ahaha i love her ! better than my grumpy teacher XD
I really enjoy listening to this very charming teacher and watching her class. Thanks you from a Basque lady.
Thank you love having you on my channel !!
Thank you for your kind words !!
Very helpful! Can you demonstrate one going backwards?
I liked the video. A very friendly welcoming feel. Makes me think I could do it.
Of course you can do it!
You can !! Lets begin !!
She's so kind and makes sure her student understands the step. I wish she was my teacher
She cracks me up! I LOVE THIS. SUBSCRIBE!
The teacher is talking to much about pas de basque but not how to do it.
It's important to know the what and why as much as it is to learn the how. It's smart to be smart about movement.
Stretch your back foot before closing 5th.
i wish you were my teacher
Amo essas explicações embora eu nao saiba inglês, mas consigo entender pelos movimentos. Gratidão!!!
I'm so glad I found this video! We use pas-de-basque in ceilidh dancing all the time, but I always thought it was "paddy bah"
And I'm playing a scottish song, where pas-de-basque is mentioned! (Which is why I found this video.)
Really wanted to see a break down of movement positions. Disappointed.
Actually it is a Rond de jambe to fifth position in releve !! Does this Help ?
@@RPMDance yes, it helps. Thanks!
Hi lady,
Please can you do a video with exercises for Demi Pointe shoes.
They are becoming very popular.
How do you feel about Demi Pointe shoes.

How to do grand pas de Basque pls?
I am a sort of ballet buff, even at 53. I thought of the "pas de basque" as a waltz step. Now I know what I need to do:
1st step - is to the side with front foot, usually ending in a very wide 2nd position;
2nd step - is crossing that unmoved foot so that this would be the new front foot, ending in 4th position, and;
3rd step - the back foot now closes up to the front foot in 5th position.
There is a waltz step that goes forward front foot (about 3rd position), side on back foot with 1/4 turn (about 2nd position), close up with that other foot (to 1st position). Is that also the Pas De Basque?
Love it !!
Дякую.
Danke! Das sieht so leicht aus...
Pas de mosquee ? ? What’s that stupid translation for Pas de Basque
Just having fun lighten up !!
@@RPMDance only made me smile 😄
Nobody else had a problem with her calling all us basques "peasants"? like how could we be poor AND happy?? way to be using part of our culture and simultaneously insult it...
Hey Olivia! I am talking about Petipa's Ballets in the 1800's when there were peasants in Basque and elsewhere who were supposed to be happy about dancing in a celebration of harvest and royalty that took all of their money! Being jolly and happy to perform in such circumstances seems ludicrous, don't you think? That was my point, so sorry for the misunderstanding!
