New subscriber here. I hope you don’t mind to help me with this. My old pos computer worked with whatever files i had on an usb stick* from gopro or dji drone. I used my brothers computer when i was at his house to show him. I now have a proper computer and the files transfer over to the library, only the little square the thumb nail would be in is empty. It shows the time bar in the window to the right. I tried vlc to covert them, seems they’re already .mp4 I’m totally lost and stuck. There’s no answers anywhere i could find. More than likely i’m asking the wrong question. Now i’m asking around on some new pages until i find someone willing to respond. Cheers.
The first thing I would try, is to find new footage of the same type and see if that works. Try other types of footage also. Resolve won't play certain footage, so it's a matter of seeing if that transfer has somehow changed your footage. Let me know how it goes. Best of luck
@@GreenGoatProductions nothing works. It’s already a 264, apparently this is what it supposed to be already. I use handbreak or vlc maker and all it does is give me a 264. Nothing changes.
I get the idea but it can be an over generalization or over simplification to just say “LUTs should be post clip.” It would be more precise to say CST and LUTs made only as CSTs (or utility LUTs) to convert to display color space should be last while creative LUTs (looks designed for a specific color space) should go in post clip. Also LUTs designed to be CST’s into a working color space can go any where a CST for that same operation would go. I would replace the word LUT with Look for less confusion.
Very helpful. Thank you.
Cheers mate 🤟

Did you go from Mac to windows or vice versa?
@@GreenGoatProductionsno. It’s crazy how it worked with no problem then and i’m at a stand still now.

@1stAmendmentDrone even new footage that is straight from the camera? Have you tried reinstalling resolve or going down to an older version.
