    I bet you look back at this the same way I look at pics of my slinging drywall mud four years ago-like, damn, younger, thinner, handsomer, and moves like a Billy goat. Less so these days, but still got it lol

    I am a feller in South Korea. I pay my respects to seeing trees cut down of an enormous size that cannot be seen in South Korea. I respect you. Looking forward to more videos in the future. ^.^(google translation)

    Hello from Scotland
    You make that saw do some tricky trees.
    I take it a big bar 4'-5' is to unwieldy to lug about on the terrain?

    • @BjarneButler
      @BjarneButler  4 роки тому +1

    • @BjarneButler
      @BjarneButler  6 років тому +15

      My dad, uncle and some old timers. The rest I figured out myself. There’s only so much you can be told, the rest is just practice and experience

    • @billhackley3540
      @billhackley3540 6 років тому +9

      tickles me to see what you were taught/learned to stay with a short bar in big wood. been around less experienced cutters that 'need' a 36 or better, some that can't stop beating their chest and wouldn't have less than 36, and a few sharper guys like yourself that learn to make the most of a lighter/shorter kit@@BjarneButler

    Those are some big trees in rough countryside. I bow down to your skills. I've watched about six of these so far.
    (For video editing though, please reduce the volume of the saw --- I had to turn the volume down when the saw was going, and then raise it up in order to hear your voice clearly when you spoke. Hope you don't mind the suggestion.)

      You always cut bottom side out first,and finish on the safe side,got to make cuts line up or Helo wont lift it.I cut Australian/N*Z harwood for years some logs 25tonne for a 009Madill and never went bigger than 36" bar to fell them,and they were not rotten kegs like some of this old growth.

    84 with 60 inch bar, less work and safer cutting..

    • @BjarneButler
      @BjarneButler  5 років тому +4

      Packing such.a big saw with a 60!in bar would actually be more work. With every 8footer there’s a couple dozen smaller 2-4ft trees which makes a saw that big impractical. Try limbing all day with a bar that long. So tell me, how, is it safer? Nobody uses a 60” bar unless there ripping or bucking large blowdown or are amateurs, or falling a 20 footer

    • @BjarneButler
      @BjarneButler  5 років тому +9

      A real job? Ok tell me what a real job is. Then tell me why my job, according to you, is not a real job. Also, there are millions of trees like this one still around. Your opinion is based on incorrect information and emotions. I cut these trees because I’m paid to, there’s demand and it’s legal in the area I work(Canada).
