That’s exactly how my first visit was.. On a school bus.. Definitely looks the same as it did when it was built in 1947.. Thanks for watching.. Cheers..
Omg. I haven't been there since I was a kid. I'm so glad you did this right before Thanksgiving. Thank you Derek 💖 I hope you had a great Thanksgiving 🦃
This was great. I loved the historian's rant, especially. I never thought of it as American Mythology before. (I don't know, can't get the TG play from the Adams Family Movie out of my head now.) Would still love to visit this some day. My in-laws got to go to a TG dinner "experience" there about 20 years ago.
I had to giggle when I heard "water bubbler" {aww, cute} for the very first time. Lol! That's clearly New England terminology. We call them drinking fountains outside of Massachusetts. haa I was entertained as I just binge watched PEZ tour, James Bond Beach & Plymouth Rock. New fan here in Denver😁
Fabulous, Derek! Yeah I thought for a moment this wasn't an official D-Tour, until (SPOILER Alert) you cracked one from the fridge at the end!! This is something different and a real treat, you da bestest sir!
So freakin happy you did this D Tour!! I come to MA every October, and if I bring friends that have never been, I always bring them to Plymouth Rock to witness their disappointment 😜 Now I have new facts to share on the next trip! 🤓 But it will never top the last trip. A state park “ranger” was there explaining the rock size and the repair mark to the sizable crack in it. At the same time there were some repair guys working on the tiles in the portico covering the rock, and we got a surprise bonus crack viewing. A covert selfie with the rock and the plumber’s crack is now my favorite vacation pic ❤️
Now that’s funny, Dae.. Lol!!!! The rock is definitely underwhelming.. Glad you enjoyed the video.. If you see me out in Salem in October (I figured that’s why you visit MA in Oct) make sure to say hi. Thanks for watching🎃
Thank you for posting this video! I never knew (stupid me) that they actually had a Plimoth Plantation/ Mayflower replica!! Definitely when my family and I come up to Massachusetts for our annual Salem trip, we’re going to stop here! Hope you, your friends and your family had a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!! 🦃🍁🍽🤎
Planning a trip here this summer! Thanks for putting this together...great job! Also, I hope that historian is still working on the Mayflower II when I go! He was great!!
Hi Carol. Thanks for watching. I’m glad you enjoyed my video. And I hope you have a great trip to Plymouth. The historians will for sure be on the Mayflower 2 and all around the Village. You will learn a lot and see some cool stuff. Thanks again for saying hi.
That was VERY REFRESHING to hear the guide on the ship tell the truth. It doesn't take from the history it's self. It is still important but knowing the truth makes it more valuable.
My family has been in Plymouth since 1629, there is some really cool creepy history around here especially sacrifice rock and the house of the three wells specifically. There is so much beyond just a historic society district of downtown Plymouth to experience in this town, if you come to Plymouth again man let’s go for beers, cheers
Will there possibly be a Sturbridge Village D-tour someday? I can never get enough of New England. I also loved how this was perfectly scheduled. Very apropos. 🦃
Yeah. Sturbridge could happen.. I think it closes during the day in December because they have a holiday stroll during the evenings. Heck, maybe it go to that.. Thanks for watching and enjoying the content..
Lol.. There is a bar next to the Mayflower but it was closed so that was my one and only chance that day. Oh well, still got one at home.. Glad you enjoyed the video Jennifer.. Happy Thanksgiving. Cheers!
I agree. If you have the time during a trip to Boston or Salem you gotta sneak a trip to Plymouth in as well. Glad you enjoyed your trip. Thanks for watching my video.
"Native Americans" is the politically correct term it refers to the people who were here before the first Europeans ever arrived. I am "Native American" (Cherokee) and Irish American.@Derek Millen You were right in saying Native American.
Thanks for watching, Sean. I'm glad that I used the correct terminology as I would never want to offend anyone in my videos. I appreiate you watching and leaving a comment. Thank you.
Yeah man.. They go all in.. They go full 1624 at this place. Try to trip them up by talking about current technology and events and they know not what you speak of.. Fun place, but I honestly did all this stuff in under 4hrs..
@@Campfacer This is museum. I don’t think the actors actually live there.. They could, but I don’t think they do.. I didn’t hear anyone ask.. But that’s an excellent question..
@@DTours I assume they don’t but it’s weird because there are people out there that prefer to live off the grid old lifestyle so I wasn’t sure if they live there but maybe to help keep the place maintained but probably not lol
I went there on a school field trip in 78...hasn't changed much..awesome.....thanks for the memories. Happy thanksgiving.

Cool video. I’ve been there once on a school trip way back in 1975. Back in our day there was no Zoom, it was a show we watched on PBS.
Pbs is still going too.
Thank you! I always wanted to go
The first settlers actually didn’t land in Plymouth Harbor at Plymouth rock the original rock is in Truro down by Ptown on the Cape
Thanks for watching.

This is cool! I have ancestors that came over on the mayflower, etc. I would love to come visit this place!
Yeah you gotta go visit Plymouth sometime. It’s a pretty cool history destination.. You can do it all in a single day. Thanks for watching my video.
Have a nice Thanksgiving Derek!
Thanks for watching JoJo.. I hope this upload was better to watch than the first attempt.. Happy Thanksgiving..
