Back in the day, like 100 years ago and earlier, it used to be alot more common for male friends to show physical affection, like female friends will do. And no one thought anything of it. But the "gay panic" of the later 20th century made that more taboo.
We all go back to elementary, middle, and high school. Countless summers and memories where a brotherhood was built from day 1. I could go 3 years without hearing from them, meet up, and act like nothings changed! It truly is great.
The friendship between these young men is truly uplifting and inspirational. I agree with one of the comments, it is more than just friendship. This is family!!!
Wow what a true example of you don't have to be blood brothers to have brotherly love and affection for your friends. These guys are amazing don't ever lose that bond. More friends need to be like this

My bro is still in Kuwait, been there for a year and some months now. Not my blood brother but basically my brother because we grew up together. He called my mom, mom, I called his mom, mom, it's just that bond. He doesn't come back until like Christmas. Wish I could see him.

Anyone that has even been a military brat knows how hard it is to make and keep friends for longer that 3-4 years at a time. And having friends like this guy has is a blessing. I have many friends from all the duty stations my dad was at and we have kept up throughout the years but when I got home from bootcamp, I didn't have that type of reception. You are a lucky dude to have that kind of love from your brothers!(Friends)
