youre nearly as rough as i am LOL, like the belt sander idea, now youve got me interested in drill bit tempering, the learning has just spirald, 10 seconds that will turn into hours of you tube LOL

The drills are tempered, from what I know, if you go slow , maybe you can keep the tip cooler, and keep the temper. or dip it when it hits the magic colour "light yellow tint" blue is bad and soft

I have a Black & Decker Drill Attachment, that is a 6 inch diameter "rotary" sanding belt. The actual sanding belt is replaceable. The drum is made of very high density foam. I've sanded old, but good, furniture with this; the job taking minutes instead of hours, by hand.
I'd like to see something like this shown on how to sharpen a drill bit, for those without a belt sander.
