as part of character review/background check to apply for testing and license - if the applicant has a bill that has gone to collections, is that shown and is that counted against the applicant? is bad credit something the commission will look for/at?
A person passed the licensure exam. A PB becomes active by hanging license with a BIC and complete NCREC form. They remain active after 18 months by completing 90 hours of post licensing courses. Following that a licensee is active if their license is current and they have completed 8 hours of CE yearly by June 10th. Newly licensed individuals skip the first June 10th deadline for CE. Is my understanding correct? Thank you!
Is the LLC going to be involved in real estate activities and be paid real estate commissions? Think of your question this way....think of the llc as a person. Does "Bob" need to get a real estate license? Well, if "Bob" wants to help people with real estate transactions and be paid for it, the answer is yes. Same rules apply for the LLC as a person, just a different type of license (firm vs. Broker)
@@traviseverette Thanks, Travis! Just finished my self-paced course through C&T in Asheville but your videos taught me pretty much everything! YOU are so very appreciated!
This is all North Carolina specific license law that would show up in the North Carolina state specific section of the license exam. If you're referring to the national portion of the exam, all agency items would be in unit 3 of my most recent videos.
What if you become inactive today and you have a closing in 2 weeks ? Do you still get paid?

What if you have a preexisting LLC that does not involve real estate? Would you still need to apply as a firm?

If your license goes inactive because you have not completed your 90hrs of post licensing do you have to go through the 75 hour class again?
No...I would suggest watching the video again. That is specifically addressed.
Would this be part of the test that is under the category of "Brokerage Relationships- Law & Practice"? Thank you!
