I bet you look back at this the same way I look at pics of my slinging drywall mud four years ago-like, damn, younger, thinner, handsomer, and moves like a Billy goat. Less so these days, but still got it lol
I am a feller in South Korea. I pay my respects to seeing trees cut down of an enormous size that cannot be seen in South Korea. I respect you. Looking forward to more videos in the future. ^.^(google translation)
I’ve looked all over for a Husky that runs 35,000 RPM. Please where can I get one? Also what chain lube do you use, at those reeves? Stay safe my friend.
tickles me to see what you were taught/learned to stay with a short bar in big wood. been around less experienced cutters that 'need' a 36 or better, some that can't stop beating their chest and wouldn't have less than 36, and a few sharper guys like yourself that learn to make the most of a lighter/shorter kit@@BjarneButler
Those are some big trees in rough countryside. I bow down to your skills. I've watched about six of these so far. (For video editing though, please reduce the volume of the saw --- I had to turn the volume down when the saw was going, and then raise it up in order to hear your voice clearly when you spoke. Hope you don't mind the suggestion.)
@@BjarneButler Leaving all the slash for me to plant around ;) T'is my first time exploring this side of the industry on the tube. Looks cool, but I'll stick to putting em back in! Cheers for making work for me!
I would love a job like this, hard work at a steady pace. These jobs have almost disappeared in the NE USA. Unless you are willing to dangle over a roof to cut trees, chainsaws are hardly used.
You always cut bottom side out first, and finish on the safe side, got to make cuts line up or Helo wont lift it.I cut Australian/N*Z harwood for years some logs 25tonne for a 009Madill and never went bigger than 36" bar to fell them, and they were not rotten kegs like some of this old growth.
Packing such.a big saw with a 60!in bar would actually be more work. With every 8footer there’s a couple dozen smaller 2-4ft trees which makes a saw that big impractical. Try limbing all day with a bar that long. So tell me, how, is it safer? Nobody uses a 60” bar unless there ripping or bucking large blowdown or are amateurs, or falling a 20 footer
why would you even want to cut such a large tree which has lives for thousands of years. hardly any left in the world and you are cutting them? get a real job.
A real job? Ok tell me what a real job is. Then tell me why my job, according to you, is not a real job. Also, there are millions of trees like this one still around. Your opinion is based on incorrect information and emotions. I cut these trees because I’m paid to, there’s demand and it’s legal in the area I work(Canada).
Why don't you shutup and get off your fat ass. You think manual labor is a Mexican. You couldn't hold a candle to this guy!! So tired of you snow flakes that know absolutely nothing about what you're bitching about!! There, I'm done!!

Lol. Love fast motion. Alvin and the Chipmunks 🐿
You have great skills mate, like watching your work - happy logging from kiwi land / New Zealand
Thanks
That was fun to watch at high speed.
Nice, love the sound😎
What the heck you put in your coffee?! Wish our riggin crew moved that fast! ;)
The best falling vids on the web. Well done mate
Thanks
Man the sawdust really flies when you're saw is in bumblebee gear
Dang Bjarne you sure work fast. Nice work buddy.
Thanks
The way you start with both cuts of the under cut is awesome! Makes so much sense for big stuff like that
Yup that’s my go-to method, works great
i think your currently felling the biggest trees on youtube stay safe
I thought you were going to put a hydraulic jack in that big pocket, but then I realized maybe its just so you can reach in further with the saw...
I’ve looked all over for a Husky that runs 35,000 RPM. Please where can I get one? Also what chain lube do you use, at those reeves?
Stay safe my friend.
What are “Reeves”?
So cool love your videos
That's a funny sounding chainsaw lol
If my chainsaws really sounded that way, I could never take my job seriously, I would be laughing all day long!!!, LOL!!!
Funny sounding man.
commitment, and skill
You the man!
It sounds like a Nitro RC car!
Boy you are so good Bryn uk
Thanks man. Just had years of practice and experience 👍
Hello from Scotland
You make that saw do some tricky trees.
I take it a big bar 4'-5' is to unwieldy to lug about on the terrain?
Ya it rare to use a bar longer then 36”
re-watching a few and wondering. who taught you your basic skills?
My dad, uncle and some old timers. The rest I figured out myself. There’s only so much you can be told, the rest is just practice and experience

Got his Viberg boots on, dry weather day. perfectly done. No gloves?
Don’t wear gloves

I do thanks. I admit I have horrible editing skills. I’ll work on improving that
From a plumber in Kansas City, how the hell do you get those out of the woods to the mill?
Helicopter, grapple yarder or excavator with a grapple. The wood in this video was logged by helicopter.
@@BjarneButler I know you're not that crew but show the helicopter please! if you can. Awesome work.

I'm curious as to why they are selecting those size trees? Is it for specialty wood ? Or to open up the stand ?
They’re the most valuable
Nice video.
Man I really enjoy your videos. Do you ever run a 372xp?
Not very often
I’m assuming that your falling specs are for Ralph Spencer at Probyn? Looks like a lot of Native wood you do? I don’t see a lot of WFP video?
Ya some footage was on a Probyn job. A lot of what we cut in that area s native territory now
Which pants are these Bjarne? Awesome video
I think they’re from Big K
So when you say you're bucking an 6-3, what is that determining........a calculated weight for the heli, length, board feet?
That’s 6.3 meters in length
Usually it’s because of 😂weight limit that those particular Helo’s have.
I would love a job like this, hard work at a steady pace. These jobs have almost disappeared in the NE USA. Unless you are willing to dangle over a roof to cut trees, chainsaws are hardly used.
What is that ? A 395xp? Great videos my friend.
Thanks. It’s a 390
bjarne butler Ported by walker maybe ? Sounds awesome 😎
How old would that tree be roughly ?
600-800 guess
How long have you been felling trees?
16yrs
What's the purpose of cutting the old trees
I think they are targeted because they have more monetary value.
I think it’s because after a while they start to rot out and fall over anyway.
Good video . I would rather watch a longer video at regular speed you don't have to speed it up .just a suggestion mind you .
Sure I’ll make a couple long ones next time I get a nice big one
Agreed
Just change the speed and watch at .25x speed
Don’t like the speed up mode
Ya that was an old video.
Much of a Man!
So that's why my dentist drilled my filling today with a chainsaw...
oowee you spend an awful lot of time on the downhill side of these monsters, no thanks to that for me
lot of stuff in video dangerous...short bar stupid...looks like brushed up his strip..bullbucks i know send him packing...

84 with 60 inch bar, less work and safer cutting..

60" bar with twin 090s maybe. LOL

I'd say the job this man is doing is about as real as it gets.
@@BjarneButlerGood for you for putting THAT dude in his place? 👍 to you Bjarne! 👍
What kind of axe is that?
Just a common axe from the saw shop that I modified
