The shot where Bardet is on the ground was where he realized that he almost threw away his second position and that he only was 1 second in front of the third spot. Because Bardet is French everyone in France supported him and wanted him to overtake Froome But like I said he almost lost his second place, so he was a little in shock and embarrassed about that.
Cav was one of the sprinter who really didn’t give a thought to the safety of those sprinting alongside him. This is one of the many times that his own actions cause him or others to crash, I don’t know how anyone whose watched more than one bike race with him in could blame Sagan. Definitely only DQ’d because dimension data, the tour’s biggest sponsor, was pissed that their biggest rider was on the ground.
