- Surprising my mom on her doorstep in Oregon, She thinks I'm in the UK.
I haven't seen my mom for almost 2 years. We are very close and speak almost everyday. She had no idea that I had jumped on a plane from London and met her at her doorstep in a little town in Oregon.
She had been visiting Oregon's coast and rented a cute (strangely decorated) little house right on the water. So it was the perfect time to visit! :D

She's from America but is living in the uk, I think that's what she explained at the beginning anyway, I think she said Canterbury, either that or I'm mishearing her posh sounding southern accent lol
When i first listened to her i thought she might have a English accent, but you can tell it's just a little English sounding twang on her American accent. That often happens with American, it's not like the American accent changes completely but it often slightly alters.
Maybe she was partially raised in the UK beacuse she picked up a lot of Posh sounds in her American accent

I experienced a similar thing when i wanted to surprise my family after a few months on army.I visited my aunt and cousins first because it was closer.It was 10:00pm and i thought i will find them everyone there.I was on the door, putting my staff down and in that moment i hear loud voices from inside.At first i thought they are doing a party but when i tried to ring the bell i heared a scream that make me frozen.You know what i mean,i left in hurry and called her for a nearby park,she said to me that my cousins werent there and it was better to come back tomorrow if i wanted but later she called me again to come now.She was red heated and a bit awkward and with a smile all over her face. After some time i told her that i knew she was with a boyfriend and she was standing there like a statue.We laughed after a few seconds and she told me not to tell anyone.She was divorced but didnt want anyone to know that she had a sex active life.And thats too difficult because my aunt is at her 50's and looks amazing,like this mom,her body looks two decades younger.
