Thank you Kevin that's awesome I'm glad you liked it! I had a killer time fishing for whiting from the surf. Haha you never know! If you catch the CSF jeep you know I'm near by!!
Thanks for the tips man. I’m on vacation in Myrtle Beach right now going out tomorrow morning to test my luck will come out again soon if I have any luck
We'll be headed there this summer! SUPER FREAKING STOKED! Glad I came across this channel! Was trying to find the times too and the description alone was a life saver!
All the piers will be about the same. You will want to fish whichever one has the wind blowing right into it from the south, it'll give you a slight advantage. Thanks for the tips. We need to get together and fish. Heading out to Surfside tomorrow. I work at Rainbow Trout farms in the mountains so I can hook you up with several pounds of fillets if you like em!
Spamming questions here lol. I’m going to surf side beach South Carolina in a week on vacation and I plan to fish from the beach and was wondering: 1. What bait to use? 2. About How much a permit costs (I’m 20) 3. Will the time of year affect what I catch? 4. If so, what can I expect to catch? 5. Is there anything that I need to know about fishing from the shore?

I have a Zebco 808 boss hawg that is pre spooled with 20lb mono...will my rod/reel setup be strong enough to fish with in Myrtle or should I just not bother with it? We’re going down in a couple weeks. Thanks man!
Lots of mullet in surf right now. Great choice of bait for flounder and drum. Fresh head on shrimp will also be great for spots whiting drum and pomps.
@@Koalabearsuits you do need a license unless you are fishing from the pier. The admission covers license for that day. I would definitely catch your own mullet and buy shrimp.

Welcome Brett glad you found us! A good medium heavy penn combo surf setup will do you great out there and last a while. I'd put some 20-30# braid on it. I like to use hand tied bottom rigs. Do you have a video on what is legal to bring to fish at myrtle? Like are their certain gear you should use as basics or stuff to avoid? Also can i just get a walmart fishing license and be able go fish? Going down next week
You sure can! Just make sure it's a saltwater license and you're good. You can use anything that isnt what traditional shark fishing looks like, big reels, heavy line and metal leader, etc. Otherwise anything would work. I've used uglystiks before and you can have a lot of fun catching whiting, flounder and drum with those. Id recommend a better reel like a Shimano sienna or diawa crossfire. I'd also look into penn combos. You can see what gear we use at carolinashorefishing.com!

What part of Myrtle Beach is good to fish where there's very little people.
The piers in my experience since you're not allowed to swim within a certain distance.
