You have helped me fall in love with my IP-- I have had mine for 3 years and your videos have helped me use it about every day in the last 2 months! I am now saving for an 8qt!-- God Bless!
I have a 6 qt Duo and I love it. I just changed the sealing ring for the first time. Until Sunday everything was going well. Then I started having issues with the pressure and the pin coming up. I knew it was time and I had just ordered a set of sealing rings. The second they came I put one in. I immediately started cooking with it and it works well. I cooked a pumpkin, some sausage (8 min on meat setting), a batch of smoked Basmati rice PIP and dinner (sausage, beans and greens). Enjoy your 8 qt.
Thanks for the vid, very simple and straight to the point, explained a some of the small features I was wondering what was for. I’m a man living alone learning how to cook so this helped 😂
I just ordered my first Instant Pot. It's a 6 quart. I'm so excited. It's coming on Wednesday. I'm getting rid of a yoghurt maker, 4 crockpots and my 30 year old stainless stove top pressure cooker.
The slow cooker function works fine once you get the hang of it. Just don't cook it on Less. That's the equivalent of Keep Warm. But save a crock pot or two for parties and holiday dinners. It can keep your food warm.
The 8 qt. went on sale on Prime Day, last July. It was the top seller on Amazon Prime Day. Congratulations on finally getting one. I know you'll put it to good use with your large (and growing) family. My next one will be the Mini, for yogurt and side dishes.
My 8 QT is on its way. Scored a Cyber Monday/Tuesday deal for $79 from Amazon. Last Amazon Prime Day in July, I bought an Instant Pot Duo Plus 9-in-1 Multi-Functional Pressure Cooker, 6 Qt for $45. Amazon accidentally posted the offer with too many deductions and I was able to buy it at that price before they caught their error. Thanks, Nili for all these great videos. 👍🙌😀
Thanks for sharing. I just received my 8 insta pot . I consider myself a great cook, but this intimidated me. I have a commercial range and can not figure out this pot cover .also received no accessories pd 168.00 at William Sonoma
We love your soo useful and Practical Informative Videos, specially about this Cooking Items like Instant Pot 8 Quarters, thank you so much, You really have a great Personalty!
Opening with you now. Yeah it is HUGE. It's the only one I have but it's much larger than it looks on here! It was really helpful following along with your opening. I would have had a heck of a time with that condensation collector! haha Ok, I'm off to read the manual and recipe book!! YAY!! Thanks, Nili!
Don't forget... you can also set the lid into either side of the pot in the "holders" when you open your pot... a great feature when you have limited space....
My 9 in 1 6qrt duo plus came in today delivered exactly at 8:00pm....talk abt having a gal sitting on the edge of her seat lol... Thanks for sharing prefect timing
I just got mine today too!! I had watched your other unboxing and loved the idea of the detachable cord and was a little bummed that mine did not have that (oh well). I also liked all the measurement marks on the inside of the pot and mind didn’t have that many (no worries). Can’t wait to get using it!!
Thanks for doing an unboxing! I purchased the 8 quart as well. Could you please do a video on deep cleaning your IP? I think it would be so helpful! Love your videos 🤗
*I love the instant pot so much! I have made quinoa, chicken, chili, asparagus **MyBest.Kitchen** and yogurt in it so far. The only thing that didn't work great was the asparagus. I cooked it for 1 minute and it was still overdone. It is a timesaver and uses much less energy than my gas stove.*
I have a 6qt. and ordered the 8 qt. and will get it tomorrow! I look forward to making larger batches of bone broth. I assume I will have the same reaction as you as far as the size of it. Thanks for all of your videos.....
On my 6qt Instant pot I got mid summer, it does not have the removable moisture cup in the back like yours. Also and most disapointing, my trivit does not have those handles, which as you know are pretty handy. Tother than that they are pretty much the same and I really love my instant pot..
I didn't get a Condensation Collector with mine. Is that because I got the 6 quart and you got the 8? Just got my Instant Pot and yours is the first video I'm watching on it. Seems all Greek to me (the manual), And what about some kind of 5 minute water test I'm reading about?
Thank you for . All the instant pot videos😊 I noticed your from oregon what part? Also I just got a instant pot I heard if your going to be savory vs sweet you should switch the rubber ring on the lid since it keeps odors??
Nili, I really enjoy your videos. I purchased an 8 quart Instant Pot Duo at a yardsale. Everything came with it except the paperwork, cheat sheets, manual & recipe book. Do you know if I can get these items without having to print them off from the website? Thank you! Katy G.
I don't know of a place off hand... Maybe ask in the Instant Pot Facebook page if anyone has some to spare. People with multiple instant pots would probably be happy to give them away for the price of shipping!
Thank you, What size chicken or Turkey can we cook with this 8 quart? Can hardly wait to cooking a Turkey in it. Might have yo cut out the legs to make it all fit. I might buy that German set of knives.
I ordered the same 8qt as you did. It was delivered on Sunday, yesterday I tried it out and loved it but I think Amazon sent me the wrong one. Mine doesn't have the manual button so I was a bit confused when playing with it yesterday. After taking a closer look I was sent Instant Pot IP-DUO V2, not the Instant Pot DUO80. The key pad seems to be the only thing different but almost all UA-cam videos tell you to push the manual button! LOL!!! Do you have any idea if the one I got is a older version? TY!! Love your videos!!
+Stefanie Wagner So I just found out that I got is the DUO80 Version 1 and yours is the Version 2 (V2)... So yours is the newer updated one! They changed the keypad and the display a bit. "Manual" is now "Pressure Cook". They just had to go and change things around and confuse everybody! Lol!
I live in Keizer just south of you. I ordered an 8 qt for my mother in law as a gift. It arrived today - but they (Amazon) shipped it in the iPot box - no outer brown box. The iPot box is all scuffed up and damaged. So disappointing. Was going to hold off giving it to her for a month but I feel like we need to give it and get her using it to make sure it’s not damaged in some way. Disappointing!
I don't know how anyone can use the 6qt as it's small. Your only suppose to fill the pot 2/3 full at most so your not even getting the 6qts. Pretty small to feed a family. I went with the 8 qt which still isn't that big when adding bones for soup.
I have an 8-quart IP arriving next week. I see a lot of recipes on-line that are applicable to the 6-quart. Do I have to modify the recipes for the 8 quart?
No, I don't believe there is any modification needed when doing recipes in the 8 quart. The only thing I can think of is that the minimum amount of water needed in the 8qt is 1 1/2 cups where as the 6qt is 1 cup.
You may have to modify the recipe if you’re going to use larger pots/pans?!? For example, 7” or 8” cheesecake pan versus the 6” pan used in the 6qt. IP.
You have helped me fall in love with my IP-- I have had mine for 3 years and your videos have helped me use it about every day in the last 2 months! I am now saving for an 8qt!-- God Bless!
Fantastic video!! You brought out just the important things only (big and small) and emphasized on *super* important!! Thank you!! 💥

Just ordered mine today. Thanks for the video. Can't wait to try it out.
Good job with the video, you did a great job explaining everything.
Hello, thanks for the video, can we remove the electric cord from the unit ?
Very informative, deciding if I should get one, I know everyone loves them. Your little baby number 5 bump is adorable too :-) thx for the great video
Thank you so much! This was the only video that made sense to me. I just received mine
I get mine Tuesday! I can't wait!!!!
I have a 6qt. and ordered the 8 qt. and will get it tomorrow! I look forward to making larger batches of bone broth. I assume I will have the same reaction as you as far as the size of it. Thanks for all of your videos.....
My 8 qt is the newer version. Thanks for the video explaining the differences.
My 8 qt came in today too!! Woo hoo!!!
Ah Thank you for this video, I am about to get my duo8 7in one ready for using and needed this video! :)
Thank you very much! That was very helpful to me ❤
Are the buttons coverd with a plastic film.?

I don’t know that your answer but the condenser cup does not seem to fit well and when it did fit well there was nothing ever in it?
I can hardly wait to see if I'm getting this bad boy for Christmas! If not, I'm just going to buy it.... using your affiliate link!
I wish you had your 6 qt to compare. Do the 6 qt accessories fit this 8 qt
This was great. Thank you.
Yay! I am so happy for you! I’m enjoying all your videos! Thank you!
I have just gotten mine!!! Thanks for the video!!
Merry Christmas Nili to you and yours!
thanks that was nice and clear

No, all sizes should come with a condensation collector. If you can't find it contact customer service for sure
@@IndigoNili Thank you!!!
Nili, I would love to see and hear your thoughts on the IP 9-in-1 and the 10-in-1.
I don't have experience with either of those models yet. I wish Instant Pot would send them to me to review! That would be nice!
Thanks for the video where should i go for the best price
Thank you! This was so helpful!
Thank you so much!!
Thank you for . All the instant pot videos😊 I noticed your from oregon what part? Also I just got a instant pot I heard if your going to be savory vs sweet you should switch the rubber ring on the lid since it keeps odors??
I read that if you cook potatoes in the IP it does away with the odors. You might want to try that.
Can you address how to increase 6 quart recipes to fill the 8 quart? I have them both and need to use the big one more. Thanks!

I never got a ladle or rice spatula with mine lol hmm
What about the red rubberized ring???
Oh I want that
Does anyone know what the rubber piece is that is on the bottom of the pot? I thought someone said it was something to do with the cord. Help
Thanks!
I’m having trouble fitting the lid on.

You can make sure that yours is shipped in an "Amazon" outside box to protect it by requesting an Amazon box due to the IP being a "Gift'.
I could not find your play list-where did I miss it?

Please someone what is the round measurement of the big inner cooking pot? Inches around. Through the middle. Anything will help me
shawnlawson rupright - the stainless steel bowl is 9 and 7/8 inches inner diameter
@@seattlesusan5464 thanks so much. 🙂
Is trivit stainless steel
Cathy Baby yes, it is.
No, aluminum.
