Talking about Kiba and plates, the fact that area could be the best location to farm plates and attachments draws alot of action to it, just like reserve was back in the day with drop down room for tech spawns. That era of tarkov was great and they need to focus on making every map have a resource area like that. If your low on food go to interchange if your low on meds go to woods low on ammo reserve. On topic with the map to map travel, having raid exp multipliers depending on the amount of locations you have visited and time in game would be a cool feature.
Focused loot for different maps would be nice to see. You already see light aspects of that but it should be more distinct. Not to mean that it would be imppssible to find tech spawns on shoreline for example, but if the focus would be medical and barter items, well you should be able to find those in much greater quantity than any other map, with more spawns and consistantly better spawns
Each map should have at least 3 different guaranteed loot rooms. Example Interchange - Weapons armor - Kiba. Food - Goshan Meds Ultra medical Reserve: Drop down - Tech Marked rooms and maybe rework the knight buildings or the barracks to be more in line with an armory with ammo out the ass, and some guaranteed high tier ammo behind the keys. At least 3 per map to avoid some maps just being dead all the time because there's no point in going back after the quests, and adding more grindy quests to keep people coming back onto it sucks ass.
General Sam made a great point about few years ago when found in raid was first introduced. When people like him and me found a big ticket item, I’d be way more willing to go after PVP since I know I’ve already made money, but after found in raid came out, I played more and more cautious the more loot I found. Also I absolutely loved the new armor system, and I don’t think it was pointless. When I unlocked my first lvl 5 plate, I felt way more survivable.
Because it is way more survivable. The people saying it isn’t viable are the people upset that they aren’t invincible anymore. Armor works exactly how it should, and it protects quite well. The average player will isn’t instinctively aim center mass because it’s easier to hit, but high level armor pretty much still can’t be pinned by most ammos in the game. It’s way better. I’ve never died to a chest hit. It’s always the head or neck

I don’t get why these streamers complain and make tasks and traders worth unlocking in an MMOFPS game… I wanted to enjoy next wipe by grinding ragman level 4 and dying to Timmy getting one shotted by 9mm PST. I am a hardcore virtual soldier. I’ve read on the war books, I’ve watched the navy seal podcasts. I want to move slowly, tactically for hours at a time, averaging 1 kill for every 12 hours played and this ruins it.
Go play squad or arma. You are one in a MILLION and I mean there might even be less then that of people who want to play a FPS with 0 to no action. This will NEVER happen in a FPS game that is centered around gunplay.

@@davidschannel3594 I can actually help with that, go to modding then select the magazine square then all the compatible magazines you have will be there. Just equip the magazines you want to use one by one and when you go back to your stash you will have all the magazines at the topmost stash slots, super helpful for me.
The only thing that i would change regarding the changed armor system would be to change availability for some bullets like 5.56 M855A1 and 5.45 BP. i would put them on ll4 traders but questlocked because if we are in a state of the wipe where the majority wears lvl 5 armor, that currently makes those two calibers useless compared to whats available. e.g. 7.62x51 etc. especially playing solo needing like 40 bullets to kill someone if u only hit the chest/stomach area simply doesnt feel very rewarding if u use M856A1 which is the currently best ammo for that caliber which u can obtain somewhat repetitive
A litle change i noticed is the penetration and armor stats being in display when you inspect the ammo. Im so thankful for being able to check it fast instead of going to an external website (specially for newish players like me)
most important is that ledx used to be soooo rare on shore 2 wipes ago that it actually kinda ruined the raid once u found one since u had to get out asap or quicksell for 200k now u can just shove it in the prison purse and continue on with some money to fall back onto like in 11.x
Exactly. I’m going to run interchange again because there’s actually an incentive to pop SJ6 and rush GPU’s. I can loot PC’s too and if I find one, I can then just go and push shots and PvP. AND, if I loot a LedX or GPU and win PvP, I profit off the gear too. PvP is profitable again as well giving you more incentive to fight people as well. Always sucked being down on money and avoiding PvP to get good loot and then need to leave the raid to secure profits… More hatchet runners probably, but it will also mean more PvP overall and PvP around high tier loot spots as well.

I honestly think the neck hitbox was a complete brainlit move. Bitch, at least make our vitals work right before you start adding more 1 tap hitboxes. I mean my PMCs heart is apparently the size of a lunchtray, which doesn't make sense considering I can only sprint 100 feet before being physically unable to move faster than a walking pace. Armors and ammo were so janky. Its insane that you could be just as effective with a pp91 running quakemaker or rip, as with a decked m4 running m995... which really made progression feel non existant when a fking KEDR is 1 tapping an altyn zabralo combo on a center mass spray. Really made running anything more than a paca kedr a waste of money... which felt awful the moment you progressed into other tiers regardless. Oh and when you were unlucky enough to hit only plates, which was rare, it felt aweful to mag dum, then get droped in 1 return shot. Especially if you were running better gear, had the better position, got the drop on them, and still die to what is essentially failing a d20 roll.

BSG should really have the traders send you a message and say: “hey peacekeeper here dude. I’m offering some m995 now, but it’s not cheap.” And he can sell it for a few weeks or until end of wipe. The game could be a lot more dynamic than it currently is.

As a retired green beret extract camper i believe that the PMC karma will simply be a buff to campers. If no body comes at least this boss will, and I'm sure whatever he has is better than a bank robber and a silenced kedr. And maybe the boss comes plus pmcs. An AI boss will not stop rats at all.

I feel like the armor rework is too big of a jump back to the old complete protection of the past. I feel like it would be a good middle ground to adjust the economy around the armors, like why is the empty slick rig still a fortune, and boost the soft armor so the rigs matter more and there can be large area coverage that is still more meaningful, but chads can't go back to god tanks if you can't pen level 5.
The streamer community failed to re-adjust to the completely new concept. Instead of whining about "armor doesnt work" or "i got killed by a bad bullet" they should have wrap their heads around the fact that in the new system there were no "bad" bullets now and armor was not supposed to work 100% of the time. They gave completely wrong feedback to the devs and this step backwards is a result of it. If they were thinking along the new rework, they would whine about the damage system and that so many ammo types didnt got their damage re-balanced to the new armor resulting in many "random" one shots. There were no reason to keep so many 85+ damage bullets in the game when any one of those could hit you in the thorax directly. If BSG massively nerfed those damage numbers we would have a lot less insta kills across the board while also kept the basic ammo generally effective (wich was the intention of this rework, btw). This should have been the first responce to the problem and it didnt require a single line of new code introduced to the game - just tweek some variables and observe the results. But our streamer community completely failed at providing unbiassed feedback and just cried their way to nikita. Becase it makes bad content when you cant stomp on undergeared lobby's while overfarming everybody by living in the game 8-10h every day.
no, the new change is not good. its just a slightly more tanky version of the ol system. the problem is the way hitboxes are categorized. a bullet that gets between the plates and hits your collar bone is treated the same as if it was your heart, because the entire thorax is like your heart, there needs to be a "vitals" hitbox in the center of the thorax, so that way, the plate system can do what it was intended to, and youre not dying to what should be flesh wounds. Heavy bleeds, fucked up breathing, increased sway or visual effects maybe, but you should only die instantly if a bullet zips through where your heart should be. everyones just reacting to garbage changes instead of proactively coming up with better ideas. "oh im dying less, the change must be good". no its not, and a fix for it to make the armor system what it should be would take maybe a weeks work for a mod developer.
My strat with this new FIR system is whenever I have to do something on shoreline I go to east side and get the dorm guard desk key. I put that in my keytool and it instantly covers the cost of my kit, like 300k for it.
'The old armour system was bad because you could use bad ammo against good armour.' Sort of, and does show the problem with the pre-armour rework and current versions of armour: There is no *concept* of 'mid tier' ammo. You either ran the best pen you could, or leg meta. Running anything in the middle was worse and this really constricted what guns you could use, to the point that everyone baring sweats just ran sp7 in a kedr, because it would ENTIRELY ignore armour, which is a bigger problem that plates only covering 70% of your thorax instead of 100%. And this patch having the plates cover 98% of the thorax ironically makes 'armour' you wear unimportant, it doesn't matter whether you got an iotv a zabralo or an mmac: It's about the plates you carry, not what you carry them in, which lowers diversity of gear, a clear step backwards interms of what bsg attempted to achieve: Keep 'side' soft armour and side plates covering armpit, increase soft armour on tier 4 traders (iotv, redut, gzhel, bagariy) to class 4 (bigger ones like zabralo, thor rein., redut-t5, to class 5), then correctly shift the angle of the chest model to face towards where you're looking, not to the side exposing the ribs that previously weren't covered by plates: And you've fixed most issues with the last 3 iterations of armour.
I stopped playing this game a little after 0.11 came out and couldn’t get back into it when the newer updates came out as I didn’t have the time to really dump into this game and a lot of the changes just made the game unbearable for me. But seeing the found in raid change makes me really want to pick up this game again because it finally allows players who don’t have a whole lot of time and even new players to have a bit of leniency when it comes to the “hardcore” elements of this game.
I would think for map to map travel would be the specific maps that have extracts to other maps. E.g Path to lighthouse, Road to customs, factory gate, etc. They'd just have to make exfil points to connect every map. Now how the time works would interesting. Maybe load into a fresh raid?
Non-FIR flea is good only if they don't reintroduce global trader limits. What sucked before is every good ammo, gear, whatever sold by the traders would instantly sell out by people buying it at reset and immediately flipping it on flea for 4-10x the trader cost.

Can I just say as a fairly new player. Found in raid system has helped me massively and actually able to play the game. I played 2 wipes ago and ran out of money and dropped tarkov ( I was a bot so I lost everything) Now I’ve played up to level 40 this wipe and it’s been going pretty well, I’ve made good mission progress, tapped a few pmcs and make a good bank roll. Being able to pouch things really helps me seen as tho I’m still new and learning and 90 percent of the time die to someone with better gear, ammo and just generally better at the game than this noob. Gives us newbies a chance I think!
The removal of FIR requirement for the Flea is a horrendous decision imo. I think the reason you don’t hear negative opinions about this is, because the people that hate that change don’t play the late wipe currently. And honestly making money in this game is already way too easy. Just click heads is the same as saying just get good. Toxic!

I don't like PMC karma at all and not because I dislike the idea of A karma, but rather I want to play the game how I want and as of late I've been playing PvE quite a lot so to have that kind of system I think is somewhat disappointing although if the boss is manageable to kill relatively easy that would be okay, but still I think that AI should patrol all the areas by default and not to have a specific boss type character intervene because again, I want to play the game how I like and I do not like this idea of punishing the player (again depending on the boss, in which way I'd rather have patrols again) for how they want to play even if that's one way or the other, so I hope that they won't implement this or really nerf it down or again (sry) have AI patrolling maps better, with use of nades etc.. if they spot you. The idea of connected maps is awesome. Found in raid was democratically chosen so I am fine by that, and also like the idea myself too because i noticed I could get items from flea to complete my trader tasks which I didn't like too much when I did it a few times, seeing as I'm also relatively new to the game. Armor system is okay because in essence that is why they have tiers of armor which kind of totally makes sense. QoL changes are nice. But yeah. I hope in general that they would work on the AI a bit more, and I like the AI as it is now with the tactics they apply but what I"d really like to see more is just them, the bots being able to patrol the maps and get into spaces where sort of only players can hide in and that would be fine. Like it wouldn't be a totally bad idea I think to add more bosses to the maps but again that they would be manageable and not some like fantasy tank like characters. Because I also like the PvE mode so much, I hope they give it some love too honestly because it is really good I think.
Ugh, Lame, now i need to do tasks to kill players with thorax shots. This wipe am lvl 35 and have probably done like 6 tasks. Traders lvl 2 and 3 and a few lvl 1.
I like most of the points, I think there is more nuance to the loot v experience. If your constantly getting pummeled and never get look the experience tanks. It takes a good combo of focus on bother the fights and the loot. Overall good video.

I feel like the armor rework is too big of a jump back to the old complete protection of the past. I feel like it would be a good middle ground to adjust the economy around the armors, like why is the empty slick rig still a fortune, and boost the soft armor so the rigs matter more and there can be large area coverage that is still more meaningful, but chads can't go back to god tanks if you can't pen level 5.
The streamer community failed to re-adjust to the completely new concept. Instead of whining about "armor doesnt work" or "i got killed by a bad bullet" they should have wrap their heads around the fact that in the new system there were no "bad" bullets now and armor was not supposed to work 100% of the time.
They gave completely wrong feedback to the devs and this step backwards is a result of it.
If they were thinking along the new rework, they would whine about the damage system and that so many ammo types didnt got their damage re-balanced to the new armor resulting in many "random" one shots. There were no reason to keep so many 85+ damage bullets in the game when any one of those could hit you in the thorax directly. If BSG massively nerfed those damage numbers we would have a lot less insta kills across the board while also kept the basic ammo generally effective (wich was the intention of this rework, btw). This should have been the first responce to the problem and it didnt require a single line of new code introduced to the game - just tweek some variables and observe the results.
But our streamer community completely failed at providing unbiassed feedback and just cried their way to nikita. Becase it makes bad content when you cant stomp on undergeared lobby's while overfarming everybody by living in the game 8-10h every day.

no, the new change is not good. its just a slightly more tanky version of the ol system. the problem is the way hitboxes are categorized. a bullet that gets between the plates and hits your collar bone is treated the same as if it was your heart, because the entire thorax is like your heart, there needs to be a "vitals" hitbox in the center of the thorax, so that way, the plate system can do what it was intended to, and youre not dying to what should be flesh wounds. Heavy bleeds, fucked up breathing, increased sway or visual effects maybe, but you should only die instantly if a bullet zips through where your heart should be. everyones just reacting to garbage changes instead of proactively coming up with better ideas. "oh im dying less, the change must be good". no its not, and a fix for it to make the armor system what it should be would take maybe a weeks work for a mod developer.

My strat with this new FIR system is whenever I have to do something on shoreline I go to east side and get the dorm guard desk key. I put that in my keytool and it instantly covers the cost of my kit, like 300k for it.

Sort of, and does show the problem with the pre-armour rework and current versions of armour: There is no *concept* of 'mid tier' ammo. You either ran the best pen you could, or leg meta.
Running anything in the middle was worse and this really constricted what guns you could use, to the point that everyone baring sweats just ran sp7 in a kedr, because it would ENTIRELY ignore armour, which is a bigger problem that plates only covering 70% of your thorax instead of 100%. And this patch having the plates cover 98% of the thorax ironically makes 'armour' you wear unimportant, it doesn't matter whether you got an iotv a zabralo or an mmac: It's about the plates you carry, not what you carry them in, which lowers diversity of gear, a clear step backwards interms of what bsg attempted to achieve:
Keep 'side' soft armour and side plates covering armpit, increase soft armour on tier 4 traders (iotv, redut, gzhel, bagariy) to class 4 (bigger ones like zabralo, thor rein., redut-t5, to class 5), then correctly shift the angle of the chest model to face towards where you're looking, not to the side exposing the ribs that previously weren't covered by plates: And you've fixed most issues with the last 3 iterations of armour.

I stopped playing this game a little after 0.11 came out and couldn’t get back into it when the newer updates came out as I didn’t have the time to really dump into this game and a lot of the changes just made the game unbearable for me. But seeing the found in raid change makes me really want to pick up this game again because it finally allows players who don’t have a whole lot of time and even new players to have a bit of leniency when it comes to the “hardcore” elements of this game.

I would think for map to map travel would be the specific maps that have extracts to other maps. E.g Path to lighthouse, Road to customs, factory gate, etc. They'd just have to make exfil points to connect every map. Now how the time works would interesting. Maybe load into a fresh raid?

Non-FIR flea is good only if they don't reintroduce global trader limits. What sucked before is every good ammo, gear, whatever sold by the traders would instantly sell out by people buying it at reset and immediately flipping it on flea for 4-10x the trader cost.

Can I just say as a fairly new player. Found in raid system has helped me massively and actually able to play the game.
I played 2 wipes ago and ran out of money and dropped tarkov ( I was a bot so I lost everything)
Now I’ve played up to level 40 this wipe and it’s been going pretty well, I’ve made good mission progress, tapped a few pmcs and make a good bank roll.
Being able to pouch things really helps me seen as tho I’m still new and learning and 90 percent of the time die to someone with better gear, ammo and just generally better at the game than this noob.
Gives us newbies a chance I think!
The removal of FIR requirement for the Flea is a horrendous decision imo. I think the reason you don’t hear negative opinions about this is, because the people that hate that change don’t play the late wipe currently. And honestly making money in this game is already way too easy.

Ive never liked armor or high tier armor sense most people run high pen bullets so I prefer the light armor for speed and safety from AI. But yeah the we have with the bad hitboxes just made armor even worse vs what we had. I mean I live when armor does armor and save you like my wipe 3 wipes ago when I told my mate to yes bring a helmet and in that raid his got taped 3 times in the head at 3 different times and lived. or when you go early wipe with Ronin helmet and be deaf. but you shrug of headshots like they are nothing sense no early on bullet pen above 3 so you could early have a fight instead of 0.1sec time to kill

I don't like PMC karma at all and not because I dislike the idea of A karma, but rather I want to play the game how I want and as of late I've been playing PvE quite a lot so to have that kind of system I think is somewhat disappointing although if the boss is manageable to kill relatively easy that would be okay, but still I think that AI should patrol all the areas by default and not to have a specific boss type character intervene because again, I want to play the game how I like and I do not like this idea of punishing the player (again depending on the boss, in which way I'd rather have patrols again) for how they want to play even if that's one way or the other, so I hope that they won't implement this or really nerf it down or again (sry) have AI patrolling maps better, with use of nades etc.. if they spot you.

Found in raid was democratically chosen so I am fine by that, and also like the idea myself too because i noticed I could get items from flea to complete my trader tasks which I didn't like too much when I did it a few times, seeing as I'm also relatively new to the game.
Armor system is okay because in essence that is why they have tiers of armor which kind of totally makes sense.
QoL changes are nice.
But yeah. I hope in general that they would work on the AI a bit more, and I like the AI as it is now with the tactics they apply but what I"d really like to see more is just them, the bots being able to patrol the maps and get into spaces where sort of only players can hide in and that would be fine. Like it wouldn't be a totally bad idea I think to add more bosses to the maps but again that they would be manageable and not some like fantasy tank like characters.
Because I also like the PvE mode so much, I hope they give it some love too honestly because it is really good I think.

I like Lighthouse but the Scav Players are the problem for me. Sometimes Scav Players are faster at USEC camp then me as PMC Players.

I like most of the points, I think there is more nuance to the loot v experience. If your constantly getting pummeled and never get look the experience tanks. It takes a good combo of focus on bother the fights and the loot. Overall good video.

Side hitboxes should be more exposed so there’s more difference between the various armors and blunt damage should be increased with lower penn rounds
