It is a lovely coop... but in my option it's way too small. 4 square feet of coop space per bird and 8 square feet of run space per bird is what is recommended as the bare minimum...Especially to avoid fights due to the pecking order.
Yeh. Definitely something we’ve thought about. Supposedly this coop is for 8-10 chickens, but I think it’s way too small for that many. If the chickens are cramped we will definitely add to the coop, but we also plan to have them free range during the days once they are bigger. We’re probably gonna end up adding & customizing this coop to suit our needs! 🙏🏻

Wow, the chicks got a deluxe condominium with all the amenities. They are so cute. Did you get different breeds? I love the chickens that look like they have ruffles around their ankles and tufts of long feathers on their heads. Don't know the exact breed. The flower garden is going to be epic for sure. Did you design a plan for where each flower went or did you just put them in the ground all willy nilly? Even though this property is so different than California I love how your making it into a beautiful little compound. I'm really looking forward to seeing it all come together this summer.

I have a postage stamp garden front and back yard. Planted tons of wildflower seeds, maintainence came and sprayed them all, so now nothing😢😢😢 the seeds were from Sow Right seeds too..hoping to move soon. Love your videos learn so much❤❤❤❤
I just moved to virgina in the fall. The soil here is so different from where I moved. What type of soil do you have? I've never had success with wildflower seed but perhaps I would living here.
Someone told me raccoon dug out the soil below chicken coop and killed chickens. He said he learned from that accident. He put chicken wires on the ground so reccon can't crawl in.
Your videos are beautiful and calming. I love your chicken coop and just being self reliant by doing all those things. 🪴 it’s a beautiful feeling to see the fruits of your labor.
