  • Mountain bikes are without question the most capable they’ve ever been, yet they can still be better. This notion is what drives innovation. Pivot Cycles has long been committed to this evolutionary process. Through a quest for superb quality, the company has established some of the industry’s most stringent manufacturing standards and continues to push itself in creating the best bikes it possibly can. From the first aluminum prototype, to the in-house carbon creation, to the factory-made final product, every Pivot carbon frame is part of an evolutionary process.
Manufacturing-most people don’t think of it as glamorous, but there is an allure to it that inspires and drives creation. The process and production behind modern mountain bikes and their associated products is an art form in itself, one that captivates both bike nerds and bike jocks alike. Made With Love is a series designed to capture the literal nuts and bolts upon which our sport is built: The components and people that bring bikes from the assembly line to trail.

Watching a video like this makes the prices of today's high end carbon mountain bikes a bit easier to swallow... especially for a premium brand like Pivot. The QC inspection, facing, alignment check etc. is definitely not something some other brands do.

I used to work in a bike shop that was a Pivot dealer, I've yet to see any major bike manufacturer have a QC as in depth and complete as these guys. When we did have a legitimate issue, one of the guys from the factory would jump in the truck and deliver a replacement part/frame same day or next day at the latest. Wish more companies operated like this.
The colors, finish, and decals are amazing, only thing I don't like is that massive spare tire of a chainslap guard on the rear triangle lol

Been riding Pivot Bikes for the past 5yrs. Started with Mach6 currently on Firebird29. Once you try DW-link, you’ll never look back. Not to mention I got a good warranty when I broke my rear carbon triangle for the mach6 which I received after a month. I was riding mach6 so hard on the downhills. I am a Fan of Chris Cocalis. Legit geek engineer that loves to ride bikes. Truly happy with their products and if money wasnt an issue. I’d probably get everything they make from DH bike Pheonix, Ebike Shuttle, Switchblade, 4x Point, Trail 429 and Vault.

I enjoy my 2021 Pivot Switchblade! My Team XX1 AXS size large Switchblade weighs 31 pounds with pedals and that's with a lighter rear tire than specced. That bike costs around $11,000. To be competitive and survive in the coming years, Pivot needs to make their bikes even lighter than they are now. Their future high end Enduro bikes should weigh no more than 29 pounds (with pedals). I believe high end bike customers demanding weight savings is an unstoppable trend.

Great bike , rides smooth ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L I added a bigger spring loaded seat to it . Takes a bit of adjusting cables to get brakes and shifting to perfect . I've owned quite a few bikes in the past that were absolutely uncomfortable to ride and they always ended up as garage wall decor . I'm not seeing that with this one. It's pretty light I've only ridden it a few miles but I like it . As for the pedals falling off in the other reviews , the pedal arms are aluminum along with the pedal studs look to be also . I would not overtighten them. I can see it would be very easy to overtighten them and strip the threads right off . All in all I think it's pretty good quality besides the aluminum pedal thing .
