Hi Danni and Joe. Right! The window rubber you have in my day was called Clayton right rubber.
Here is what you do. Starting fitting the rubber to the body at the left hand side of your opening then going
along the top then down the right side then along the bottom meeting up to the join where you started.
Take your window frame and push it into the bottom of the rubber and push to the right to aline it equally
on both sides. Now with a flat blade screwdriver starting at the bottom pull the rubber over the right side
about 2 inches then the left 2 inches keep doing this until the frame is in the rubber push in on the frame slightly not too much because you will pinch the rubber. Finally, pull the rubber over the top of the frame and push the frame
in. Make sure whilst you are doing all this to keep the frame pulled down into the rubber.
The rubber insert you have is a locking insert rubber you will need an insert tool or you can use a screwdriver,
push the insert into the rubber channel this locks the rubber in place with the frame and body.
A small amount of soapy water can be used only on the edge to help fitting.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks for that I’ll save it for future!
Cracking video. Had me in stitches watching you put that seal in with your new £25 tool. F. in useless.
'This Country' does van conversions 😂 Good luck guys - it's strangely entertaining 👍
😂😂😂
So proud of you two, you make my days worth living being housebound. Always appreciate each other through the bad and good. I am so looking forward to going on this trip with you both. Thank you for just being real genuine people I was just like you in my day.
Ahh sorry to hear that but glad we’re of some use to you! Makes it all worth it!
You deserve a medal young man, probably making an error because your doing so much and being tired and becoming frustrated.😅
Cheers Paul! Yeah little bit much going on I think 😂😂
Get the studs for the front wheels from Brickwerks and space 20mm front and back. New longer studs for rear
Will have a look! Cheers
Can’t wait for the next van episode. Hope it will pass the Mot
Fingers crossed still!
i admire your persistence those window seals are a swine to fit
Never again! Some hot water might’ve helped to be fair to make them a little more pliable
@@DanniandJoe I helped fit one on my van , it was awful job, i am considering taking it out to paint but rapidly going off the idea !
I found dragging them window seal tools worked better than pushing them.
Thanks!
Cheers!
I really don’t know why each week I am totally astounded at what you accomplish but I am. I admire you both so much and it’s lovely when Joe’s Dad makes a wee appearance but it would help if he’d didn’t leave ‘damaged’! The only person we are missing at the moment is, Uncle Garry.Take care folks, God bless xx
Ahhh that’s very kind thank you! Yes we miss Uncle Garry!!
Joe, take a look at Urth filters. Hubby uses them, great quality and service.
Thanks will do!
You should really have seen the cut out in the main runner , so you can take the sliding door off without any tools , slide it along to the groove and the mid runner lifts off !! Refitting is the same …..middle of the rear wheel arch look up
I spotted it about an hour after refitting! Should’ve found a UA-cam video to show me first 😫😂
I think I would have saved up for one rather than do all this work on a rust bucket.
Which effectively means I won't get one.
Fair play to you for your stamina and determination to complete the project.
Keep safe warm dry and virus free both.
Thank you! Yeah we just bought what the budget allowed & figured the rest out as we went!
When you do the wrap around the windows, put it in a bucket of water, hot water and leave for 10 minutes, then take it out and put it round the window. I done it to my dad’s old van.
Thanks for the tip!
Don't forget to retorque those wheel nuts in 100 miles ... especially with the spacers and new wheel bolts I bet at least one runs loose!
Yes definitely!
Hi Danni, Joe. It's a joy watching you both renovate the Van. Love the Duck that pops up, I certainly feel your frustration. Joe you are beyond amazing at what you can do, both on your boat and now on the Van. The Van is looking really good now. Take care.
Thank you very much!
I know that probably a week elapsed during the video, but Wow Joe, you made some good progress! I can see why the honking goose made so many appearances. Yes, working on the car outside in winter weather is very painful! I always budget at least 3X the job time when performing projects like that. Thanks for going through the extra effort to video this "adventure"!
😂😂 thank you yes the weather & temp definitely didn’t help, I’d love a nice heated workshop!
Fair play you two, never giving up on them window seals, I would of ended up putting the window through in a rage 😂😂😂
😂😂😂 I came close!
Lol can't believe you filled the floor
😫😂
I’m almost watching through my fingers! It’s an absolute epic! I really hope you make the deadline, but if not, nobody could say you didn’t try.
Thank you! Yeah that’s a fair point, we’ve done what we can!
I have worked with that tool for years and it works perfect. You just have to drag instead of pushing mate..
Best of Luck ❤
Ahhhh that makes more sense!
Im sorry to say that your Windows probably will be leaking. But i cross my fingers for you guys.
Thank you for awesome content.
Best from Denmark
Good luck with the pre MOT Vinne, you've both worked so hard, I'm really invested in your channel and enjoy seeing the work progress, keep it up! I'll have my finger's crossed tomorrow for you! 😊
Thank you! We’ve got our fingers crossed 😫😂
Awww what hard work Joe hope it all comes together sure it will tc now till next time the oldies luv to u both and dad 🤗👋👍🤗👋🌺
Thank you! Fingers crossed!
Another fab video guys! You are smashing it 👍👍
Cheers!
Joe, it's a UA-cam video your filming. 30 FPS is all you need to use.
We’re on 50fps on the canon, because of the lens & adapter we’ve got we can’t go 24/48 so have opted for 50 so we can slow clips down as & when needed!
Your doing a great job Joe. When I'm doing stuff on my van and mgf . I some times struggle. So I leave it for a while then go back. The van is looking great. Your really talented. You and Danni will enjoy it. And know that you both repaired it. Well done big thumbs up. 😊😊
Yeah definitely better to leave it sometimes! Thank you!
Nice to see you both again. Your videos are great. Great work your doing on your van. Weather changing to warm. So happy days Danni and Joe 😊😊😊😊
Thank you 😊
I love watching the two of you. Thank you for sharing and I’m ready to travel with you!!!
Thank you we’ve got our fingers crossed!
Great video guys. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Joe, you had me stressed with you, doing those window trims haha. Wheels look great and it's all starting to come together. Brilliant 👏 👍
Cheers!
Great job guys it’s coming together really well , good look with the MOT 🙏🏼
Thank you!
you know when you had afew bad down days as then i just go onto danni & joe van build as then i am in happy mood hahahaha
😂😂😂
Steamed goggles, try a very thin smear of washing liquid on the inside, it's a short term fix though, maybe look at making vent holes on the bottom of the body, keeps water getting in, let's air in and out. The van looks good, we'll done, sitting high on those new boots as well. MOT 🤞🤞🤞
Ahh good shout! & thank you!
Well done. Keep up good work. Hope van passes mot. Have great week😊
Thank you!
Hi Joe the windows look like a real ball ache, I'm have mine done after Easter three windows out and a partial respray.I have the dreaded seem rust .Good on you for doing your own windows I think I would have hit it with a hammer. Great job mate it's taking shape.
Ahh it’ll be good to get them done! As you can probably tell I wouldn’t recommend doing it yourself! 😂😫
Looking good, hope all goes well with the Mot 🤞 👍
Fingers crossed!
You are doing fab work Joe....the van looks amazing compared to how it did look, and more importantly you have done things the 'proper ' way rather than 'bodgit and scarper techniques'!
Somewhere in-between probably! 😂😂 thank you
Definitely getting there, so close, you got alot done this week, good luck with the M O T , fingers crossed, 😁👍
Fingers crossed!
As. Professional photographer/videographer. There is little difference between the very cheap and most expensive UV filters. They’re basically there to protect your lens in case of damage. Save yourself a fortune and buy a cheap one. There will be no difference in the quality of your footage.
Ah that’s good to know!
Looking good my guy
Cheers!
Hi Danni and Joe, Hope all goes well with the MOT. Good for you hanging in there I would have given up. The new tires will give you a nicer ride.
Yes that’s what we thought! Thank you 🙂
Good work well done 😊nice video
Thanks a lot 😊
10k views in less than a day that's good chaps
Yes not bad at all!
So cool and wonderful ❤️
Thank you!
nice one Guys...get yourselves some lanoguard.....thank me later :)
Thanks will take a look!
What a mission well 👍 done
Cheers!
Good luck with the MOT,it's deserves a pass after the graft you've both put in
Thank you!
I do hope you get a M.O.T after all your hard work.
Fingers crossed!
Sometimes when you work there are some odd birds coming up from nowhere. I wonder why ... 😊😊
😂😂😂
Hey, Joe and Danni! I was wondering, do you think you could share with me some facts about this van? I'd like to know what year it is and what kind of upgrades under the bonnet you did on this beuty!
Good luck with the MOT............
Thank you 🙂
What a nice lad .. not many left 😂
I’ll take it! 😂
It may of been easier to get a professional to glaze your van I tried this on my land rover rear windows same deal after many hours of pain took it to my local car window shop took the guy 20 minutes to do 3 windows 🤷♂️
20 minutes! For god sake wish I’d thought of that 😂😂😂😂
What's the plan once you guys have finished the van building do you have enough money to travel around Europe?
👍
Cheers!
Hi Joe while I appreciate you want to do most jobs yourself I would have thought you could have got someone like a mobile car window fitters 😊
Yes not a bad idea, but labour for fitting is additional cost & they made it look so easy on UA-cam 😂😂😂
Just got the same wheels for our t25, do you have the link to the spacers and longer wheel studs?
So we fitted 5mm up front & still rubbing on the inner rim www.ebay.co.uk/itm/324438588553?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=NECOf4aZQTi&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=4htFw773Ree&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY - that’s what we bought for the bolts but you’d need 10mm spacers like these really - www.ebay.co.uk/itm/325444639236?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=U9-Au6FcRsu&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=4htFw773Ree&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
@@DanniandJoereat thank you!! Good luck with the rest of the build :-)
Hi Joe, where did you get your wheels from?
These are just Mercedes Vito steel wheels (16”) & then painted with some Toyo A/T tyres fitted. The offset isn’t quite right so they’ll require spacers 🙂
Worst weather ever to restore a motor 😢 Makes every job 3 times harder.
100%
Are you going to have a long test run around U.K. before you go to Europe?
😏😳😳
Not much chance of that 😂😂😂
@@DanniandJoe I’ll offer you lots of good luck then 🤔🤔
😏😏
@@bikepackingadventure7913 Might be a little past luck! 😂😂 Have you got an email we could ask a couple of questions if you didn’t mind please?
@@DanniandJoe I’m sorry, I know absolute nothing about vans and fixing them up.
Just a cyclist 🙂
@@bikepackingadventure7913 We have a plan C that involves bikes 😫😂
Maybe soak your rubbers in boiling water?
That's how I cleaned mine. I only have two kids.
Tried with the heat gun but they lose heat quickly & soon go rigid again
If your goggles are steaming up, you probably have the wrong size mask.
Yeah something’s not fitting right for sure
