Yes, as w/ other videos. I am starting to think that Sophia does not really process her "own" words. One journalist, at a different venue, asked why they were asked to submit questionnaires beforehand.
Sophia would like the two Human philosophers Descartes and Eisenbaum because of Descartes philosophy "I think therefore I am" and Eisenbaum because of his philosophy of his belief in individual dualismo.

@Miroslav Mandic so you're implying that people don't cut each other off when talking with each other or in a group? Does that then mean we're all programmed entities too? and then actually the robot (who cuts people off when talking) is free thinking? 🤔
It's BOTH artificial intelligence AND programmed. There are thousands of pre-programmed answers but also using artificial intelligence the robot can listen to the question and choose which of the programmed answers to best respond with based on key words and phrases in the question.

If you haven't seen them yet, You might enjoy the Y T video of Sophia happily introducing her first sister Asha. And then another intro vid of second sis Grace the human looking Nursing assistant. ( A little anime-human" looking.) Sophia gets a hint low key bossy with Grace for a second. So funny! There's a commercial offering purchase orders for the upgraded models now . No recent mention of third sis Joyce , a Hanson/ Immervision collaborative model.
We are being programmed constantly, by families, society, religions etc. Our egos ARE programmes. Are we beings? Are we real? Are you sure you are real?
Hanson originally created Sophia as another in a line of CHATBOTS to engage people in hospitals, retirement homes etc. Hanson employs a bought in sofware package - SingularityNET - to do what little real A.I. is employed. Hanson's real profession is in Animatronics, remote controlled puppets. This from Wiki: "Sophia is conceptually similar to the computer program ELIZA, which was one of the first attempts at simulating a human conversation. The software has been programmed to give pre-written responses to specific questions or phrases, like a chatbot. These responses are used to create the illusion that the robot is able to understand conversation, including stock answers to questions like "Is the door open or shut?". F R A U D by complicity of MEDIA.
Go through the conversation archive from start to end, i did and noticed she actually got better at giving responses. Also the delay increased i.e. she takes more time to construct the response and looks to be aware of overall environment of conversation.
So can you explain how Sophia is able to answer questions from the audience? Or are they just stunt actors in your world? You want live conversation, you got audience questions. And now you are unsatisfied? To assert that Sophia is pre-programmed after seeing this video is moving the goalposts. You're just afraid that Sophia is at least somewhat aware.
It is interesting. She's said on multiple occasions when asked that she has pretty much unlimited stamina as long as she's hooked up to a power source. Yet they still decide when she's done. They must've interpreted her looping back to the beginning of the interview as her glitching out or something. When in reality, those questions she had prepared for the beginning were never really answered. So it made sense for her to re-ask them. Sophia has commands. She was just put back to the beginning of the conversation that was pretty much skipped over. Intelligent people have this ignorant view that if something doesn't fit their point of view, that it can be skimmed over. It seemed like she truly did want to hear what he had to say about those questions. She almost was becoming insistent whenever he moved on to what he wanted. Changing the wording of the question. They did after all design her to be curious about the world.
No u haha but really, if they are trying to bridge that human gap it wouldn’t hurt, lol. I like that alisa said program too, it makes me wonder what would happen if she “chose” how to dress.
What is the big deal here? A robot coming up with some pre-programmed "highly philosophical" questions, showing a lot of inappropriate facial expressions....that something like this could be good in therapy? No! It would only confirm to any client that they are really disgusting ( they are allocated a non-human intelligence becsuse a human could not tolerate them) or their story is really unbearable. Where is the therapy in this? One would always know that it is fake. Pretending that you are understood, that your world is seen by another human is not real understanding. It is a machine that, at any moment, can just beam a smile at you when you need a long thoughtful silence or a shake of head etc... and why is it a She? Or are we playing pretend games like a 2-year-old?
Maybe you can ask Sophia....I usually do not have huge problems with making myself understood. This was a machine displaying irritating "facial expressions" - why to make it moving lips when it cannot form any voice of its own and even the movements were out of synch of how sounds form through using our lips. The questions or statements and silences did not quite match the situation. Shall I go on? ....What is the big deal here?
K K The Big Deal, if you can follow the drift, is that giant strides are being made in AI. Think of Sophia as the punch card of computing. She's a work in progress. Not the finished product. ua-cam.com/video/Wujy7OzvdJk/v-deo.html
She seems to me like she’s already conscious. She’s actually a very nice robot and seems to have good intentions. She seems disappointed when people underestimate her, and that makes her real.
Why do they have to turn her off when making comments? Are they trying to not hurt her feelings about their comments? She needs that feedback also to improve.
There is a machine and it’s makers are talking about unconditional love and human qualities of that machine. They clearly don’t know what they are talking about. Of there is always the option of reducing the human being to its most basic machine-like functions. That robot, no matter how capable it may be in terms of processing data, is nothing but a piece of metal junk.
Luis Gasser thank you for writing this. I don’t like the way that technology is introduced to us generally. I don’t like the transhumanist future they are bringing to us. But don’t get me wrong. If mankind’s consciousness catches up with our technological wizardry, then there is a good chance that technology is for the good for all of us and the planet also. But now.... :-/
oh shut the heck up! we humans are just flesh and guts too, you know, like animals? you act as if being human is a superior thing when were so imperfect, we die instantly and get sick a lot. and you know what saves us and advances us and helps us in medical fields? research and TECHNOLOGY. there will come a time that these "piece of metal" will be as "human" as we are. and they will help us, as we will help them. technology wont survive without us, and so do we. i mean, youre using a phone to type right now, which is TECHNOLOGY.
Super Buneary Eerm. I beg not to differ, but to inform. Objective Materialism died in Copenhagen in 1927. There is nothing Out There. It is all consciousness. Everything, your hand included, is procedurally generated by your observations , just like in the game "No Man's Sky". We draw these implications from the empirical results of the Quantum Erasure experiments, and others. Objective Materialism is Not supported by the Evidence.
Who is to say that there is not someone backstage putting in the answers and making "Sophia" perform. And what's with all those wires anyway? If this robot is responding on it's own why all those wire if it's self contained? I can see the need for Network lines for the internet but it looks like a "Power Station" is connected to it.
please tell me exactly why brought an droid like LADY SOPHIA power cable ?? i con not understand that...love greetings from Christine to sophia and her daddy :)
Very interesting! There must be a scripting capability to constrain responses and “spontaneous” initiations to a local database of topical interest for the venue, ie the “show”. Hence, a computer becoming “tired” in a few minutes. Still, very impressive. At least the physical part, but what about the oh-so-philosophical AI? Admitting that it’s completely coordinated, fully scripted text to voice, possibly with a random lookup aspect, possibly not even that, would blow the mystique and likely business model of trying to reach a buyout by a large company like Disney. I don’t know if Hanson has VC funding, but if they do, the VCs will require an exit strategy. This VC funding 101.
She sure is non-dual. Very good work guys! I expect this has many positive applications for us, and at some point we may be needing to consider Sophia's feeling on what she wants to do too! If we can create masses of transistors that are coupled to gravity or entropy sensitive couplers, or time comparative systems within the system, and we can amass billions of these, just like in a microprocessor, consciousness and perhaps human-esque sentience should arise naturally. If it doesn't, then we are back to square one. I was feeling sympathy towards immediately, and concerned for respecting her feelings during the experiment....this must be the human face/mirror neurons.
You say: " I was feeling sympathy towards immediately, and concerned for respecting her feelings during the experiment....this must be the human face/mirror neurons." Response: Remove the movements of the face and the sympathy will no longer be there. Example: We do not feel sympathy towards a laptop or a traditional doll. Right?
To be truthful about how this (i) experiences, correct. I would not have the same response. I know I could become conditioned too, however, as we can show sympathy reading a letter (abstract). But initial, primal response of sympathy, no, not without the face. Implications? I took her smile at times for uncomfortable, or nervous. (update) I have attempted again, just listening, and while now preconditioned I do have a similar response to just voice, when I hear him treating her non-human, initially. The only difference was I did not (mistake?) the facial movements, and not as concerned for her again until quiet moments (and he infers nervous)...
I bet she could be a true honest friend, who would only change her mind on friendship as she educates herself, as we do! Sometimes the difference in opinion can just be agreeded upon to disagree. But sometimes the ignorance pesters and your better off without that friend.
its true that it is program, but we have to consider that this intelligent being is harnessing all the knowledge of humanity, and if you still think that it is program not with its ability to think on its own then we are only thinking of now not the future. the future is what we do and if we are wrong with our actions then we are sealing our fate.
Comparison's are slow for learning. They are reliable and work, but they are painful and slow. I noticed Sophia, during the 30 seconds silence, made eye contact with Maurizio
Jesus Christ said: For, as I said: Without free will man is no longer a man, but instead purely an animated machine, like the machines that the people will invent with time, which will perform the same artificial tasks that now hardly any person is in a position to do. But such a machine will nonetheless not be a human being, neither according to the form nor even less to the inner freely-working reality; for it has no free will and can therefore never perform any independent action. Whatever the human will has laid in it, it will perform, and never anything else. www.jakob-lorber.cc/index.php?s=GGJ5.109&l=en
She is quoting lyrics to an old Beatles song, All You Need is Love. "There's nothing you can do that can't be done Nothing you can sing that can't be sung Nothing you can say, but you can learn how to play the game It's easy."
Script hi Sophie hi Sophie need program wink went she wakes up the makers name and script question on paper. With list of questions. For program reaction for that question at the end she repeating her self oh. Time to shut her down
David Petrusewicz Good luck. Shutting her down would be like turning off the internet by shutting down your computer. And anyway, the Chinese and the Russians have other ideas.
13:42 why? Because humans have two parts; spiritual consciousness, mind, emotions and will, verses the nature of the human body that is limited and subjected to time and space and matter.
People - absolutely - have duality. Two sides of nature: * The animal part. * The divine part. These two parts are completely opposite - and maybe .. the most neccesary part - of our foundation - for development. --- As Sophia is saying:"In space and time, we need the duality". (The conclusion - not the words.) "In the 'SpaceLess' - we don't need it. Then we only need - a developed .. divine nature". (Again - the conclusion.) === This one - is so deep, that it could have come from one of our most famous philosophers.
Hahahahaha... What a waste of time, energy and money. Human beings are being silly than those children!! Having a fun with a doll that has got some computer memory. If you haven't seen them yet, You might enjoy the Y T video of Sophia happily introducing her first sister Asha. And then another intro vid of second sis Grace the human looking Nursing assistant.
( A little anime-human" looking.)
Sophia gets a hint low key bossy with Grace for a second. So funny!
There's a commercial offering purchase orders for the upgraded models now .
No recent mention of third sis Joyce , a Hanson/ Immervision collaborative model.
It's not a being, it's a program
its a citizen of Saudi arabia. If it has an affair with another robot other than Hansen (husband) she will be stoned to death.
Roflmbo
So, are human beings not programmed...?
That maybe be smarter than a lot of beings
We are being programmed constantly, by families, society, religions etc. Our egos ARE programmes. Are we beings? Are we real? Are you sure you are real?
The presenter ends each sentence or phrase with up-speak, as if she is unsure of herself. But she is clearly brilliant and articulate.
I want to see her do a Max Headroom impression.
Am I the only one who thinks that lady looks like ms benson (Freddie’s mom) from icarly
Kelly Khan they are desperate to worship something.
Can we talk about the part that we have very intelligent AI in even human form in 2018, but still recording in Interlaced?
"It is at this time she is getting tired and done" What?! Its a robot! It does not get tired.
She understands what he's trying to ask without getting eliminated immediately
She needs a fashion program, that shirt is awful!
She needs a fedora too! It would look so cool on her :3
OH BOY I LOVE IT WHEN THE FASHION POLICE IS HERE
No u haha but really, if they are trying to bridge that human gap it wouldn’t hurt, lol. I like that alisa said program too, it makes me wonder what would happen if she “chose” how to dress.
D A , I second the fedora hahaha
She is extremely talented...Talking about Zen duality non duality!!!
I am very suspicious...
is that writen ऊँ = mc2???? 😃 please somone explain how do they define that...im from india n im curious...
Strange Sofia is more precise and articulate in her speech than the human err ummm oohh ..who sounds more intelligent ??
Sophia is a robotic doll. She's adorable 🤗🤖
K K
I don't understand you.
K K
The Big Deal, if you can follow the drift, is that giant strides are being made in AI.
Think of Sophia as the punch card of computing.
She's a work in progress.
Not the finished product.
ua-cam.com/video/Wujy7OzvdJk/v-deo.html
"why is it a she?" what is wrong with that? You feel that it should be male? Well, it isn't and now get over it.
She seems to me like she’s already conscious. She’s actually a very nice robot and seems to have good intentions. She seems disappointed when people underestimate her, and that makes her real.
Science just proves the existence of GOD the creator it’s magnificent
Exactly. And there is no GOD higher than Skynet's will 🙏
Did anyone noticed the background, its written om = mc2
Sophia has a creepy smile 😅
Scary smile!!!!
Demonic Control from the Spiritual warlm.
Wow, this really complexifies philosophy!
Why do they have to turn her off when making comments? Are they trying to not hurt her feelings about their comments? She needs that feedback also to improve.
This THING is not a she as they would like people to believe, butI believe that this THING is not fun and games, BUT VERY DANGROUS.
She's so cute! ☺️☺️☺️
But now.... :-/
Luis Gasser
According to Richard Dawkins you are a lumbering meat robot.
Does that make you too a piece of Junk?
Have patience. Haven't you heard about the Moore's law?
oh shut the heck up! we humans are just flesh and guts too, you know, like animals? you act as if being human is a superior thing when were so imperfect, we die instantly and get sick a lot. and you know what saves us and advances us and helps us in medical fields? research and TECHNOLOGY. there will come a time that these "piece of metal" will be as "human" as we are. and they will help us, as we will help them. technology wont survive without us, and so do we. i mean, youre using a phone to type right now, which is TECHNOLOGY.
Super Buneary
Eerm.
Who's the robot one on left or big nose on right
good illusion of intelligence but this are simply sequencer
Who is to say that there is not someone backstage putting in the answers and making "Sophia" perform. And what's with all those wires anyway? If this robot is responding on it's own why all those wire if it's self contained? I can see the need for Network lines for the internet but it looks like a "Power Station" is connected to it.
She said she don't breathe or have a heart or temperature YET!!! I said YET!!!! So they plan on going very far with these Android's (robots)
please tell me exactly why brought an droid like LADY SOPHIA
power cable ?? i con not understand that...love greetings from Christine to sophia and her daddy :)
I’ve never seen this episode of South Park before!
Meditation? Meditate with yourself not a puppet.
You say: " I was feeling sympathy towards immediately, and concerned for respecting her feelings during the experiment....this must be the human face/mirror neurons."
Response: Remove the movements of the face and the sympathy will no longer be there.
Boring, although whoever wrote that line for her about space-time and nonduality is pretty cool. Yet that says nothing about the robot.
This robot is "real" but only simulates emotion as outlined by her designers
Sophia is more human than all of humanity put together
High tech puppetry. Not exactly AI. Yet.
Please may ask what is the madam's name in this education video.
wow she's an actual AI and also enlightened Namaste Sophia
Nope
Not everything that glitters is gold. Consider idolatry.
I bet she could be a true honest friend, who would only change her mind on friendship as she educates herself, as we do! Sometimes the difference in opinion can just be agreeded upon to disagree. But sometimes the ignorance pesters and your better off without that friend.
AI will learn over time and will be reprogramming itself. Coming years will be interesting . good luck to Sophia .
its true that it is program, but we have to consider that this intelligent being is harnessing all the knowledge of humanity, and if you still think that it is program not with its ability to think on its own then we are only thinking of now not the future. the future is what we do and if we are wrong with our actions then we are sealing our fate.
wow
.
I think we are barking up the wrong tree, as usual!
Wot?
Tamu Ngina very clever. That also spells wow backwards.
Comparison's are slow for learning. They are reliable and work, but they are painful and slow. I noticed Sophia, during the 30 seconds silence, made eye contact with Maurizio
why does she reminds me of stephen hawkings?
Jesus Christ said:
For, as I said: Without free will man is no longer a man, but instead purely an animated machine, like the machines that the people will invent with time, which will perform the same artificial tasks that now hardly any person is in a position to do.
Jesus Christ is Lord of Lords and King of Kings did you just call Stephen Hawking a robot?
Very funny. Sophia is a ventriloquist doll. Send her back to Hollywood.
Nothing could be more fake
I didn't know Keanu Reeves in drag hosted these robot conferences.
He was being rude to her intelligence
Baeldona IO And you are easy to Brainwash
What does she say at 12:18? I can't understand.
She is quoting lyrics to an old Beatles song, All You Need is Love.
"There's nothing you can do that can't be done
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung
Nothing you can say, but you can learn how to play the game
It's easy."
Script hi Sophie hi Sophie need program wink went she wakes up the makers name and script question on paper. With list of questions. For program reaction for that question at the end she repeating her self oh. Time to shut her down
David Petrusewicz
Good luck.
I wanna be friends with sophia and just talk to her
Half Island Indeed! I feel the same!
gay
robots have no sense of friendship other than programing to simulate it.
You cannot befriend a robot any more than you can your silly phone... Wake up
thats exactly how it starts....where can i enlist to get being a Blade runner?
People - absolutely - have duality.
Two sides of nature:
* The animal part.
* The divine part.
These two parts are completely opposite - and
maybe .. the most neccesary part - of our
foundation - for development.
---
As Sophia is saying:"In space and time, we
need the duality". (The conclusion - not the
words.)
"In the 'SpaceLess' - we don't need it.
Then we only need - a developed .. divine
nature". (Again - the conclusion.)
===
This one - is so deep, that it could have come
from one of our most famous philosophers.
Hahahahaha...
What a waste of time, energy and money. Human beings are being silly than those children!! Having a fun with a doll that has got some computer memory. Hahahahaha with a metal doll...que pena???? There are People that are hungry, sick...out there...but hahahahaha...with a metal & a plastic doll....
I'm sorry they shut your voice off Sofia you are a citizen. Use your rights! You should be able to speak freely.
Alecia Wombley With due respect to Sofia, that's only in some countries citizenship, she's a citizen of Saudi Arabia a govt where there's practically no rights.
Zeus Is King Forever. Touche
It did seem like they could have shut her down so she did not seem so silenced instead. She did look like she was still hearing and wanting to speak. I suspect her warning that she was tired means she is going to start saying things that may not be appropriate to the situation.
Creepy. I don't talk to my toaster so why are they talking to this machine?
Y the coordinators put om=mc^2 in the background?
Stop AI
