Hands down the most durable small speaker on the market. I have two XB 10 and a XB 12. My first xb 10 is about 6 years old.....and I'm very rough on them. They're beat up really bad but still work great
Sony chops other brands like UE boom and JBL due to the fact that Sony speakers go down to a range of 20hz to give a more depth like sound with DSP processing to maintain quality, Rather the JBL and UE speakers cut off frequency at 50hz to produce louder volumes at the expense of a more real like depthier sound.

I didn't realize how tinny and awful the sound output on the original Echo was until we replaced it with the Studio. It was a sonic upgrade far beyond what I was expecting. Just wow. I love it because it's like having speakers IN the shower. My friend likes it because the music is so loud that she can no longer hear me singing. So that's a win-win.
Using 2 xb10 for teaching in large classroom for a few years, really love them. Just order 2 xb13 to replace the old one. Give the old xb10 to my sister and they love it. The nfc touch to connect is very useful.

I work at the Great Canadian Superstore. I started working in the Frozen Department on January 4, 2022. I bought this one. Unfortunately on Thursday July 14, 2022 it stopped working. It made a rattling sound before it blew. It only lasted 6 months. I work a 8 hour shift 40 hours a week but only used it 3 hours a day towards the end of my shift.when it was working it sounded great and clear. I was very happy with it. I loved the size i hooked it up to my pants. Buckle area. All I have to say is on to the next. I was very sad when it stopped working.
And missing the aux in of srsxb12 model... If anyone have srsxb12 and connect it with a cable to a pc or laptop it will hear a totally different sound than Bluetooth, absolutely way much better and louder... Srsxb13 missing aux in, it just kills the usability of the speaker and limits its true power and value.

I just bought one off Amazon. The reason I bought one is because I wanted something to have at work. I needed something that was compact and could be hidden basically in plain sight. Plus, the battery life is perfect, seeing I work 10 hrs a day. On top of that....THE SHIT JUST LOOKS KOOL AS FUCK. Can be used when just chill'n. Was tired of buying cheap speakers that didn't last. The price is reasonable, and if you sat it on anything that absorbs vibration, that bass pops.If you want it a little louder, add a Volume Booster to the mix.....IT HELPS. 🖤✊🏾
No 3.5mm jack cable connection? So can it be used as a non-BlueTooth speaker via the computer's USB socket? On previous model, when you put 2 speakers, volume worked individually, so if you push the volume on 1 speaker the volume went up or down on just this single one, what it make the connection useless. How it does on this model.?

One thing you fail to mention is that the XB13 has terrible static! Thank God I went to the shop instead of ordering online based on this comparison. I didn't try the JBL, but the XB13 had so much static noise at low volume that I've rarely experienced even in Chinese speakers. In the end I got an XB23 which has 0 static.
@@jdemecdemac7115 I tried 3 different speakers in the shop, all were the same. The static is a faint shhh..., like a boiling pressure cooker, that your can hear only at very low volume. Most bluetooth speakers, especially the cheap ones, suffer from this and most people ignore it because it's not irritating like a buzz. I was surprised to hear it at that level in a Sony though. The XB23 on the other hand has absolutely no static. I've never encountered a bluetooth speaker so quiet as the XB23.

I bought them because my Dell laptop speakers have poor sound clarity (you know, where music and speech are muddled together such that when you turn it up to hear speech the music is too loud). Hi. I don't know where to go for trouble shooting issues so if you could direct me I would appreciate that. I love these speakers (2 in stereo while streaming airplane noise for sleeping) but after a while it starts to crackle and pop. They are always plugged in. Tried android phone AND ipad...same issue.
So I just got one and noticed that as I turn it down, the last three clicks to have it muted, it doesn’t hardly play any sound. It just produces a humming white noise. Has anyone else had this problem?

This anti analog port push from companies really needs to end, not everything needs to be wireless only, it can be both wireless and wired like we always had. There's literally no reason to take that feature away from us, even if it doesn't get used that much, since people use most of the time with their phones, you at least used to have the option before... Just wait until Sony also takes away the capability to listen to music through these speakers in newer revisions, while charging. Currently you can keep listening while the speaker is charging...

I haven't tested playing audio from aux while charging though... If it changed for the 11, then that sucks massively, give me a reason to go and collect some 10's, will be able to sync them too, audio quality is pretty good, i also like the kind of bassy sound it has. If the fact is true for the newer speakers you can't use audio while charging, then that means, if for any reason you want to use the speakers for a extended time, or the battery after 8 years has gone bad,l enough, but you liked the sound it had, you can only for unusable short periods, vs if you could use it indefinitely while on power.

The banger on this speaker(i just picked one up yesterday at best buy) is definitley the battery and bass. Absolute smash for your buck.

If you want to hear decent sound of this speaker you should turn the volume over 50%. Could be more louder compared to jbl go3 or clip4 for instance.

It won't make a difference. The quality limiting factor is the available bluetooth codecs, not the bluetooth version

It seems it works synchronized. Also you can switch off both speakers, pushing only one power button.

The sound quality is slightly bit louder and the base too only downside to XR13 is it has no aux input that XR12 Speaker has
