I always have the same thing when I go at noon hour, salad and zuppa toscana.
My grandmother's favorite things were the breadsticks, the spaghetti and meatballs, and the SALAD! I was so happy when the dressing became available in grocery stores and I could make an Olive Garden salad for her every night if that's what she wanted. Towards the end of her life I was making sure she ate dinner every night because she had alzeimer's. She had trouble eating but the one thing I could always get her to eat was spaghetti and meatballs with the homemade Olive Garden salad. I like it too.

Even then salad can be so so. I have only been there for birthdays or office parties. Never by choice. Lol!

Between Applebees and Olive Garden it's a race to see which chain can use the most salt. There is enough natural seasoning between the salad ingredients and the dressing that additional salt isn't required.
My sister and I had bad cases of food poisoning at Applebee's. Never again!

I worked for Olive Garden for 19 years
Back in the day, Sizzler steakhouses served a bare-bones salad with the best dressing ever. Their dressing got such a reputation they began selling it separately to go.

i came here bceause i got the italian dressing at the grocery store, and it's literally so good i took a swig from the bottle. If you're reading this, im dead serious, it's legit the best salad dressing i've ever had and i prefer caesar
We have Never gotten romaine in the salad, only iceberg. Tomatoes are mushy.

You're spot on. The type of lettuce is cheapest to buy.
The only fresh, crunchy lettuce in the salad are the hunks of Boston lettuce. Never any romaine, which is more expensive.
Also, they slice the tomato slices so thin, they do get wilted..if you can even find more than a couple tomato slices in the salad..maybe 3 slices if you're lucky

I'm aware that tomatoes make a salad wilt quicker, but they're are expensive to buy.
But the salads are always chilled which make them more appealing and tasty.
They cost the restaurant practically nothing to make.
I can't get past the salt content in all their foods. Between the calories and high salt content, I don't visit the restaurant too often. I'm not a health fanatic, but I do watch my salt content.
Love olive garden, but I would never take advantage of anyones generosity.

I used to really enjoy OG, but the last few times I went it was really disappointing, especially the salad. I just stopped going.
Ditto. My daughter requested Olive Garden for her birthday lunch. Huge disappointment! Several things were really wrong and way off. The bill totalled $75. No biggie but the food itself was mediocre at best. I did ask our server why everything was so bland. She mumbled something about new cooks. I did contact corporate via email. Their response was extremely underwhelming without even a hint of retribution. I have not been back since.

if they check for freshness between meal times thats great as they should, however they woman in the video checking temps in the cooler needs to wrap up that long ponytail swinging hair all over. it still needs to be under a hairnet ponytail or not.

It’s not that fresh, the dressing disguises the lack of freshness. Last few times we went none of the lettuce was even green. Just a mountain of white iceberg lettuce. I have started asking for extra other veggies. So far the servers have been very gracious about it.
First of all they use pre chopped bagged lettuce, and you can taste the chemical that they use to preserve its freshness. If they’d simply rinse the lettuce it would improve the taste greatly. Second every Olive Garden I’ve eaten at the tomatoes are mushy, the onions and olives are tasteless, and the croutons are hard as a rock. No way they make croutons in house. So fresh is a bit of an exaggeration.
That is bs, I used to work at va vbech store , It comes in aplastic bag. Only tomato and toppings may be fresh Dr3sssng comes in @ gallon bottle
If you don't get a side of alfredo sauce for your breadsticks you missing out big time.

Ha! Ha! The Pepperoncini peppers used by the Olive Garden are in fact produced by Mt. Olive. They’re also the same ones used by Papa John’s. Buy a jar and taste them for yourself. 🇺🇸
Olive garden unhealthy house dressing has gmo soy bean oil plus high fructose corn syrup. Great if you want clogged arteries! I make my own.

Didn’t mention anything about the bugs lol, the lettuce comes in big bags and 1 out of every 3 had spiders, and other bugs in them. If you get the salad make sure you check before you eat! Unless you want a little more protein 😂

my son and i went .. the food was late / his was served but mine didnt come and then when it finally arrived my son had eaten and MINE WAS STILL FROZEN IN SPOTS > / COLD !!!!! I returned it and we left !!!!! i have not returned to eat there //...... BEAUMONT TEXAS !

I agree about Olive Garden's salad but it's the worse choice for anyone desiring good quality Italian cuisine.
The branded Olive Garden dressing sold in stores is disgusting, the Aldi Tuscan Garden knockoff is worlds better and tastes exactly like the restaurant

Talking about "tiny" just look at the ridiculously TINY pieces of tomato in your salad. NOTHING like the picture of the salad shown in this video. The salad at the Olive Garden in Kenner, Louisiana consists of a huge bowl of lettuce, TWO very tiny slices of tomato, not enough onions and croutons to find after searching for them and four peppers. Again, I repeat, the actual salad you receive looks NOTHING like the salad this video tries to lead you to believe you will be served.
