I am so happy to see you both reacting to this original Disney masterpiece. I'm writing two months after this video was made and the remake debuted on Disney Plus and the remake simply shows how far superior the original is in every way; especially emotionally. I'm an illustrator and a recent viewing of this animated classic had me in utter awe at how excellent this movie is.

Fun fact: A lot of the donkeys would die from exhaustion from the mines, farms and circuses.
And also the donkeys who can still talk - if they don’t talk sooner the coachman and the demons couldn’t take them home cause they’re witnesses, instead his demons kill the talking donkeys 😭😭😭
Another thing in the book Pinocchio finds lampwick as a donkey working for a farmer but then dies from exhaustion 😪

fun fact: Gideon the cat was supposed to speak but Walt Disney decided the cat would be funnier if he was mute but his voice actor mel Blanc did provide Gideon's hiccups in the red lobster inn. Mel Blanc is well known for voicing characters in the Looney Tunes cartoons and for almost voicing Dopey the dwarf in Snow White before that character became mute too. another fun fact: there was going to be a scene after Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket escape pleasure island and run into the fox and cat a third time. when the duo pursues Pinocchio, they run into the police instead and are finally arrested.

Blind after having faked it before. They beg for assistance from Pinocchio, but he refused to be tricked a third time.

Many of Disney's movies are based on medieval fairy tales which have no "official version but instead evolve into a bunch of different variations. In this case, it was based on single story (in Italy in 1883): "The Adventures of Pinocchio" which is much darker than this movie.
For one thing, Pinocchio is drawn as an adult (but apparently with childish understandings). There is a cricket who is not named but Pinocchio squashes him early on. The cricket comes back as a ghost to advise Pinocchio. (Creepy!)

    • @ashira7110
      @ashira7110 Рік тому +2

Uhh i don’t think he was meant to be a adult in the drawing, it was the 1880s back then and he was meant to be a puppet. When he became a real boy he was pretty tall though, but i’m sure that was because he grew throughout the story since he was human then.

I watched this movie as a little girl but I think I'm one of the rare kids who wasn't afraid of the movie, even if the only thing who scared me (and still scare me now) was the Coachman's smile.
If you watched " Shrek " or know the movie, there's a theory saying that Donkey talks because he was one of these boys who turned into donkeys.
In France, Jiminy Cricket was voiced by Roger Carel, a man considered as the boss of the french voice acting for Disney and even outside Disney (he was the french equivalent of Mel Blanc).
I didn't go to see the live action because Roger Carel passed away in 2020 and I didn't want to hear another voice than his for voicing Jiminy.
If you didn't know, there's a movie called " Pinocchio the robot " who is about the story of Pinocchio but in the future

@@kiereactions4666 you'll be surprised to know all the characters Roger Carel voiced in Disney.
For the moment, you saw only two movies where he voiced a character in the french version : " The black cauldron " where he's Gurky and of course, " Pinocchio ". I'll tell you if you watch another Disney where he voiced someone.
But I can tell you that outside Disney he was the french voice of Kermit the frog from " The Muppets ", the robot C-3PO in Star Wars, and even Alf

Since you liked both of the Disney movies I suggest you check out the movie 'The Adventures of Pinocchio' released in 1996. It didn't do well but I remember enjoying it and it's slightly more book accurate.

We watched it already before this channel existed. It was actually the first pinocchio movie we seen as a kid and loved how it contained the elements from its original story. Johnathan Taylor Thomas was amazing as Pinocchio and Martin landau was great as Geppetto! Tbh, we can't tell which donkey transformation was the scariest. The 1996 version or the Disney version. The 1996 version that showed the donkey transformation always scared me as a kid with the strobe lights during the rollar coaster scene gives it dramatic effect. At least the donkeys turn back into boys at the end, unlike the Disney version. However, we thought the movie was very good, despite the fact it didn't do well, it was a great adaptation in our opinion. Also love how Lorenzini was the main antagonist throughout the main movie instead of having three separate antagonists like in the original story, a pretty interesting concept and great actor portrayal by Udo Kier! The sequel to the movie was a swing and a miss for us but the original film was phenomenally done well!
