Nice Ivor, going to learn this for my son. Always thought that it would be much more difficult. Thanks for sharing. I have spent a couple of hours going through your songs making a list. What I want to play.
Great lesson as usual. I was about 10 when this was out & love all the oldies. Your singing may be a little suspect but your guitar playing is excellent. Thanks for the video. 👍👍👍
Thanks so much- these are the chords for Petula Clark’s “La nuit n’en finit plus” as well- I like it more than the original lyrics written over this progression. Thanks again!
I broke my left hand and was unable to play for about 3 decades. My son, who turns out to be an awesome bass player, bought me a guitar for Xmas and told me it was about time I started playing again. This tutorial gave me the confidence to do that. Thanks so much. Also, a request, please. Could you show us how to play Far Side of Crazy by Wall of Voodoo?
Hi Martin. I have made a lesson on 'Where Have All The Flowers Gone' for you. It's a generic version as so may artists have covered the song but it is very similar to 'The Searchers' take on it. I had to change the key to 'G' as I couldn't sing it in 'E' which is the 'Searchers' key. Ivor
THANK YOU! You are awesome! I love this song! I loved it when it came out! What model is your Taylor? BTW. I love to hear you sing and stay on key. I sing but not very well( old vocal chords)
I'm watching your video from Japan. Thank you for the great video. My English is not good enough to study, so there were parts that I couldn't hear. I would like to know the guitar chords.
Good lesson, one suggestion, you don't have to play the same figure over and over. If people need to see it again they can rewind, but for those that don't, we are stuck watching you play the same thing many times when we would rather move on Other than that, great!
Hi Dan. Thank you for your feedback. I'm on a loser here either way, those that like figures repeated will argue that those who don't could fast forward. Stay safe and well. Ivor
@@ivorsorefingers me neither , a lot of Kenny Rodgers songs do it too , I just spoof it , hard enough in one key for me and most people don't notice lol
3 years later and I'm here.... thank you for this good sir. NC, USA

I'm watching your video from Japan.
Thank you for the great video.
My English is not good enough to study, so there were parts that I couldn't hear.
I would like to know the guitar chords.
Hi ts ts. Ivor
Easy to understand!
Thank you!
Love and Light from Japan
Can I request it’s raining by the Darts
Sorry to disappoint you but I stopped taking requests sometime ago. Ivor
Great . Can’t see you fretting . Well done.

whispering bob Harris
And of course this was also a massive hit for Smokie
There are many versions. Searchers'original stays alltime favorite. But Tom Petty's is one of the best, too.
I've always hated the key change in this song it's not easy lol
Hi James. You are not alone, changing key at the end of the song was quite common in the 60's and I for one never understood why they did it. Ivor
@@ivorsorefingers me neither , a lot of Kenny Rodgers songs do it too , I just spoof it , hard enough in one key for me and most people don't notice lol
Sounds a bit like I want you by Bob Dylan, least the acoustic version I learned to play
Actually more like We'll take our last walk tonight by sir Douglas quintet
Ivor ... go and buy some drums ...
