re purchase them again, but the price went up! Lesson learned! Keep what you have specially when you saved up for It, do not be an impulse seller too 😂 I will love my boy Chanel and classic flap and slgs till I get old, I don’t wanna end up regretting by selling them cause of money or fund another bag

Stella a good rule for trendy items is to buy the keychain or wallet or SLG so you kinda have an item in the collection and you don’t get FOMO but you’re not making the financial downer 😗

I always use realauthentication.com to make sure my stuff is real. I got burned for $900 and that was my lesson to get everything authenticated. hope this helps 💕

I sold an LV wallet years ago and i regretted it until i tracked down the person i sold it too then i bought it back lol
Bags I regret include full leather multi pocket bags that are gorgeous but too heavy especially hand carry ones. Now I know the point of canvas, it’s so so much lighter, they don’t get scratches and nicks and they tend to keep their shape better. Huge bags with no organization that have black linings because you will not be able to find anything. Bags with fussy ties or straps instead of magnetic or zip closures. Small rigid bags with no give.

One of my French friends told me to never forget to get the matching wallet. Always ups the resale value. So far I have sold 6 bags with wallets and was told they bought because it was impossible to get the wallets. Just my 2cents.

As a woman who really likes handbags but has never bought a designer bag because I can’t afford it I also couldn’t justify giving the money for one. The excitement after a purchase would evaporate very fast for me. I get bored of handbags and things easily so it would be just throwing money away no matter how well made something might be. Apart from the fact of course that I don’t use leather. Obviously many ladies don’t get sick of purses. Not everyone is like me.
Made all of these, and they were expensive lessons to learn! Especially avoiding that "Ooooh that's so cute and it's on sale!" trap that I've fallen into so many times...oh dear. The money and the amount of regret that's gone is unbelievable. :'D

Sometimes you see something you like but another good company may may something similar. But too be honest Coach made is 1st.

For all those people who are wondering what pleasure we find in buying designer bags: I believe that a bag is a piece of art we can carry everyday and a way to express ourselves. The designers are artists and and we pay, apart from everything else ( material, construction etc) their ideas.
I read reviews for anything I buy.
I personally never peay for this little card holder or little bags I radar peay for wallet or regular size bag
