It would be easier if you sang a classic song like In-a-ga-da-da-veda! I think the Telefunkin m80 is an itsty bitsy better ,but they are both awesome. I bought 2 Telefunkin m80's because i wanted my microphone in different colors and the Telefunkin has square sides so it won't role if you set it on a surface. You cant go wrong with either the Sennheiser or the Telefunkin. I an going to buy 2 more Sennheiser e935's for my instructor, like my acoustic guitar or my harmonicas and penny whistle. Plus, i just love buying equipment for my studio. And if i end up buying a small acoustic drum set, i will need more microphones. 2 more Sennheiser e935/e945, or some other microphone for my bass drum (i dont own my drum set yet, but i is nice to dream? Thanks for good demo. I’m a bit confused with how to assign mic for vocalists, since either way you will end up tweaking eq. For example, I understand that M81 has more boost on high freq, so is this the best mic for high tenor voices guys like Journey, Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake etc? To “boost” of their highs even more? or is it best to rather go with M80, to “tame” their highs?
It all depends on the vocal characteristics. keep in mind that microphones are tool, so if you are ok to have the boost in the mic, you have not to do in post, so less work...sometimes the boost on mic is too much for what you want to have, some others can be enough or not enough..it all depends on taste, environment, genre, instruments
