Not gonna lie I was worrying that not much people react to this remake
So glad I'm not the only one who liked this live-action remake!!!!!
I like this it’s like actually make as well, so you’re not alone
Finally! More people who actually liked the film!
I agree I liked the film a lot and honestly it became one of my favorite live action remakes of Disney
Luke Evans, who played the Coachman, also played Gaston in Beauty & The Beast from 2017
We know. We also liked his performance as the coachman in the live action Pinocchio! 😁
@@kiereactions4666 Ok. I just didn't hear you mention "Luke Evans" or "Gaston"
It's cool. Loved Luke Evan's performance in the movie! 😄
I think Tom Hanks was a PERFECT casting choice for Gepetto . I wouldn’t’ e casted this entire cast any other way!
Tom Hanks was the ABSOLUTE choice for Geppetto and really suits him well!
@@kiereactions4666 I strongly agree with you!
I like how they made honest John and Gideon design and animated very well
Same! 😄
@@kiereactions4666 honest John and Gideon has to be my favourite Disney characters
The ending is seemingly to be up to interpretation. Like, It can be that he stays as a puppet, with the last few seconds of him seemingly transforming just being metaphorical.
I kinda prefer that he is still a puppet
I see it as metaphorical, he isn’t actually becoming real, but his belief that he is validated by Gipetto is enough to make him feel real.
I love how pleasure island is a middle finger to everything parents tell their kids NOT to do
(Underage drinking, shoplifting, eating to much candy and junk food, playing with fireworks, being rude and destroying stuff)
But they forgot the tobacco row from the original
Finally I'm so glad you liked this movie and my Mom love this movie too!
But ignore bad reviews!😎👍
Love this movie too! 😎👍
In spite of the bad reviews I feel like this has the potential to become a Cult Classic family film similar to the live action remake of 101 Dalmatians from 1996 or Casper from 1995.
I prefer the original 1940.
Sadly voice of Pinocchio passed away recently.
Here is the list of the original voice actors:
1) Pinocchio / Alexander (Dickie Jones) 1927 - 2014
2) Gideon’s hiccups (Mel Blanc) 1908 - 1989
3) Geppetto (Christian Rub) 1886 - 1956
4) Honest John (Walter Catlett) 1889 - 1960
5) Jiminy Cricket (Cliff Edwards) 1895 - 1971
6) Marionettes (Patricia Page) ?
7) The Blue Fairy (Evelyn Venable) 1913 - 1993
8) Lampwick (Frankie Darro) 1917 - 1976
9) Stromboli / The Coachman (Charles Judels) 1882 - 1969
10) Monstro’s growls (Thurl Ravenscroft) 1914 - 2005
11) Pleasure Island Barker #1 (Stuart Buchanan) 1894 - 1974
12) Bird’s cheeps (Marion Darlington) 1910 - 1991
13) Pleasure Island Barker #2 (John McLeish) 1916 - 1968
14) Pleasure Island Barker #3 (Don Brodie) 1904 - 2001
15) Figaro’s meows / Cleo’s cough / The Rough House Statue / Donkeys #1 (Clarence Nash) 1904 - 1985
16) The Boys / Children (Virginia Davis) 1918 - 2009
17) Donkeys #2 (Billy Bletcher) 1894 - 1979
18) Donkeys #3 (Dal McKennon) 1919 - 2009
19) Donkeys #4 (Jack Mercer) 1910 - 1984
20) Wooden Russian Soldiers Puppets (Walt Disney (himself)) 1901 - 1966
The voice of Pinocchio passed away in 2014?! Dang. May he rest in peace. He was fantastic as Pinocchio in 1940. 🙏 It's a shame how many great legends/great people we've been losing as of late.
I’ve watched this movie multiple times
Great version of the original
It sure is! 😄
I too found this an charming new rendition!

As the 100th commentor and a huge Pinocchio conossieur... I love everyone in the comments: sure it's not perfect this movie and can't top the original in visuals (I'll also admit, one of its weak point its the overuse of CGI, considering Disney's last Pinocchio remake, Geppetto, won many prices for the makeup on Pinocchio and so did the previous live action adaptation of the story). YET, it HAS a reason of existing, it's NOT souless, it DOES have something new and adds stuff the original didn't have time for (like the pleasure island chase and the ending) AND... it has a Pinocchio actually doing what he's been told to prove himself: being brave, truthful and unselfish.
It's not a perfect movie, but it's not bad like peoples are saying.
So true!!!
The Coachman is still out there.
Indeed. It shocked us that he let Pinocchio go like that after jumping off the cliff to escape Pleasure Island because if he went into town with the wooden donkey ears and tail, the villagers would be concerned and he wouldn't want the word to spread out. But he still got away with it anyway. It would've been better if the coachman had his comeuppance in the film. Overall, the remake is still good! 😁
@@kiereactions4666 I have a feeling that The Coachman is not a human. No normal humans can do that evil things like The Coachman did.
@@Derek1955 True! Like the animated version!
I prefer this ending than in the animated movie.
I like to think that Geppeto really died and than they "follow the light". It kinda implies that they're going to heaven.
The light is actually from the blue fairy
You guys should react to the new Guillermo Del Toro’s Pinocchio it almost made me cry it’s a lot darker than the Disney one like the book
Will do. Been trying to react to it for a while but school got in the way. We will definitely react to it! 😄
I love this versión

It's ashamed that Jiminy wasn't noticed in the cartoon movie.
But in this movie they really noticed him like Honest John.
Pinocchio had his time to introduce his father to Jiminy cricket and Figaro noticed him too with big eyes I saw.
By the way Jiminy looks good.
Indeed he does. It is a shame Jiminy wasn't that noticeable in the animated version, where he was only noticed by Gideon, Lampwick, and Pinocchio. We love how Jiminy was more noticeable by Honest John, Geppetto, and Figaro in the live action version!
@@kiereactions4666 Yeah.
I like Jiminy cricket he's cute smart and kind.
He did the best he could being the conscience for Pinocchio.
He may had to be careful in the live action movie.
Also it's funny when Jiminy said open sesame lol when he had to get in Monstro.
Jiminy was a great conscience for Pinocchio. Also the part where he was saying open sesame and monstro opening his mouth… LMAO 🤣
@@kiereactions4666 Yeah lol
Silly cricket. Jiminy cricket is one of the best characters. He knows what's right and wrong and saves Pinocchio too.
Jiminy's really smart and good looking and it is nice to meet new friends like Sofia and Sabina.
The new characters in the movie were amazing 🤩. And jiminy was fantastic in this live action adaptation!

Would you like to collaborate?
Sounds cool! Where could I reach out to you to work out a schedule?
Personally, I thought this movie was . . . PRETTY BAD.
I'm much more excited for Guillermo del Toro's *Pinocchio* coming in December
We all have our opinions. Definitely excited for the del toro Pinocchio though!
We do find it crazy that 2 Pinocchio films came out the same year! 😂
@@kiereactions4666 I'm very glad you were able to enjoy it!!! These were my reasons for not liking it:
- Poor Acting
- Most of the CGI was ugly
- Pacing was way too fast
- It was a shameless scene-to-scene replica of the original with barely any fresh differences.
- A bunch of cringy moments, especially at the end (it looks like Geoetto is dead, everyone's looking sad, Pinocchio begins to shed some tears and what happens next - surprise surprise - the teardrop wakes Gepetto up) like, it's just so f***ing cheesy.
- I won't give them too much crap for this one, censorship has become so incredibly and annoyingly stubborn, with them removing the smoking and beer-drinking from the pleasure island sequence.
I will share some positives I had with the movie. I thought Fabiana and Sabina were really interesting additions and I wish they had bigger roles, it would help to make the story a little different.
The cuckoo clocks being Disney themed was actually a fun little addition.
I did really like the design of pleasure island, and the scene of the demons locking up the donkeys was actually pretty intimidating, probably the only CGI in the movie that didn't suck.
I'm pretty sure they stole the idea of Gepetto having a dead son from del Toro's adaptation, but they still barely gave it any focus.
The characters who I think were done decently well were Gepetto, Pinocchio & Lampwick.
Sidenote: Even though Keegan Michael Key's voice acting as the fox was pretty bad, I did enjoy his singing
To be honest, you're right about the pacing being too fast in the movie. If they added additional scenes and seamless transitions during the movie like they did for the Disney logo in this film, the movie would be more effective. Really enjoyed Keegan Michael Key's voice acting as Honest John and his singing was top notch! The shadow demons on Pleasure Island was pretty scary and was intimidating. Fabiana and Sabina were intresting throughout the film. Imo, feel like it was a coincidence about both pinocchio films including a dead son which leads to Gepetto creating Pinocchio. But overall, we really enjoyed this film! Also can't wait for Guillermo Del Toro Pinocchio film!
Our reaction to Guillermo Del Toro's Pinocchio premieres tonight at 6PM!!! 😄
