I rarely comment online but have been following your journey for a while. Looking through these comments what stands out is that pretty much every one has meaning. People connect with you. There is not a superficial comment among them. Your natural honesty and beautiful soul shines through your vids and resonates with so many people. Looking forward to the next chapter unfolding
Your land is just so large…lol, the possibilities are endless & could overwhelming..lol. I wish you a speedy recovery. Don’t go doing anything until you are all healed. We will wait for you..
Hi, what an interesting plot you have bought. From what we could see there are clear demarcations between the dry hill-sides and the rain drainage gullies, so many trails!! Looking forward to seeing what you create in the future videos. Hope your poorly arm makes a swift recovery, cheers from Queensland, Aus
I’ve followed your journey from video 1 to the full renovation of the village house. You come across as a very talented, artistic, articulate, very likeable person but above all, a grafter and your tenacity does you proud. Sincere congratulations on finishing the house. I felt your pain, frustration and joy at every milestone. If I were to have a house built, it would be by you as your attention to detail is second to none. Looking forward to next chapter in your life and I hope your arm gets better very soon. Best wishes.
Can’t wait to see you transform your own house 👏 Andy, a friend used bentonite clay to seal the base of his dam, have no idea of cost, but perhaps something to consider.
Hi. You really need to get that unclaimed land sorted. You wouldn't believe how far development has come in land over the last 25 years. Plant grapes or something. Rant over, you have a really nice place there, very envious of that view
I’ve literally just started watching, I saw the house in the village first, then naturally started watching more, but in all honesty, if that is the size of your land, you could easily take a weekend trip, just seeing the whole area! Wow!! What a fantastic place to live!
This is grand . Really is . From one hands on bloke to another, respect, sir. So many fizzing ideas and the persistence to make em evolve , thanks for the sharing and all those blurry editing hours too!
I love watching the transformations of these treasures. Thanks for preserving these homes and sharing the experience. How I would love to do what you do. A very satisfying work.
Take care of yourself, you completed such a lot of work on the town house in a relatively short time. I hope your injury is not too serious. I know you must have a million thoughts on you own house and can't wait to get started but health has to come first. Best wishes from Scotland.
Andrew, I just discovered your channel. You are an amazing craftsman and a wonderful commentator. You had me interested from the beginning! Sorry to hear about your arm injury. It can feel catastrophic when you’re trying hard to finish your home. As a female, it was difficult to get started flipping houses. To date I’ve done 32. The diagnosis of a crippling disease has put the kibosh on any future projects…so I’m overjoyed to find you’re living my dream in Portugal! I’ll be here in Oregon, USA cheering you on. Please heal quickly. 🤗
My first thought is .. That valley could hold a lot of water if a dam was put in ? . Love the well/ patio /BBQ area idea . Hope your arm settles down soon .
I came up with a plan for the roof slab. The cracks in the slab are far worst look from underneath. I would drill holes from underneath either side of the cracks. Cut 6" flat steel plates and weld them to short pieces of rebar, long enough to stick up 3" or 2.5" above the roof slab. I would epoxy them, to glue them in place. I would knock down the walls on the roof, so the slab is sitting on the walls. Then you can run rebar attaching them to the sticking up pieces of rebar and square rebar to strengthen the roof slab. You can now pour a new concrete slab. As always its your job and your home so you can do anything you want.
First video I've watched, & couldn't get over the name of your channel. Had a bloke work on some kitchen benches once. He called himself "That Stone Guy". Portugal reminds me of Aust, hot, dry & with gum instead of rubber & olive trees. All the best with the house reno🇦🇺
Oh wow! Andrew you have an incredibly beautiful piece of land and the property has amazing potential. Just know that you are going to make your home magical for yourself and your sweet dogs. Wishing you a speedy recovery with your arm and all the best with your home renovations. 😊
Portugal is the Bee's knees, the Cat's meow! I've always been on the coastline, cities or villages. What a treat to see an expanse of country area for living. In my dreams!! 🤩 Vacations are the next best thing. I realized late that there was no other place better than Portugal to visit and just be!
Awe fantastic to see Bert again😢 least you have lots of videos with him in them, and of course your memories of him. Looking forward to the next phase of you renovating you home. Take care ❤🇬🇧
Have you ever fed a giraffe? Their tongue is so soft and they eat from your hand daintily. An unforgettable experience. So glad to hear you are going to bring back my favorite wild animal after you repair the house wall.
Looking forward to your new endeavours Andy...going to be brilliant. You do have a lot of land, great for Will and Chris. Have a good week ahead and hope your arm feels better soon xx
Hah, and what a sea view it is. Lovely sunsets, even if the sea is not directly under your eyebrows. Thanks Andy for the re-cap. - Holding out for the Dr's diagnosis and treatment. X fingers. Cheers.
Good to see you back to start on your home. The village house finished lovely, but was a long road. Be good to work from home so to speak. Look forward to your new jorney.
So lovely to see you back with plans for your property. The view from the top is absolutely wonderful. Waiting to see you work your magic through your home and property
Well done Andy, you and James have performed a sterling job on the house in the village, but now we get to see your tenacity and talents applied to your own house. Cheers mate. That blond guy, it is. Take care, good health and best wishes from Brisbane, Australia
I'm so excited for you and your plans for the future. We'll be patient while your arm tendon heals. I look forward to your new video every Sunday. I like your new channel name. It suits you well. Hugs to you and Chris and Will, the boys. Woof. Big piece of land and big plans. Take care Andy.
Don't really know why I'm watching this channel, but I just keep coming back to it. I'm a bodybuilder, or trying hard to be one. And I think the peace and patience in this channel gives me a chance to heal from the stress and strain I put my body through. Or something like that.
That is a fine piece of property Andrew, I do like the new name of the channel too. I’m hoping your arm heals nicely after some rest, thinking of all the work you’ve done in the last year, it’s not hard to wonder how you’ve managed an injury like that. Anyway, very much looking forward to your new endeavor and getting to know the dogs better. It’s difficult for a long time, actually, forever when you’ve lost a very close companion like Burt, for me, it was Buddy and it’s been 3 years, still miss that little dude everyday.
Thanks for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love and bless you Andrew,a lot you have done already looking good 👍😁 hope your arm will heal up soon so you can start with your house.
You reminded us of all the many, many improvements you have already done, especially the well. The village house turned out so beautiful. You three did such a great job transforming the house. It will be exciting to follow you back at your own place. Hope you have good news about your arm.
Looking back at all you’ve done on video must be somewhat rewarding Andrew, you have done a LOT of work on your own property! It’s a shame you got hurt at the end of a very long and arduous journey at the village house, I hope you get good news from the specialist! You really need to give yourself time to recover and relax a bit! Take care!💕🇨🇦
Andy, so much potential with this property! You can do anything you wish. If it was me I’d build a golf hole or two. Pretty rustic so I wouldn’t have to worry about water lol. Can’t wait what toy maker of it!!
Wishing you a full recovery and a good rest so you find the energy to start renovating your own home. Looking forward to more exciting adventures with you, That Blonde Guy!
Thanks for the entertaining and informative videos. Do let that injury heal properly so you and your body are fit for the next amazing reno! Taker care.
Hi Andy , I'm so exited , to see you starting your own home renovation !!! the quality of your work is superb . Congratulation's , I look forward to see you and your brother James every week . God bless you .
Looking forward to the house renovations. You do such a beautiful job!! I hadn't realised your property is so huge. Great place for the boys to run around. Happy healing, hope your arm is already feeling better.
Good to see you, take care of that tendon! Hugs to Will & Cris, I bet they love having you home more! Looking forward to the new projects. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Thanks for the catch up recap. Enjoyed the first 48 when you were tinkering with the yard and house , so looking forward to this next chapter. Always relaxing and enjoyable , with the right amount of dog time. Best wishes from the west coast of Canada.
I can't wait for this. I loved the village property but this is going to be epic. Heartbreak watching the pet you lost, he's there forever on video 💔 I'm wishing you well Andy. Ann xx
Re the concrete tubs- have you considered a self wicking garden bed for some vegetables that need more water. Line the tub with plastic or resin perhaps to address leaks and hold water.
Hey Andy You should look into crack injection for that big crack. Might be the cheapest route for you. It’ll provide you with a water tight seal and “glue” the concrete together.
Hey Andrew, glad to know that you received the parcel, had real fun wrapping it 😊. Thank YOU for all the hour's you put into your fabulous videos for the enjoyment of others which is so appreciated ❤
Great video footage, loved the drone shots. I have a better understanding of the lay of your land. Your dogs will be pleased to have you around a bit more, looking forward to this new journey. Thank you Andrew for taking the time.
There is a product available in Australia that our farmers in arid areas use to stop the water in dams leaching back into the soil so they hold water much better. You add it to the water in the dam when full and as it settles out it forms a barrier with the silt in the dam bottom. A few different brands available but I can’t personally recommend one as I’ve never had to use it myself.
Just cursing UA-cam when I saw this video, what town is your land in? I use to live in the algarve, I still have my house there and an apt as an Airbnb. But I don’t live there full time anymore. Back in Canada. 🇨🇦 Good job keep it up.
Watching this reminds me how many videos I actually saw and what I missed. Fast forward makes it look so easy. Lol. What you've done looks so much better already even though I know you have lots of more ideas for your own home. It's inspiring me to get busy on my own home! Thanks "blonde guy" for sharing your journey! So sorry to hear abt your arm. Maybe use those devices that put electrical pulses? Sorry I couldn't send anything or buy coffee etc, single mom on tight budget. But I can't wait to see what u do with that property.
Walking us through memory lane! Looking forward to you're house project. With the quality off the village hous I have no concerns with yours andy 😊 and yes greatest channel around
Always loved watching your channel firstly the groovey intro music 😅 then your dogs, and the detailed and creative work style, all the best vibes, looking forward to your own project turning into a master piece 😉

That will be a fun name. Only drama is folks looking for Algarve stuff might not see it. Maybe having it in the subtitle will still catch those?
