    Bro, I’ve been using this stuff on and off have you ever applied the poly gloss by hand like in a sprayer or a hand foamer ?

    Thanks for the video. I have a boss cannon, but I’m curious, what psi and GPM is your electric power washer? I don’t seem to have the same results you have.

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  4 роки тому +1

      Erix7810 I have a Karcher K1700 pressure washer. 1700 PSI and 1.2 GPM. Water quality has a lot to do with foam. Hard water really hurts the foam. I bought an RV water filter from Walmart and it really helped my foam. It just screws onto the garden hose. Also make sure the knob is all the way to the negative side.

    Great review! I love using Poly Gloss when I'm pressed for time. I wonder if anyone else does this trick since I don't see any videos on it... 🤔 With this product in particular since you don't really need a drying aid, try disconnecting the hose from the pressure washer and running free flowing water over the whole vehicle. This takes 95% of the water completely off the panels cutting drying time down to seconds with hardly any surface contact. I actually do this every time I wash any of my vehicles even if I plan on using a drying aid. Its extremely effective with the Poly Gloss.

  • @SWAGURA
    @SWAGURA 5 років тому +2

    Foaming surface wash is honestly one of the best matiance soap on the market atm, barley dont need to agitate it ACTUALLY removes the dirt off the panel, it gets the surface about...95% clean without contact wash. At 50 bucks a gallon it's worth it.

    • @ldtriton
      @ldtriton 5 років тому

      ...and if you wait for a 25% off code day from Autogeek or Autopia you can scoop it up for $37.50. Exceptional deal!

      I have found a product from Superior Detailing named Rage that you can use it as a pre wash just like the Griots surface wash. It is efficient and effective just have to go to your local Orielys and have them order for you. It only costs 30$ a gallon and with a dilution ratio of 4:1 It's perfect in my own world.

    Should have gotten the SunJoe SPX-4000 pressure washer... I got mine 2 weeks ago on sale at Wal-Mart for $120. I feel it would do a lot better than that Karcher since it's selectable PSI and 1.7 gpm

      RCFlyer85 I watched all of Obsessed Garage’s pressure washer series videos. The Karcher K1700 was by far the best as far as pressure and actual GPM other then obviously Kranzle. That is the best kit from Griots, price is excellent for all that they include. We did use their iron remover direct to their cannon, works great to foam the surface. Can do same for engine cleaner. That towel can hold up to 7-pounds or a bit more. Is this the best cannon, no, but it does a great job and quality build. And in the kit price, a smart buy. Disclaimer: I attend Autogeeks Roadshow class last summer in Griots facility and with Mike Phillips teaching and the GG staff. I bought the kit last October.

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  5 років тому

      I agree! It’s not the best cannon but very high quality made. I have heard that’s a good class. I took a class at the Griot’s Manufacturing and distribution facility here in Indianapolis a few years ago with Jeff Brown. It was a very informative class.

    about 3 minutes in as the details got started, were swapping out a 1.1 mm something for some reason that wasn't explained, not sure what or why you were swapping something out, why it's necessary, or if all parts included.

    • @FABAutomotiveDetailing
      @FABAutomotiveDetailing  4 роки тому

      Tom W5VLT Sorry I wasn’t more clear. If you have a low gallons per minute pressure washer you swap the 1.2mm orifice with a 1.1 to get better foam. Most electric pressure washers need the 1.1. It comes with this foam cannon but not all foam cannons come with the orifice.

      Well the original electric Ryobi crapped out just shy of a year so I returned it and got the gas unit. I love the gas pressure washer but it’s to loud for videos and has to much power to wash cars. So I kept the gas for around the house and bought a Karcher k1700 that was recommended by Matt Morman at Obsessed Garage. I really like this Karcher. It’s quiet and has just enough power for washing cars.

    A pressure washer featuring a minimum of 1.8 GPM flow and 1,100 psi or 1,980 CU (Cleaning Units = gpm x psi) is required for the cannon to function as intended. Warning: Check to ensure the tool is compatible with your pressure washer’s operating specifications. Must not exceed the maximum pressure, flow, and temperatur
