It won't work if you have chests in your build so it's functionally useless. Any deactivating block will produce the same signal. Trapdoors, chests, levers, buttons will all set it off.
Additional fun note, if you waterlog the sculk sensors they won't make noise, so the only evidence that you are using them will be the little soundwave particle.

I love this, but I think I can make it even more lazy. You need to right click to open because of security against mobs, but when your inside you don't need that security. So just add some pressure plate to the inside facing side and boom best lazy door design. I will be making this thank you 😂

This isn't useless, this is super helpful. I have a mod in my modpack that does this. It's nice to know that this work in vanilla, so now we can use this on my server network
I made a simpler a bit scuffed contraption to do this a few years back actually. It pulled redstone signal from the side, so there needed to be some blocks to cover it. Having to open both doors annoyed me.
no way bruh i legit have a world dedicated for this kind of build, i even sectioned them off based on if a build requires pistons or not, and he's saying this thing solves a problem no one has 💀
This already existed with a far simpler design that was also smaller, using observers below the doors, a piston pushing up a line of blocks next to the door, powering both doors by a repeater powering through the block and then closing the doors by the block being pushed down again after some time.
If replicating this, especially on a server, I _highly_ recommend you swap the lecterns out for barrels. Sure they're less convenient to work with, but they're _much_ more performant (and marginally cheaper if ya care 'bout that). Lecterns for prototyping, barrels for deployment

I think you need to double it (30, 18 and 20 pages) on bedrock, because they have actual books and not the notebooks like Java
