bakerXderek love the spanish intro on some of the videos I play it over and over again, always disconnect my headphones when I play it and the wife always says is it that guy again lol. big fan keep it up.
I got one because I have seen a video on UA-cam, with 2 young men riding around on groms. they seemed like they where having the time of there life on it. all I did in my life was go to school, work, play video games, and sleep.I was cutting my family and friends also just people in general out of my life. I didn't go anywhere or do anything at all. but when I got my grom it completely reliberated me. it was something I really needed in my life, and I'm glad I did it. I didn't get one for other people, or because of other people, I got it for me, and for my own personal interest, and investment.
In my area there are barely any used ones for sale, found only two but they're asking waaaaay too much for them 3000-3500.... But I've found a dealer, they have a few in stock, black or yellow only, but they're brand new for only 3400... I'm getting two of them Lol, one for me and one for my gf, and we're gonna have some fuuuuunnnn Lmfao... I can't wait I love the Grom!!
NicheRiding i just scored a 2015 with 1k miles on it and has a full system S1R Two Bros race exhaust and Pro Taper bars and integrated turn sigs and shorty levers and custom painted a gorgeous white and had all the grom logo'ing removed and he even threw in his helmet and gloves (not great ones) but it was also for my sister and sister in law to learn how to ride so for 2700 I call it a steal
Recently bought the 2018 Honda Grom for my first bike. Was really nervous about buying my first bike and was told a lot of good things about groms. I never took the Msf course yet but managed to teach myself the basics of riding through UA-cam. I don’t get the best opinions for buying a Grom but I honesty have to say it’s a great starter bike. Love the vids NicheRiding!
100% agree. I get into a Grom buy/sell group on FB and I see so many for sell, some with less than 100 miles(even spotted a few with 5-10 miles) most of them in Florida stretching to New Jersey. Some also trying to sell them for more than the retail price, with or without mods.
ridiculous isn't it! Do you go buy a car and expect to get the exact same amount you just paid for it a month earlier? LOL No, those dealers won't give you jack once it's used!
Very fun bike. Used for a couple of months to learn how to ride. And even decent for commuting but not great for the highway maxing out at 60 revved up. Wanted a primary bike for commuting and some highway weekend cruising. So sold the grom for 3k in perfect shape. Had a great deal OTD for 3600. Totally worth learning to ride on this very friendly bike. Never rode in groups but can see how that would be cool.
I see a lot of people getting pissed that they're not getting asking price of $2,800 for a used one with 1000+ miles but then you can pickup a 2017 for the same OTD new with only a few miles on it. The gas mileage is also amazing.
They are nuts, you don't buy a new car and flip it 3 months later for the same price you bought it for.....lol They clearly have never bought and sold vehicles before.
Almost at 3000 km and still going strong! I just love it because it's easy to work on - i did my own oil change installed bars fender elim and recently adjusted the chain on. I know it's not a big deal but as a first time rider i wanted something non intimidating. Now whenever I'm at Honda and check out other bikes I am quite happy with the Grom - I just don't like the size of mid size and higher bikes. at 145 lbs im a weaking but this thing is like a bicycle lol.
Next bike you should get should be something with 500 to 600 cc so you have a big sport bike and a toy grom:) That way you do get the power when you need it and the toy whenever you don't.
yeah i dont understand that either but i was able to pick up a 2018 z125 krt fully stunted out for $2,300 lol i have a 2016 s1000rr and the z is more fun to ride... well at least around town the bmw is fun out in the country on some twisty roads but if i have to ride 5 miles to work im taking the z over the bmw. but if im going to actually ride for a few hours im taking the s1k unless we get a little bike ride together
Still love mine but could do with a little more bhp, or might change sprockets, it’s suicide joining a 50 road trying to get up to speed and merge onto the road. Great commuter for me and so cheap here in the U.K. also get some attention which I don’t mind. One of the reasons I got it, something different but cool!
Absolutely agree! I bought the 2017 Grom because I wanted it for myself, not because of some fad. I truly love riding it even if it’s just by myself. I’m never going to get rid of it!
I picked up my 2018 with 480 miles for $2600 just a few weeks ago, Private Party. I currently have a Daytona Anima 190cc Engine with a Daytona 212cc Big Bore Kit from my Pitbike that I would love to put onto it. I live in Vegas, and the only "Fab" with them is.....they are being used for Rental Bikes. $80 for 4 hours with them.
Yea. Because it’s more of a novelty, doesn’t go fast enough to take many places and you graduate quickly. I use it more than my big bike in and around my house but don’t like taking it on the main roads
I bought a Kymco Spade for $3600 out the door and paid cash. My only reason for getting it was to save money on fuel. All I have to do is drive it to work 4 days a month and that pays back the insurance on the bike, and then another 10 days of work commuting covers the fuel i would have put into my car. Any other riding I do where I would have driven the car instead is a cost savings.
Good thing is I started looking at these long before I found the vloggers. Now I just wait for a financial opportunity or a good used buy. Put some dual sport tires on it and tool around EVERYWHERE. Good topic!
Yah a bunch of guys do that with the maxxis tires! Join that facebook group I mentioned in the video and keep an eye out for used groms or join the local or state grom page and post up there what you're willing to pay.
Have the same two bros on my z125. Sounds awesome I have the baffle out. My bike goes everywhere its not a fad to me would like a bigger bike in my stable but not at the cost of selling the z125
I bought a used Grom. 2015 for $2000 and had 1200 miles on it . Like new. Will never get rid of this. So much fun. The best bike ever. I have had over 250 motorcycle in my 50 years of riding. This one is the most fun of all of them. A Keeper
well, ...i bought mine for the fun, not practicality so he will never leave me lol. i have the yellow like yours too. bought it in april and now have 1400 miles on him. i named him tron after the transformers lol, i think thats what the new ones look like :-)
I have had over 10 sportbikes and a cruiser and my GROM Has been my favorite bike. Buy a big bike if you want speed. I have both but ride my Grom way more. And I have the super 125 kit going in just for a little more power. But I love love love my grom, wont ever get rid of it.
Got my 2017 Honda Grom used with 380 miles for 3400 my Grom 700 bucks down and 150 bucks a month payment for 2 years but I love the Grom I got it for my wife to learn on and once she gets her endorsement I'm looking to get a 2nd one for myself I love the Grom
I purchased the GROM simply to learn how to ride and pass my DMV road test. Amazing bike to learn on. However, now that I have my endorsement, I don’t need it. It’s a 2020 with like 80 miles (mostly parking lot miles). Perhaps if I had a spot to keep it in, I would not sell. But I live in an apartment in major U.S. city. I have to pay to park the bike in a garage. I can only afford to park one bike...😒
Some people I bet just got it for a starter bike and can only own one bike at a time. So they are just selling it to get a more powerful bike. Rather than them buying it for the fun factor like you did. I get where your coming from overall though, especially the people charging more for a few extra parts, so stupid.
I'm honestly tempted to buy a honda Monkey as I feel they will be the new hot ticket! I will keep the grom but get the money as it will definitely help the channel a ton!
I've been saying this same thing what is wrong with people who buys a bike and then sells it in the same year. At that point did you really even want it?
I bought mine cause I thought they were cool and fun little bikes as I test rode one on a flat area. Then I got one and rode it home and it was a pain but I put up with it and actually met a lot of people which I now call friends so I decided to keep the grom and stunt it out cause it’s such a cheap bike even in Australia
do you need your motorcycle license in order to buy a brand new grom? i have my permit but in my area there’s not another license test available for 2-3 months
in order to legally drive it you have to have the motorcycle endorsement. Take the MSF course, they give you the test right there and send the results to the DMV so you just have to walk in and pay for a new copy of your license!
Dang bro all day Anthony I believe he was also talking about the same topic and how you can get the older ones for about $1,500 wish I found one at that price before and there's none in my area and the ones even a hundred plus miles away people are still asking High 2K
It was fun, but not as much fun as my supermoto... Had it about 2.5 years then decided I needed something I could commute on. I would have kept it if I had a bigger garage.
I have to let my grom go someday because it was my first bike and I need to experience the freedom and styles of other bigger size bikes. Unfortunately I can't afford two bikes. Grom insurance is expensive in Canada! $1200/year
jesus, thats weird af, over here most insurance companies wont even insure you if you are under 25 years old here, although if you are 25 and buy a grom without any previous insured years it is like 120 euros a year for just insurance, like 12 bucks more for full coverage if parked, and 560 total for total coverage whatever happens within reason...
I want a Grom but don't have the money to get the bike license so I'm going for the next best thing. A Honda Ruckus just so I can get out onto the road and finally ride!
I was thinking about getting a ruckus myself. I don't think I could quite afford the license right now either. so the Honda ruckus will have to do for now. id definitely sell my car to buy a grom though.
🆘🆘STARTER BIKE!!!!!🆘🆘💹.I HAVE a 2006 636 ninja but i iam thinking bout buying a clome or grome if i can get a deal.I love motorcycles period iam a enthusiast.
I'm looking for a Grom. How come some dealers are selling the Grom's between 2499 - Veys in San Diego and 3500 at Socal Motorsport in Los Angeles? The price difference is huge.
Personally I'm afraid to buy one as I think I'll get tired of it quickly. I already have a 2016 Husqvarna FE501S so it would feel a little bit of a double since my bike will already do what a Grom would and then some. Don't get me wrong, they look fun but i don't want to take a huge financial loss if I do get tired of it.
they are a perfect second bike so if you already have a powerful bike that will fill that speed need then I would highly suggest a grom for the toy bike in your life!
It would be cheaper to buy a used bike like the ninja 250 or 300 to learn on , but most folks I think are intimidated by a sport bike … regardless of engine size . I think the grom is that bike that says , anyone can do this to folks . Come to think of it , I think it would be cheaper to buy just about anything used to learn on . Also I think that most don't want to deal with the hassle of a used bike as their first bike . They buy the grom new , and quickly realize riding is easier than they thought , and subsequently buy a bike that fits them better , or decide it's not for them and flip it to get rid of it .
Maybe people are moving up in size. If this is the case they will regret the decision. Myself I don’t have one, but I will buy the Monkey and keep my Harley.
A lot of these people are buying them to learn and ride and then upgrade to a bigger bike not everyone wants to keep it just learn and sell I own one a 2014 I've had for 3 years and also have my Yamaha fz8 naked bike and I for one will not sell my grom
People sell them because at first the speed isn’t the issue, but after riding a couple hundred miles the slow speed kills the fun. And if you can’t find friends with it they aren’t that fun.
it's a great second bike, for in the city it's perfect and speed doesn't matter going from red light to red light. If you need a commuter for those long rides on the interstate then a bigger bike is recommended. I never need friends to have fun on the grom, I get so many waves and cool bike from random people on the street.
NicheRiding yeah I got my 2018 a couple weeks back. And trust me, I’ve had plenty of fun. But I personally enjoy it so much more riding with other groms. And where I live (Iowa) there aren’t many out there sadly.
Big sexy There’s mods you can do to cure the oil starvation issue, which only becomes an issue to begin with when you do long stand-up wheelies. I’ve had more fun going slow than going fast. Just don’t go in a constant straight-line and they are fun as hell. If you wreck them, they are cheaper than big bikes, maintenance is cheap, there’s a ton of aftermarket parts, insurance is damn near free on them, they are super modular, people love them, you can do anything with them, etc. There are so many more positives with groms than negatives. The grom is not a small bike trying to be a big bike. The grom is there to only put a smile on your face. It’s a bike that doesn’t ask to be taken seriously. It’s like an eager puppy. It just wants to play and make you smile.
Big sexy they only grenade when people put new top ends and pistons - and don’t upgrade fuel and oil circulation. You gotta work hard to fuck up a factory small Honda motor.
Im with you man, i'll forever own mine. Best fun I ever had !
Thank you brother for gracing my channel with your presence! :) I feel honored! haha
bakerXderek Cheaaaa ropes all up in Dem gutts
bakerXderek love the spanish intro on some of the videos I play it over and over again, always disconnect my headphones when I play it and the wife always says is it that guy again lol. big fan keep it up.

Flooding the market is great.. just got a 2015 with 100 miles for 2300 hehe
Excellent find!

Flooded market for the win for my wheelie learning ass lmao.. almost got balance point down already 😎

Great starter bike and great second bike later:) Take the MSF when you get a chance, they teach you some valuable safety lessons.
Couldn't have said it any better!!! Keep it up man!
bought the same color grom as you love it!!

For real, I get more attention on my little Grom than I do my big ZX6R! It's so funny:)
Absolutely agree! I bought the 2017 Grom because I wanted it for myself, not because of some fad. I truly love riding it even if it’s just by myself. I’m never going to get rid of it!
Nice:) It truly is a tiny goofy bike!
I picked up my 2018 with 480 miles for $2600 just a few weeks ago, Private Party.

Is the intro song from Transformers the animated movie?
Where did you get those mirrors?
Have the same two bros on my z125. Sounds awesome I have the baffle out. My bike goes everywhere its not a fad to me would like a bigger bike in my stable but not at the cost of selling the z125
Just save up to buy a second bike it's the best way!
NicheRiding its the only good way lol
I bought a used Grom. 2015 for $2000 and had 1200 miles on it . Like new. Will never get rid of this. So much fun. The best bike ever. I have had over 250 motorcycle in my 50 years of riding. This one is the most fun of all of them. A Keeper
What an excellent find! yah definitely a keeper!
I picked up a clean titled grom with an ohlins, a corbin seat, aftermarket pipe, and chimera intake for 700 dollars
I love my 2018 Grom it's so fun to play around on plus all my friends have one. I would never sell.
Exactly, it's great if you can find a group of locals to ride with!
2018 groms are on sale now from dealers for $2300 brand new the resale market is done for
well, ...i bought mine for the fun, not practicality so he will never leave me lol. i have the yellow like yours too. bought it in april and now have 1400 miles on him. i named him tron after the transformers lol, i think thats what the new ones look like :-)

yah, for the money why get rid of it!! ???
Looking to get one in that same color !
The best color!
Got my 2017 Honda Grom used with 380 miles for 3400 my Grom 700 bucks down and 150 bucks a month payment for 2 years but I love the Grom I got it for my wife to learn on and once she gets her endorsement I'm looking to get a 2nd one for myself I love the Grom
excellent! My wife has never wanted to ride a motorcycle on her own or even ride with me, I could only wish:)
Iceman Johnny here the grom is my 4th bike just rounds off the collection its great for what it is..O..and I love all my bikes equally....no really.😎
:) For real!
I purchased the GROM simply to learn how to ride and pass my DMV road test. Amazing bike to learn on. However, now that I have my endorsement, I don’t need it. I'm honestly tempted to buy a honda Monkey as I feel they will be the new hot ticket! I will keep the grom but get the money as it will definitely help the channel a ton!
Got a 2018 grom with 1080 miles for 2000 dollars here in Colorado. I was like what’s wrong with it. Haha. Solid steal.
exactly!
I've been saying this same thing what is wrong with people who buys a bike and then sells it in the same year. At that point did you really even want it?
No, it's just trying to fit in with the crew is all.
I literally have no one to ride with where I live but I but a grom because of how bad I wanted it. I can't imagine every spending 3-4k just to fit in.
Yea I see 2014 groms on fb market for sell at prices I paid my brand new 2017, some more only cause it has “mods”.
I saw one the other day asking 5k, LOL This ain't no sport bike.....
NicheRiding some people, brah. Some people... lol
I’d sell my R6 before Isell the grom even tho I don’t get to ride it that often. You’re right, why get rid of it if they’re stupid cheap...
very cheap! Work another month or two and pay it off before you buy another bike:)
I bought mine cause I thought they were cool and fun little bikes as I test rode one on a flat area. Then I got one and rode it home and it was a pain but I put up with it and actually met a lot of people which I now call friends so I decided to keep the grom and stunt it out cause it’s such a cheap bike even in Australia
yup, 3k brand new plus all taxes and fees is a good price here for new! The people selling their used ones for 3500 or 5000 are a joke...it's USED!!!
i just sold my r6. gunna by a grom to muck around with around melbourne. $3999 ride away with 12 months reg is good for abit of fun :D
I’ll keep them my newborn can have it when he’s ready lol
Good video bro.
Thank you for the kind words!
do you need your motorcycle license in order to buy a brand new grom? i have my permit but in my area there’s not another license test available for 2-3 months
in order to legally drive it you have to have the motorcycle endorsement. Take the MSF course, they give you the test right there and send the results to the DMV so you just have to walk in and pay for a new copy of your license!
awesome, thanks man i enjoy your videos
Dang bro all day Anthony I believe he was also talking about the same topic and how you can get the older ones for about $1,500 wish I found one at that price before and there's none in my area and the ones even a hundred plus miles away people are still asking High 2K
yah that's about right, no one sells them in the 1k range, they maintain a great resale value.
It was fun, but not as much fun as my supermoto... Had it about 2.5 years then decided I needed something I could commute on. I would have kept it if I had a bigger garage.
sell the house, buy a bigger garage!!!
yeah..Cyclecruza LOOOOOOVES this Yamaha wr250 something..dual sport bike. He never shuts up about it. xD
Sold my 2004 custom sportster for my 2017 Grom ,that’s how much fun it is,will never sell it!!!
Smart move:)
I have to let my grom go someday because it was my first bike and I need to experience the freedom and styles of other bigger size bikes. Unfortunately I can't afford two bikes. Grom insurance is expensive in Canada! $1200/year
Don't we all wish to keep all of our toys.
lol wow, I pay something like 300 for a full year here in Florida with full coverage so if it's stolen or something I will get a new one.
jesus, thats weird af, over here most insurance companies wont even insure you if you are under 25 years old here, although if you are 25 and buy a grom without any previous insured years it is like 120 euros a year for just insurance, like 12 bucks more for full coverage if parked, and 560 total for total coverage whatever happens within reason...
I want a Grom but don't have the money to get the bike license so I'm going for the next best thing. A Honda Ruckus just so I can get out onto the road and finally ride!
a used grom is around 2400 for a good condition early year one. A ruckus isn't cheap.
I was thinking about getting a ruckus myself. I don't think I could quite afford the license right now either. so the Honda ruckus will have to do for now. id definitely sell my car to buy a grom though.
NicheRiding I've seen newer ones going for under 2500
🆘🆘STARTER BIKE!!!!!🆘🆘💹.I HAVE a 2006 636 ninja but i iam thinking bout buying a clome or grome if i can get a deal.I love motorcycles period iam a enthusiast.
Because 1 dollars is 4 reais in brasil and we have a lot of tax
Brand new out the door we spent 3400. 2018 with ZERO miles. Love it already!!
Great price!!!!
NicheRiding yea that's taxes and all. We are happy with that. Not gonna sale it. Too much fun
I just picked up new 0 kms red Grom for 3390.00 All in, 2017 as I wanted the red lol.
I’ll never sell it.
Forgot to mention, that’s Canadian funds.
I love Grom’s!
Great vids!
:)
I'm looking for a Grom. How come some dealers are selling the Grom's between 2499 - Veys in San Diego and 3500 at Socal Motorsport in Los Angeles? The price difference is huge.
bigger cities sometimes demand more as the demand for them is higher. Be willing to drive! I went 45mins away to buy mine.
Many dealers have excessive fees. If you are in SD check out the place in Poway
Had a 2015 and sold it about a year ago. Regretted that decision and went out bought a brand new 2018 last week!
Good, you learned the lesson of your sin and repented just before Easter:)
can i ask the reason why you sold it in the first place?
Needed money to fund a car project. Didn't think I would miss the Grom, but I was wrong.
Do you have a link for your mirrors? Im looking for better looking mirrors
go to amazon and look up Neverlandback mirrors, if not I have a video that shows them up close and has the link in it.
I will never sell mine. I spent a really long time wanting one but understood what i was getting before i bought it.
BestExFriend78 same here it will be a bike i would never sell
yah, I drooled over them for a year or two before finally slapping down the card.
I've found z125s for 2200 new
my grom will go in my living room when im all done with it. (Which will be never). She is too pretty. Shes perfect for little errands around town.
yah, they are cheap bikes, unless you have just too many motorcycles, there is no reason to dump it!
I don't own one , but I think a bunch of people just buy them as a learning bike is all I can guess … I own a 2015 Honda CRF250L . 6_6
cheaper to buy a used ninja 250 or 300!
5000$ lol sad but true! Good video
yup, thank you!
Sorry dude..sold mine. It just wasn't fast enough. Bought a CB300R neo. I love it...and I can go faster than 60 mph.
haha you don't buy a grom to go fast:)
I think it's both a trend *and* an extremely reliable low hp bike
As long as I keep getting 130 mpg, it can be trendy as hell;)
I agree 100% best buy i ever made i would sell my car before my grom
yah, the grom is an excellent means of transportation!
About to buy a 19 model with 56 miles for 2.6k 🤤
3:42 Big boys lol
Maybe people are moving up in size. If this is the case they will regret the decision. Myself I don’t have one, but I will buy the Monkey and keep my Harley.
I love mine ....
:) Good man!
A lot of these people are buying them to learn and ride and then upgrade to a bigger bike not everyone wants to keep it just learn and sell I own one a 2014 I've had for 3 years and also have my Yamaha fz8 naked bike and I for one will not sell my grom
yah I have my big zx6r and then bought the grom, no need to "upgrade."
The mirros are hurting me lol
well please don't "rage" about it, I'd hate for you to be hurt anymore.
No one is reselling in the Puget Sound. Not even their ruckus
lol join more grom groups;)
Best decision I ever made
:) Good to hear!
I never sell my MSX-125Sf,it is a good bike
Yah it is:)
I'm over here trying to sell my 2016 Iron883 just to get a Grom 🤣
lol, just leave yourself a fast bike for those times you want to go fast and keep the grom as the second bike.
I want to get one so badly I can't get one I would never Sell it if I have had it
That's the spirit! Now, turn that into a drive and work all of the extra hours you can and you will have one in no time!
I bought a z125 used 2 times to go to the GYM n that it 😂 wasted of money
meet the crew and go on group rides, half of the fun of the small bikes is being a lunatic on the tiny things!
NicheRiding i had ....not worth it ...i have a video of a duke with 180cc and a grom with 190cc check that up
I will never sale my grom!!!!
If they come with a new model I will buy my second grom instantly!
Enjoy grom life
I sold my 2018 grom about a month ago and I have no idea why I did it lol
sigh
Riding a Grom is like having sex with an ugly person.....it's all fun and games until your friends find out. lol (I'm kidding)
My friends think it's cool:) Find new friends!
They sell it because after they buy it they realize they look stupid on it
haha I get so many comments on it saying they love it.
False. I also get comments all the time on it. I’m a new owner also
Some people look stupid no matter what they ride
Some people look stupid when they sleep.
Dude there slow and if you wheelie a lot the motor starves on oil and they Grenade !!! Let's see the $3500 for a Grom a could buy a older R6 .
You gotta work hard to fuck up a factory small Honda motor.
the z125 is the answer to that... they dont have that oil starvation issue
the grom is a fantastic bike...if your 12 😂
I'm 11 actually!
