Hey Sean! Gotta keep those Mud Wasps under control over there man! Haha We found their nests all over the boat, in places you would have never guessed. Good luck and thanks so much for subscribing and leaving a message! Best Curtis
I love boat work. I could watch it all day. I'm just glad our refit is over and we're at the cruising stage now. Hope everything goes smoothly for you. Cheers!
I know I love it too. It’s almost as fun as the voyaging part! Our boat is in pretty good shape, but we are still doing some work to make her more comfortable for us. Rebuilding the nav station what we’re doing now then installing all new B&G gear. Two years left before we slip the lines! Thanks for the well wishes! Cheers!
@@sunlovesailing We went with B&G in our refit and love it. Our Nav Station also needs a rebuild to get rid of a lot of redundant stuff but I've been putting it off. You may shame me into it.
@@Dreamtimesail Haha, I know your type Dreamsail, I don’t have to shame you into rebuilding your nav station, secretly... you can’t wait to do it! 😉 I am happy to hear you like your BnG gear, I’ve heard mixed reviews on it since Navico bought them. The cups have already fallen off our anemometer?!? Out sailing one day, went forward, and they were laying on the deck. No idea how that could have happened. Our nav rebuild is extensive, we’ve literally torn out the entire desk, redesigned it, and building an entire new station. And I’m building a building at our house just to do all the boat work. A sailors work is never done. Check out our blog at sunlovesailing.com too there’s a couple short reads about how we got the boat.
Yeah, this is our second yacht we’ve been able to complete all the wiring, painting, and rigging, while the mast was unstepped. Figured while it was down get it all finished. Thanks for saying hi!
Paul's been practicing a bunch of knots. I reminded him of your in-the-water emergency harness knot that you showed us. How about a video of how to do that again?
Piper Honigmann We have actually been thinking of doin a knot vid. We filmed me doing a Brummell splice for it but nothing else. Thanks for the idea again Pipes! 😊
And thanks for watching and commenting, haven’t watched The Walking Dead yet but Christina thinks I look like him too, we’ll check it out. Actually getting ready to wire all that stuff to the panel soon, the move to Mexico has kept us from finishing the refit.
For sure Kim! I still like it better for drilling than tapping, it seems the oils like to keep the shards in the tap, and I don’t like that. But WD is the shit!
What's this? Actually heat-shrinking the solder connection heat shrink tubing? Sheer madness! Those are supposed to be left open to catch and hold water in case you get thirsty.
Lol! Hey, we only do things right around here! 😊🤙🏽 No solder, only heat shrink butt crimps. The solder ones are low temp and can actually heat up and come apart. Thanks for watching and comment Ryan!!
Very helpful video. I was just looking at my mast and found a little kentucky mud. I'm on the Ohio just north of Louisville!

This is exactly what I was looking for, thanks.
Super cool, glad is was helpful!, thanks! What’s your project?
Nice work.
Thanks CNA!!
man, lucky for you the mast was on the ground! our masthead is 22m above sea level!
