- Florencio is back with a crazy game of StarCraft 2. In this Master League match of Terran versus Protoss we start with a Cannon Rush but quickly gets into one of the strangest games of SC2 that I've ever seen... With lots of cringy moments and terrible decisions added in the mix.

You couldn't even compete, these guys can macro way better than you, Florencio eats gold leagues for breakfast. Also he does really long casts of multiple hours and he can't be 100% at all of them

Seriously, that's Florencio's best skill. Making all his opponents confused and disorientated, then letting them screw themselves over

@@DakkaMoreDAKKA Na that's the point, Florencio doesn't seem to have the most on point micro, but he throws enough curve balls that his opponent gets a dozen things on their mind and they forget to do basic shit, or like the Terran did with his Vikings, sending them to Florencio's base but forgetting to swap them into their ground form.
I get were you are saying that and yeah but to me I guess I am only used to seeing the high level games that are posted here and yeah he was throwing all types of curve balls hell they literally shifted almost completely where they were on the map but to me it was lazy starcraft playing but I guess can't expect everyone to be on that level i totally understand that just seems lazy compared to all the others on here just saying but who wants to see Seral be in a battle royal style match

Well cannon rush sometimes can defeat sbd in 3rd minute in a game or slow enemy down. This is best protoss tactic that i will always hate.

I love how the players keep shifting bases like a merry go round or a game of musical chairs. Reminds me of some of the great bronze league heroes games
i think florencio got passive ability which reduce his opponents skill lvl at last two stage

That part where the ghosts were trying to get an EMP off on the High Templar was genius on Florencio's part.
He knew what was coming and split off 3 High Templar to bait it out so the Terran would stim forward thinking he had an advantage.
Truly amazing.

What makes florenzio so impressive is he is master league doing crazy off the wall stuff. If he was gold it would be like whatever. He really does seem to confuse his opponents lol.

flo's opening cannon rush on terran is actually really clever if he gets the contain. if he can make them turtle up he blocks cc floats to the 3rd with stalkers, and just forces his opponent to go broke while they try to break out into their natural that he's FILLED with photons and shield batteries, supported by tempests, oracles, and voids. it's poetry in motion when he times it right
Yalta floating 2k resources most of the game also didn't help him at all. Imagine like an extra 10 vikings

Most people who unironically say they think they are better don't realise how huge a difference having complete map vision is. I'd bet that even someone in low gold could probably win against masters if they had total map vision, it's such a big advantage. So when you see someone do something "stupid" in one of these videos, it's hard to remember that, from their pov, they can't see the huge army seconds from entering their base from the other side when they move out.
That and while watching your videos we have you, Lowko, telling us your opinion on the plays and whether or not it's a good idea, which means we get to hear the ideas of someone who's been casting games at all levels for literal years. I bet I'd do real well if I had a little Lowko sitting on my shoulder in ladder games, that's for sure.
Lowko, lore behind the warp structures of the Protoss, is that these units are born/constructed on Shakuras/Aiur or somewhere else and these structures only warp them onto the battlefield. And zealots don’t really die on death, they teleport away on death and get an immortal shell

I think Florencio's main strong side is throwing people off their confidence and strategies. Which is awesome.

yes could be snipe by void ray, thats why void rays were made to, I guess if he knew there is no siege tanks he probably would go straight to tempests

@ 21:33 based on the movement of Yalta's troops I think he thought Dexter was retaking the main. His troops were in formation as though they were heading for the old main. But the moment Dexter's drones reached Yalta's base. Yalta's forces lost formation and started dropping down. I think Dexter planned that so his new base wouldn't be discovered.

You know, you keep saying Florencio is only doing well because of misplays from his opponent, but I think it's his ridiculous plays and strategies that throw his opponents off and bring out more misplays than they usually make. I just always love his approach of "lets do this ridiculous thing and just roll with it". I mean, I do that all the time, but it's pretty fun to see it actually WORK for a change :P

Lowko please do more master league games. The players are not as skilled and polished as pro games but this was very entertaining. Plus you're comments in this game vs a pro are much better. You definitely flame more when it's not pro players :).

The sewer mermaid relies on confusion and crazy strats to irritate his opponent to death.

Around 12-13 minutes in, Yalta giving away that he made an expansion really close to his main (and natural) by setting up a rally point on the mineral patches, aaaaa that's painful to watch, noooo what are you doing I was rooting for you!

I know my comment is from a year after this vid has been posted, but I just think it’s really cool that lowko and I are part of that Dutch heritage, which makes me just that much closer to being as cool as lowko

I'm in Silver 3 with Zerg and see all this crazy stuff. If they invest in a bunch in cannons and you don't see it in time you can just rush their base with your drones leaving 1 or 2 to produce more drones
Reminds me of a game a Protoss player tried against me a few days ago and he too took one of the bases in the corner after I punished his mainbase for it and just refused to give up before I plastered the map with sensor towers leaving him no room to hide anymore. I wonder now if I might have encountered Florencio under one of his many names? But more likely it was just someone playing similar to him.
Anyway, canon rush Protoss are such a free-win as terran I wonder how this terran could lose so helplessly.

If Yalta’s opponent was a legitimate Master league player than this game would probably look like a normal Master league game but he drew the short straw and got matched against Florencio which at that point league almost goes out the window

This is some kind of an arranged game man. Multiple times they decide not to kill one another off just to keep the show going. You ought be able to spot that.
I've been limiting my SC2 videos to the Florencio Files, so I gotta ask: Has Lowko seen Flo's probious rush or the tactical high ground recall? Because, damn is this guy a wizard.
Man every time i see those vids pop up i get sad that i kinda quit this game. I feel nostalgic even though i just played it for like 2 years. I was too competetive for my own good got hardstuck in masters 3 and eventually dropped down in ranks. I just could not stand being bad at this game wich is why i dont really play it anymore. I got into competetive smash instead and every now and then I feel like returning to sc2...
You were Masters! That takes massive amounts skill in itself, don't get down on yourself :) Rank shouldn't affect your enjoyment of anything in my opinion to be honest, if you feel the want to play sc2 just do it! I play it all the time and I'm barely plat

26:35 Big brain Florencio split its high-templars in two to take the EMP and lure the Terran into thinking he got rid of the storms. So dirty, a true sewer mermaid move.
One thing I figured out is that the sheild battery doesnt heal pylons, I take out the pylons first so that the sheild battery cant heal anything else. I find it to be a very useful strategy (in some cases).
You can just heal the pylone.

This fight was like a dead animal on the street - horrible to see, but you still keep watching.
My understanding of Protos biology (never actually played or read SC, just what various fanfics agree on), Protos are like plants. They just need water and sunlight to survive. They construct their stuff and warp them to wherever needs them. The Zealots and Immortals are biologically based (Zealots being just Protos with laser blades and Immortals being mec-suits for paraplegic Protos). no idea about the air units, but I'm fairly sure that the carrier and mothership have live Protos onboard... Colossi are AI controlled robots

Neither player had more than 3 bases this entire game, and most of the time only had two.
And yet somehow every single base except 1 was taken at one point or another.
