My fiance is Russian, and I just explained to her the correct pronunciation of Gouda this weekend. I felt like Lowko would be proud.
Tbf, the Russian pronounciation of Gouda (both the cheese and the city) is very similar to the Dutch variant, except for the historical tradition of translating germanic names with an "H" sound at the beginning of the word as a "G" sound. And the absense of the choking sound.

I doubt it. Most germans I know can't pronounce "CH" in my language, which is exactly the "G" in dutch.

It seems a bit unrealistic.
The dutch OU seems like our german AU, while the G sounds much like our CH. I am pretty sure in Austria and Switzerland it should also be a regular occurence. Don't feel to alienated Lowko. You got a lot of friedly neighbours with the same glibberish of a language for the english natives :-)

Hello! Flo said in one of his games on his channel that he doesn't forget the upgrades of his units.
He doesn't do the upgrades because he wants to master the units first and leaving the upgrades out (for now) making the game harder for him.
When he will be better, only then will he start to upgrade his units. So it's just part of his training strategy at getting better at SC.
That LOTV unit tester bit at the end was super interesting! I'd love to see more videos of you just teaching StarCraft 2 to us like that

@@saintmayhem9873 no tomfoolery here sir, our accent just simply does not exist. I can pull off perfect japanese pronounciations, german ones, english ones (both american accent and british accent), russian ones, etc etc. we just do not have an accent. it's lame.
I say we need a video of Lowko basically reacting to the maps. No players, nothing, just going over the maps and reacting to every single cool thing the map has to offer!
You've got it all wrong, Lowko. beckett industries is actually a spa resort for zerg. Those pods on the cliffs are "Volcano View Suites". That hydralisk booked a weekend getaway on AirBnB that was listed as a "hot buy!". Those smaller pods are just a fancy skin care treatment spa. Because zerg deserves a little R-n-R now and then too!
Lowko, weapon upgrades scale with damage and attack speed. Thors roaches tanks and other slow attackers benefit from weapon upgrades more than any other unit in the game, with the exception of the carrier, because interceptors attack twice and both attacks get 1 damage. So carriers get +16 damage, but slow attacking units like tanks get like +10 base and like +20 vs armored. It's a huge amount of damage that allows them to kill more things in a very low number of hits. Roaches get like +6 per hit from +1, which is why in ZvZ +1 is so important, because the roaches can kill other roaches in considerably fewer attacks.
Medevac landed Vikings. You may not like it but this is what peak performance looks like.
As soon as I clicked on the video I saw Flo's name and thanks to the streams went " you houda lose?" and then realized that he meant the way I was taught to say it as a child. Thanks Lowko for reprogramming me.

I just wanted to put this here.... upgrades for weapons, particularly slower fireing weapons get bigger upgrades. Siegge tanks do 15/25 damage in tank form, upgrades make that 17/28, 19/31 and finally 21/34... in Siege mode this is 40/70, to 44/75, 48/80 and 52/85 with full upgrades. Where as armour only goes up 1 per level.
For those who are interested Thor's dps is increased by 10% of the base dps for each attack upgrade, about 16,3% for marine, 12,5% for zealots and 20% for zerglings.

I always hear lowko saying that fast attacking unis benefit from attack upgrades more but never that they also get a way greater disadvantage from enemy amor upgrades
They are helping the said hydralisk to overcome it's fear of heights. The scenery around is reminiscent of char as to help provide a comfortable atmoaphere.

The hydra is the commander of the whole flying platform. But it's a cruel hydralisk, he is the one ordering the ultralisk torture on that one other map

Serious question: why don’t we see landed Vikings in Medivacs against Terran and Protoss? They deal extra mechanical damage and the extra medivac speed solves the transformation slowness issue of Vikings flying in.
Beyond the basic reason of not being compatible with Terran build timings, Marines are much cheaper and already have enough DPS to vaporize a mineral line. They can also chase pulled workers whereas landed Vikings can't.
The Hydra is clearly waiting to compete in a trial by combat right by the moon door !
The Hydralisk escaped the facility and is in the escape pod trying to figure out how to launch it!

Red Alert 3 had the Japanese unit that was inverse to the Viking. Landed it could attack air, flying it could attack the land. It was weird.
It's not so much that fast attacking units benefit more because they attack quickly. Upgrades are designed to give a 10% bonus to damage per level. However, for units with less than 10 damage on their attacks, 1 additional damage is more than 10%. For a similar reason, units whose damage is in the 15-20 range also benefit a lot, because rounding means they get +2 per level of upgrade instead of +1. It's part of what made Colossi scale so well back before the nerf--they dealt 15x2 damage, so they gained 4 damage with each upgrade.

The Hydras are in containers like the one in the Avengers movie. They made it for Hulk but put Loki in and then Loki dropped Thor out of the helicarrier in it.

The reason why "ou" is often pronounced as "oo" in English in foreign-looking words is because English has a lot of foreign-looking words with "ou" pronounced that way, like "caribou", "crouton", and "soufflé", due to them coming from French. Because of this, "ou" is simply assumed to be pronounced "oo" in foreign-looking words even when they don't come from French and shouldn't be pronounced like that, like "gouda" and "Raikou". (And it doesn't help in gouda's case that a lot of food-related words in English come from French.)
I can't help but laugh at vikings landing to escape corruptors.
