Usually on this channel I'm to be found playing the recorder, and sometimes the flute... but occasionally I can't resist trying other instruments, and today it is a strawberry-shaped ceramic novelty ocarina from Amazon.
This is a pendant ocarina with four holes.
I bought it to try for myself, this isn't in any way sponsored.
I'm new to the ocarina (in case you can't tell, ha!)

I just got my strawberry ocarina yesterday. I thought it was funny how the music was for a 6 hole ocarina even though it came with a 4 hole ocarina.
Such a funky little instrument, and actually sounds really nice! I like the super mellow vibe, and when overblown/in combination with the humming it even has some bite :)

Actually, the words 'pendant ocarina' caught my eye, I was curious.
I think ‘pendant ocarina’ is an English-coined term for small, four hole ocarinas, distinguishing from the larger, longer shaped versions. Something like that 🤔

You might want to check out the Sopilka from Ukraine! It's a 10 holed recorder! I love it! Also want a strawberry ocarina now!

I recently got mine but it sounds different to yours i think there might be something wrong with mine but i dont really know
years ago i bought myself an ocarina. Sadly enough my pointing fingers have grown apart so i never ever could get my fingers right on the holes. Mine and your ocarina are fun looking 'toys', because they are out of tune, sadly. Dangling that big juisy strawberry in front of my face... if i didnt already did my shopping for today i would buy me some strawberry's straight away!
Yeah, it’s an amusing enough thing but not sure I could stay in tune well enough to play alongside other instruments. I still like it for some reason, though!
I suffered the strawberry cravings too, had to buy some!
I just rediscovered by old brown clay one! It’s…not quite in tune it seems. Lol.

@@ClaythorpeMusic You need to add one... it's a must...:) you can get an ocarina in C so it will have the same pitch as the Soprano Recorder!!!
@@535Salomon my husband bought me a 12 hole in C for Christmas- not a multi chamber though! I’m looking forward to playing it.
