@@AeroworksProductions thanks, just got back from the Zenith rudder workshop, my kit gets deliver in August. Please post if you get it figured out because I will order one!
Very interested to know what the difference, in terms of braking and 'off airport' takeoff performance & feel, will be like. It looks like your project will certainly yield some pretty interesting experimental aircraft design advances for the Super Duty. Thanks for bringing us along on your journey. By-the-way, I was watching "Kit Plane Enthusiast" (Mark) go through his nose gear install and I get the impression the gear is designed for not that much travel ? ... I guess the new shock of course matches the old system's performance (travel) but with better damping and temperature variation (winter & summer) performance ? Any impact on the nose gear steering set up ?
Nothing changes at the bottom of the nose strut with the steering connections or tire and wheel mounting so just an improvement in suspension and customizable rebound dampening.
Shock not ready for the SD yet. Needs additional work. Designed for the standard 750 which is slightly different in the mounts on the firewall. May re-visit in the future,
Got all excited thinking these were an option for the main gear somehow. The bearinger design is so pricey there’s no real price listed that I can find. Heard rumors it’s $5k plus….🤦♂️
enjoyed
Exciting things coming up!
That suspension is gonna be very slick👍
Interesting option.. Looks like they do beautiful work.
Nice upgrade Adam. I like that it's adjustable. should help with those slick landings.
Thanks Steve, yeah we’ll see about that.
Did you ever get that shock installed? Are they going to be available for sale?
Still working on it. Just needed a bit more engineering for the SD as far as mounting options go.

What’s the weight of the shock and brackets?
As soon as I cut the stock front strut, I’m going to do a weight comparison between the 2. Stand by…
How much does the coil-over, mounting bracket, hardware, and additional stiffeners weigh?
I’ll get some exact weights but equal or less than the parts and tube I’m removing.
Did you ever get this shock installed? I checked other videos and I saw the engine mounted but the original donuts were still on the plane.

Is that a RC Draco I just saw?
Good eye, we'll save that for another episode ;)
This one isn’t in the playlist
Thanks for the heads up, added.
I wonder if the will fit the Standard stol
They have made them for all Zenith models, just need actual weights of your plane and engine for proper adjustment.
@@AeroworksProductions thanks I wont have the weight till I am done unless an estimate is close enough.

How does this new suspension affect the nose wheel steering with the suspension not rotating?
Oh great question but the shock still rotates internally.
