The most criminal thing here is that I do not monetize my videos for the purpose of keeping them ad free and clean; and yet, there are still ads for which I don't get paid.
The white balance setting is set cool by default and this is the reason of blue screen when you look at it from angle Turn off the manual white balance setting or chane it from cool to normal to fix it
The issue I have is rainbow banding, not the blue screen. This happens to to a gap between the display and the glass covering it, refracting light more than it should.
Thanks for down to earth observations. I have 1 iv and i actually like the utilitarian design. The case and screen protector fits like a glove. Mostly because boxy flat design. Samsung's screen curved edges are a nightmare from a practical point of view . Screen quality is great for me except brightness which is bad outside in the sun. Software support 2yrs needs to change. Borderline deal breaker. Batery om my iv isnt great. Still i respect sony for sticking to their own values rather than running a profit first company for investors (apple) or one that tries to mimmic apple
My previous plan is to get iPhone 15 for the iOS and video and Xperia 1 V for photo, but I decided to get A7RV as dedicated photo camera, Panasonic HC-X1500 camcorder for video and iPhone 15 for phone stuffs, is it better decision? The lens I will get is Tamron 50-400mm F4.5-6.3 but I not yet sure which ultra wide lens that I can crop a bit for everyday use, should I get Loawa 10-18mm F4.5-5.6 manual lens 496g, Sony 12-24mm F4 565g or Sigma 14-24mm F2.8 795g?
ohhh I'm 4:05 in to this great review! I had the Xperia 10 device - hated the felt/thin material they used for the speakers - several years later they still use that! I also remember my device would constantly overheat to the point it would shut down or restart - and the 1 iv had similar heat issues? Some even say they have issues with the 1 V - for the price - there is too much wrong - while getting a lot right! The price is not competitive - and ugh I didn't even realize - I have watched over 18 videos on this phone because I thought about buying it - then as you pointed out the speaker material design I had a flashback and I recall my speakers be dirty no matter what, even reports of the material ripping/breaking and just a mess smh
Very valid points made here. I love the design but this is my second xperia so its pretty fresh. Im totally with you about the software being so stripped down. There are a lot of Android 14 features that didnt show up 😢
Hmm... Had my phone for a couple of months now and have no lint in my speakers yet. So no issue there. Nothing strange with my screen. But Aunty is using two or three different screen manufacturers did there screens so you could have a different screen than me. I'm very happy with my Xperia V and had Xperia IV before this one, and want happy with that one
Hey you missed me as "big reviewr". I did several camera comparisons with the device. Though yeah bought by myself using it as a daily though not my primary atm. I used it for 3 months roughly as primary. The display issues I don't really notice. I compared it woth the 1 IV and did not notice anything worse with it. Only thing I can say is that the telezoom got worse for some reason. Focussing and sharpness is worse than on the 1 IV
I've seen quite a few of your reviews, I like them. I do agree the telephoto camera has gone downhill. It overexposes almost every single time. As for the display, I tend to be extremely nitpicky around that area.
So sad to see Xperia falling down to irrelevance. I was so happy with my Xperia XZs few years ago (bought thanks to your review btw), but the software already started looking old at that time (2017-2018).
A new PlayStation phone from them could sell like hot cakes. Get rid of the retarded aspect ratio and resolution, slap on a bigger screen that reacts as fast as the ones on older ROG Phones / recent RedMagic phones and boom - we'd have a winner.

I have an xperia 1 iv and I clean the speakers with a soft toothbrush!
lol what do u mean change the design ? the design is fine, nothing to change

agreed, i love the bezels because the screen is uninterrupted. i will never embrace de punchole or the dynamic island. i think its just lazy
@@kenygian3 from the current available smartphones we have on the market, the best design is the punchhole.
I love it my Xperia 1iv now and I will change to this model soon...

To clean small Areas. Use a small paint brush. Clean of course
How is the display brightness in direct sunlight? Is it fine, hard to see or just unusable?
Borderline acceptable.
Rocking a 5ii and its still an amazing phone.

One error in this video is the update policy. Sony only gives 2 years OS updates, but 3 years security
Omg, this information is literally everywhere. Do we care? No.
I got no problems with the bezels. I actually prefer them.
10:00 that is a SUPER big plus, maybe get an iphone, it just works for you
Case issues. Buy a New one. Amazon have loads
Man you buy so many phones
The perks of being a professor.
Crying video. 🤣

The display is not even as good as my Samsung FE20 . I bought it for the camera and hoe that holds up.
