    Should’ve had painters come in before lights and flooring was done your asking for a larger painter bill.

    That was a fire idea to use a tupperware bowl on a hole saw bit to catch the sheetrock dust.. I've never seen that before!!

    I just got to make another comment when I saw the main panel in the garage, that electrician did a clean job with all the home runs leaving about an inch or two of sheathing still left on the wire labeled... That was pretty clean!!

    so odd you direct burried the powerlines... I havent seen that done since like the 70's, lol...
    Here in AZ, direct burrial isnt allowed due to our very sharp rocky ground... and for any future work, its a breeze to pull out old wire and pull new wire through existing conduit.....

    That trench not 3 ft deep. The 90 elbow is sticking out the ground. Thats at best like a 1-1.5ft at the meter. Never seen the power company, not run pipe for underground. I do it sure, but never seen a power company do so. Has to be their line, since meter on building. Guess they could do it different there. We require an outside disconnect.

    Just wondering why you didn’t paint before putting in lights and flooring.

    The electrics in the usa wood fail in a heart beat here in the uk…wow..to me shocking work but to you good work but hey just how it goes..If i was to carry out an inspection there that would fail immediatly

    • @champinsoccer9
      @champinsoccer9 2 роки тому +6

      What exactly would you fail it for? As an electrician in the USA I'd like to know what you would fail them for compared to the UK

    • @tdub3366
      @tdub3366 2 роки тому +1

      I'm an electrical engineer and I too want to know what would fail? The only thing I questioned was the electrical wiring in the trench needs conduit unless it's rated as direct burial wire..

    • @champinsoccer9
      @champinsoccer9 2 роки тому +2

      @@tdub3366 yup. only thing i can think of is we do things differently compared to the UK. i couldn't find anything that was against code. im from the area this house is being built and power company's around here do different things when it comes to line side power. EPB (who supplies his power) doesnt pipe it all the way to the transformer. and youre right, it's direct burial. it's piped only down the wall on the house with a 2½" 90°. other power companys around here will pipe it all the way to the tranny. VEC specifically.
      one power company around here wants the top of the pipe @ 5 feet deep with a sweep 90.... we've hand dug that many times..

    "Look how beautiful this is" bro! take off the panel, then I'll see if its beautiful or not. If you cant make the finish panel look good, then you shouldnt even be working on a house. The part that looks good or not, is how they wired inside it.

    Yikes. Looks like a lot of the hooks on the outlets got insulation pinched under the screw.
