Agree with how difficult BPI is, just to share and not to brag po. There was one time, when I received my BPI Credit Card in the office (I asked the agent to address it to office before), and opened it in my desk, an officemate of mine pala saw me opening the card, and he was shocked. He told me "hala ang galing, ang swerte mo napakahirap mag apply sa BPI". Then I realized, totoo sya kase some of my friends even found it hard to get, others got declined pa, then this vlog of Jax pa also told us how hard to get BPI Card is. Tips on how to get. 1. Agree, build your credit score, the earlier the better 2. If you apply, show a card nyo na may magandang limit and also very good payment performance, card companies do ask if my existing card na kayo most of the time. 3. Yes build your relationship with the bank, not only with BPI :)
I got my first card when I was 22. Mag 24 na ako sa Feb. I agree dun sa part na start building ur bank acct. Di ako nag-apply for CC, si BPI na nag offer. Nung una ayoko pa kasi nasa isip ko utang. Gold pa pinadala sa'kin kahit around 20k lang salary ko. Yung workmates ko mas malaki sahod pero mas mataas credit limit ko. Ngayon sobrang thankful ako kasi kinuha ko yun. Napakahirap pala mag apply ng CC kapag walang existing card. Now I have 4 (BPI, CitiBank, ChinaBank and RCBC na di ko pa ina-activate). Very informative CC vlogs mo. Subscribed.

I first watched this noong nag iistruggle ako to apply ng Secured Credit Card kay RCBC last Nov ‘23. Re-watching this vid again now na may regular na cc na JCB sa BDO. I’m so happy kasi nakatulong talaga ang vlogs mo. Sayang nga lang tho gawa 2023 ko pa lang na discover ang vids mo. Edi sana medyo naka start sana ako nang a bit earlier. Last year, I stumbled on this video of yours. I was just casually watching credit card related vids kasi I have plans on applying. But di pa ako sure and anxious ako sa idea na baka madeny ako that time. And just a while ago, I just saw a notif from BPI na qualified ako. Super bilis and I even grabbed the ecredit card version. Agree. I do believe din po malaki factor ni BPI, I also started with them as a supplementary when I was a teen. They applied to BDO, and now I'm using these two as a reference for my applications. 💕

i got my 1st CC when i was 21, fresh grad tpos 1st job ko rn, actually si BPI tumawag skn to offer CC since my existing debit card ako knila, na actually kakakuha ko lng dn nung time na un, wla nmn kahirap hirap sa CC since sila nga nag offer, fill out lng then I'll show ung debit card .. ang pinahirapan ako actually ni BPI ayy dun sa pag open ng savings account, un nga ung debit card ko, since fresh grad, nakiusap ako na bka pwd na kung anung ID lng meron ako , luckily ang bait nung teller lalo nung sinabi ko how much ung ipapasok ko , 1st 2months sahod hehe .. 27 na ako naun , loyal prn sa BPi haha

BDO ever since nag start ako nag work. Payroll and I have savings account with them but never ako na offeran nila ng cc hahahaha but with BPI may account lang ako sa kanila kasi need mag open for my auto debit sa house, ayun inofferan ako ng CC and already enjoying it. Regret ko is why was I so scared before pero very okay sya as long as you're responsible talaga. Anyways, thanks Jax for all this. Agree, for BDO and BPI. BDO sent me an Amex card without applying for it, and BPI also offer me credit card. I just received an email and text saying, I'm qualified for BPI Credit Card. Also take note both of them are I have both accounts.

Agree with BPI and how it helps your status with other banks. I had CC issues in the past, I blame it on my immaturity and age. :( Anyway, mejo nkaluwag luwag at ngkalaman si BPI savings ko, then they offered me a CC na rin. Auto-approved din ako sa Home Credit nung ngtry ako, even before getting the BPI CC. So I can attest to your statement about BPI being a great tool in gaining a good credit score/standing.
In my experience, super dali, meron na akong 5yrs savings account sa bpi that time tapos meron lang tumawag sakin from bpi encouraging me to apply for cc then, ayun tinanong na ko ng mga details tumanggi pa nga ako pero mapilit yun agent kasi sayang daw.. then ayun pumayag ako.. after a week pinadala sa office ko noon yun bpi credit card Gold pa. Feeling ko nakikita talaga nila yun progress ng bank acct mo kung maganda ang pag savings mo.

recently approved on BPI. i applied for Amore Cashback and it was ignored. i tried Gold Mastercard, and it was approved this week. now, i'm also applying for BDO Gold Visa. i'm hoping it gets approved kasi i missed their call last time kaya nacancel. maybe one of the reasons why na-approve because i'm watching your vlogs haha. sa future vlogs mo, sabihin mo may viewer ka na na-approve kasi nanood ng vlog mo. salamat and more vlogs in the future!

Omg this is timely! May nagcall kasi sa akin na from BPI offering me a CC, but I declined kasi natatakot ako magbigay ng info sa call. Then after an hour, nagnotif sa BPI app ko, eligible ako for CC. Edi nag-apply na ako. BPI Blue Mastercard. Then after 2days, nareceive ko na ang card. Happy! Actually today ko nareceive. Once ba naactivate si card, I can use it na agad? Subscribed!
Grabe sayang lagi akong tinatawagan ng BPI na payroll branch inooferan ako ng credit card at mga housing/autoloans. Pre qualified daw ako. Kaso sinabi ko di ako interesado tapos sinabi ko pa yata na not interested ako na tinatawagan for offers HAHAHA

Geez I think I'm one of those lucky guys na inofferan ni BPI ng CC proactively without any requirements at all, as in zero paperwork! Tinanong lang nila if interested ako sa CC and I said yes in a heartbeat! (Palay na ang lumapit e.) Not to mention that they gave me a good credit limit to start with which is sobrang thankful ko because I have the spend allowance if I need to. 😁 This was my first ever CC and I never had any connection with my branch of account. Natripan lang talaga ata ni BPI hahaha

Ang card na maganda telationship ko is RCBC. DONT have any acct with them but they gave me a premium one bec of my existing bpi card during that time. Since 2018 pa card ko but never have to pay the annual fees. Mabait sila sa akin! Di gaya ni bdo at bpi na need mo pang tumawag for waiving their annual fees na nakakaasar kasi nga may existing acct sa kanila
Salamat sa vlog mo may natutunan ako sayu kung paano ma wave ang annual fee. Wave na ngauon ang annual fee ng BDO ko. Sana mag labas ka pa ng video mo about credit card.
Nakapag marathon ako ng contents mo hehe love it! As a cardholder years akong nagbabayad ng annual fee hehe sayang nga! Subukan ko palang mag apply ng 2nd card with your tips too. Thanks :) Ang ganda ng control ng BPI kasi auto blocked na agad card (temporarily) if may fraud attempt na nadetect ng system nila :) kaso kahit na anong ingat ko na expose parin ung card details from using a payment website :(

I think it's really doble ingat sa website make sure you don't use public computers and then if ever may PayPal mag PayPal checkout kayo. Now lahat sila may one time pin na even BPI, dati walang ganitong feature si BPI so mas safe na now but still need to be vigilant. :)

@@geraldv.4295 No, hindi sila nag dededuct sa monthly mo dapat. But check mo rin yung statement of account mo kasi yung iba raw sa BDO ginagawang monthly fee instead of annual fee. Pwede mo gawin is ask them to make the monthly fee to annual fee then ipapawaive mo siya.
Ung saken po pinadala lng BPI, but d ko sha inactivate agad kasi takot ako mgkautang hahaha. Pero i keep watching vlogs kaya un, bsta good payer ka okay naman. Just pay on time and in full. 😊
Hi there. I am so new to all these credit card thing. And I have a clarification in which I believe any you tuber hasn't clarified this yet for all beginners. So if you purchase a phone that costs 10,000, when are you gonna pay that? When will the bill statement come? Are you gonna pay that in full? Or could pay via installments? I'm intrigued. You pay in full when it comes. Unless the merchant offers installment na 0 percent then monthly yan na installment but if hindi siya installment nung swinipe then you pay in full upon arrival of the credit card statement.
Mas gusto ng mga vanks may existing cc ka na. Si Chinabank ang mas mahigpit kasi di mo sila makikita na tumatambay sa mall as compared to BPI etal. Pagkakaalam ko nagbibigay lang sila sa mga preferred client nila na makabayad ng monthly balance!
Hi I applied for secured Cc in Bpi . I Sabi ko signature then the teller told me mas okey daw ang Bpi platinum rewards... kasi May Ticket installment sila, SIP UP TO 36 MONTHS ZERO INTEREST... .. how about signature.hindi bah sila parehas benifits

May offer saken BPI credit card, 65k limit sa BPI app, and may note sa nabasa ko is no annual fees- its free for life. Paano po kaya ma double check yun if legit sya na no annual fee?, may screen shot ako nung note galing sa BPI app nila.
Nabwesit ako sa bpi kasi naubos load ko sa tawag. Di man lng magcacallback para lang ma provide yung info. Ask ko sana kasi may lumalabas ng credit card link sa online banking ko with customer number at card number na. Pwedi ko kaya kunin na diretso sa bank yung card para mabilis lalo nat pandemic or delivery lng talaga ng option?

Do you think it is a good thing? Given that I am not rich, my savings acct is not that huge, and I am just a regular employee. Its ok! No thing wrong with them giving you a premium card, actually you get more benefits nga and perks with a premium card not to mention a bigger credit limit. I'm not rich din but I get premium cards just because of the promos and perks hehe!

If you do not pay on time usually dun nag aaffect yung credit standing mo. Pero if you pay on time no problem na yun. But kung 90% naman na binabayaran mo bakit di mo nalang ipay in full? hehe

best to check yung sa statement mo kung how much yung credit limit mo, so somtimes baka yung available limit mo is less than the credit limit mo kasi baka may binili ka na or may installment ka. Kaya bawas na yung pwede mo gamitin sa credit card mo. :)
Madali nga po ma apprive pg meron kana payroll and bank account sabank ng pinagapplayan mo po ng CC like me sa UB ngapply lng po ako sa omline sa messagener po taoos narout akosa applucatiin form tapos ng fill out lbg ako tmng firm online then ng upload ko yung ITR ko then id taoos natataw apa nga ako akse waoa tlga ako proof if billing under my name si ang nisubmit ko yung electric bill nmen na naka name safatger ko akse dun naman tlga ako nkatira uts mu fam hauz and my oermanent adress tapos after 3 weeks na approve ako then after 5days narecreive ko na yung card ko kaso gusto ko mg apply s arcbc flex vis anila kase di pa ako depositor dun tapos bago oa lng yunh card ko pabo kaya ako maaaaprove dun thotugh ngsubmit ako applocatiin onkine jm not sure kung maapprove ako
BPI: I applied when I was starting to work, Denied. What I did was I opened a separate bank account aside from my payroll, deposited 6 digits, then they gave me a CC, Pre-approved. BDO: They sent it to me, never applied for it. AMEX: BDO just sent it to me when I was getting my bank records for a US Visa.
Next time, do a blogging on SECURED Credit Cards. Do you know that you can apply for a credit card by just opening a savings account or time deposit as your hold out collateral amount for credit card application? Are you aware that Philippine Banks also offer SECURED Credit Cards for first timers, working students and freelancers who have unstable income or no credit history? Last year, I stumbled on this video of yours. I was just casually watching credit card related vids kasi I have plans on applying. But di pa ako sure and anxious ako sa idea na baka madeny ako that time. And just a while ago, I just saw a notif from BPI na qualified ako. Super bilis and I even grabbed the ecredit card version. Agree. I do believe din po malaki factor ni BPI, I also started with them as a supplementary when I was a teen. They applied to BDO, and now I'm using these two as a reference for my applications. 💕

i got my 1st CC when i was 21, fresh grad tpos 1st job ko rn, actually si BPI tumawag skn to offer CC since my existing debit card ako knila, na actually kakakuha ko lng dn nung time na un, wla nmn kahirap hirap sa CC since sila nga nag offer, fill out lng then I'll show ung debit card .. ang pinahirapan ako actually ni BPI ayy dun sa pag open ng savings account, un nga ung debit card ko, since fresh grad, nakiusap ako na bka pwd na kung anung ID lng meron ako , luckily ang bait nung teller lalo nung sinabi ko how much ung ipapasok ko , 1st 2months sahod hehe .. 27 na ako naun , loyal prn sa BPi haha

BDO ever since nag start ako nag work. Payroll and I have savings account with them but never ako na offeran nila ng cc hahahaha but with BPI may account lang ako sa kanila kasi need mag open for my auto debit sa house, ayun inofferan ako ng CC and already enjoying it. Regret ko is why was I so scared before pero very okay sya as long as you're responsible talaga.

Agree, for BDO and BPI. BDO sent me an Amex card without applying for it, and BPI also offer me credit card. I just received an email and text saying, I'm qualified for BPI Credit Card. Also take note both of them are I have both accounts.

Agree with BPI and how it helps your status with other banks. I had CC issues in the past, I blame it on my immaturity and age. :( Anyway, mejo nkaluwag luwag at ngkalaman si BPI savings ko, then they offered me a CC na rin. Auto-approved din ako sa Home Credit nung ngtry ako, even before getting the BPI CC. So I can attest to your statement about BPI being a great tool in gaining a good credit score/standing.

In my experience, super dali, meron na akong 5yrs savings account sa bpi that time tapos meron lang tumawag sakin from bpi encouraging me to apply for cc then, ayun tinanong na ko ng mga details tumanggi pa nga ako pero mapilit yun agent kasi sayang daw.. then ayun pumayag ako.. after a week pinadala sa office ko noon yun bpi credit card Gold pa. Feeling ko nakikita talaga nila yun progress ng bank acct mo kung maganda ang pag savings mo.

recently approved on BPI. i applied for Amore Cashback and it was ignored. i tried Gold Mastercard, and it was approved this week. now, i'm also applying for BDO Gold Visa. i'm hoping it gets approved kasi i missed their call last time kaya nacancel. maybe one of the reasons why na-approve because i'm watching your vlogs haha. sa future vlogs mo, sabihin mo may viewer ka na na-approve kasi nanood ng vlog mo. salamat and more vlogs in the future!

Omg this is timely! May nagcall kasi sa akin na from BPI offering me a CC, but I declined kasi natatakot ako magbigay ng info sa call. Then after an hour, nagnotif sa BPI app ko, eligible ako for CC. Edi nag-apply na ako. BPI Blue Mastercard. Then after 2days, nareceive ko na ang card. Happy! Actually today ko nareceive. Once ba naactivate si card, I can use it na agad?

Geez I think I'm one of those lucky guys na inofferan ni BPI ng CC proactively without any requirements at all, as in zero paperwork! Tinanong lang nila if interested ako sa CC and I said yes in a heartbeat! (Palay na ang lumapit e.) Not to mention that they gave me a good credit limit to start with which is sobrang thankful ko because I have the spend allowance if I need to. 😁 This was my first ever CC and I never had any connection with my branch of account. Natripan lang talaga ata ni BPI hahaha

Q&A lng po i just applied BPI credit card Recently
Do they need to hold my money in my deposit account? Just for applying a credit card? Un kasi ung nangyare then said they need to hold for 1 Year. 100k din kasi un
If its a secured credit card, then may holdout amount yan pero if its a regular credit card dapat walang holdout amount yan.
Ang card na maganda telationship ko is RCBC. DONT have any acct with them but they gave me a premium one bec of my existing bpi card during that time. Since 2018 pa card ko but never have to pay the annual fees. Mabait sila sa akin! Di gaya ni bdo at bpi na need mo pang tumawag for waiving their annual fees na nakakaasar kasi nga may existing acct sa kanila
Salamat sa vlog mo may natutunan ako sayu kung paano ma wave ang annual fee. Wave na ngauon ang annual fee ng BDO ko. Sana mag labas ka pa ng video mo about credit card.

Ang ganda ng control ng BPI kasi auto blocked na agad card (temporarily) if may fraud attempt na nadetect ng system nila :) kaso kahit na anong ingat ko na expose parin ung card details from using a payment website :(

Actually, Thank goodness wala pa naman ako experience. I think it's really doble ingat sa website make sure you don't use public computers and then if ever may PayPal mag PayPal checkout kayo.
Now lahat sila may one time pin na even BPI, dati walang ganitong feature si BPI so mas safe na now but still need to be vigilant. :)

I have BPI Blue, it was offered by my bank branch. But since I’m back to our provincial town due to COVID, I can’t maximise my cc.
Try to keep lang kung kaya pakiusapan sila if ever may annual fee.

Hi there. I am so new to all these credit card thing. And I have a clarification in which I believe any you tuber hasn't clarified this yet for all beginners. So if you purchase a phone that costs 10,000, when are you gonna pay that? When will the bill statement come? Are you gonna pay that in full? Or could pay via installments? I'm intrigued. Just wanted to make clarifications prior I apply. Thanks!
You pay in full when it comes. Unless the merchant offers installment na 0 percent then monthly yan na installment but if hindi siya installment nung swinipe then you pay in full upon arrival of the credit card statement.

May offer saken BPI credit card, 65k limit sa BPI app, and may note sa nabasa ko is no annual fees- its free for life. Paano po kaya ma double check yun if legit sya na no annual fee?, may screen shot ako nung note galing sa BPI app nila.
So usually they send text or email. Pero you can call them to confirm also. :)

I have been recently granted my first ever credit card by BDO, unexpectedly the card they have given to me is an elite type of credit card.
Do you think it is a good thing? Given that I am not rich, my savings acct is not that huge, and I am just a regular employee.
(on a side note the cars that I expected to receive is just the basic or standard one.)

Its ok! No thing wrong with them giving you a premium card, actually you get more benefits nga and perks with a premium card not to mention a bigger credit limit.

If you do not pay on time usually dun nag aaffect yung credit standing mo. Pero if you pay on time no problem na yun. But kung 90% naman na binabayaran mo bakit di mo nalang ipay in full? hehe

Sa BPI 35500 ung pag apply ng CREDIT CARD pero 31k lng ung magagamit san po mapupunta ung 4500?
best to check yung sa statement mo kung how much yung credit limit mo, so somtimes baka yung available limit mo is less than the credit limit mo kasi baka may binili ka na or may installment ka. Kaya bawas na yung pwede mo gamitin sa credit card mo. :)
Madali nga po ma apprive pg meron kana payroll and bank account sabank ng pinagapplayan mo po ng CC like me sa UB ngapply lng po ako sa omline sa messagener po taoos narout akosa applucatiin form tapos ng fill out lbg ako tmng firm online then ng upload ko yung ITR ko then id taoos natataw apa nga ako akse waoa tlga ako proof if billing under my name si ang nisubmit ko yung electric bill nmen na naka name safatger ko akse dun naman tlga ako nkatira uts mu fam hauz and my oermanent adress tapos after 3 weeks na approve ako then after 5days narecreive ko na yung card ko kaso gusto ko mg apply s arcbc flex vis anila kase di pa ako depositor dun tapos bago oa lng yunh card ko pabo kaya ako maaaaprove dun thotugh ngsubmit ako applocatiin onkine jm not sure kung maapprove ako

BPI: I applied when I was starting to work, Denied. What I did was I opened a separate bank account aside from my payroll, deposited 6 digits, then they gave me a CC, Pre-approved.
BDO: They sent it to me, never applied for it.
AMEX: BDO just sent it to me when I was getting my bank records for a US Visa.
