I found a good deal on the Gigabyte M28U, the smaller version of the M32U. Hope it's as good but I know different panels can have different impacts in the same family.
If your room isn't brightly lit (like this guy's room), I wouldn't recommend an IPS panel (which is everything reviewed here except the G8). IPS glow is the devil. And "accurate color" is pretty subjective if your "deep red" is actually a "dark pink" because your monitor can't display black well.
The first monitor that you say is in the 600 dollar price point is 900 pounds in the UK, which to convert into dollars real quick is around a hell of a lot more than 600 dollars. Don't know if theres been a price increase or if its just that much more expensive in the UK but yeah, defiently not a good first monitor. To put this in even more perspective, your most expensive option is only 200 pounds more expensive than your cheapest option, so no idea what is going on with UK pricing.
The thing thats even wilder, is that it is still 499 on the american amazon store, so even with very expensive shipping it would be far cheaper to get it from the US shipped here, than to buy it here. That has to be a mistake.
Really thinking i'm going with the Samsung G8. As of right now, on amazon and best buy it's discounted to $1,199, 300 off and putting it in that lower bracket. seems like a good deal.
@@TM-vd3df I've got the Neo G8 now and it's great. Using it with a 4090 and no issues. Even though it doesn't explicitly say G-sync on it, it has the AMD Freesync Premium Pro and works anyway. I've not noticed any tearing, especially since I've been using it in 240hz
The Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 kinda seems like overkill imo. Even with the best gpu’s on the market right now you are going to be hard pressed to find many games that can push that many fps in 4k, unless we are talking about almost decade old games like siege or other competitive shooters that aren’t very gpu intensive. Just my 2 cents.
people that play 4k 240 would generally have their settings lowered to achieve those speeds even on modern games. G8 is awesome but sending mine back because the scanlines at 240 are kinda of a dealbreaker for me on a 1k monitor

Can you tell me what you think about the dell G3223Q? I just bought it and I am worried because there aren't many UA-cam reviews on it. Tom's hardware rates it pretty high, and so does Rtings but I still have that fear.

Found it awesome! It's the best imo without getting an oled monitor. I do wish we had QLED monitors but not yet. I think for the price the G3223Q is extremely nice quality. Just make sure you firmware update it when you get it.@@IvanRK7

@@squidwick8457 screen flickering (turns off for 2-3 seconds randomly) is my biggest gripe, also bad light bleed over time, no option for center webcam mount and my govee lights are clearly visible from almost angles due to the large circle housing in the back. I really want the LG 32GQ950-B or going to wait for something else to release that's more current for LG ...maybe even samsung

@@DrakonR yea that is proproganda everyone takes and runs with . I am an owner and dont have those issues. There have been numerous firmware updates to resolve those issues. Those were mostly for Day 1 buyers with firmware 1002. , I have firmware 1003 and i have no issues .

What a lame list. Left out the best gaming monitor on the market...Odyssey G9. But I guess that's out of their budget price range. Having the first gen and the new OLED on it's way I can say 32:9 ratio is on a league of it's own for work productivity and gaming immersion.

Recommending someone spending $1500 for a 34" 4k when you can get a 49" at nearly the same resolution for the same price is just utterly stupid. Especially if you have that kind of money you already have a high end video card.

I suggest you to check scan lines issues, many ppl go for the neo g7 because of the scan lines of the neo g8
