  • No doubt one of the biggest events in the 71/4" Gauge calendar takes place annually at the Echills Wood Railway located in Kingsbury Water Park in North Warwickshire (Only 5 minutes from M42 Jct9).
    A four day weekend of frantic activity for EWR members to set up and operate with loco owners & friends & family travelling from all parts of the UK to enjoy themselves.
    On Sunday only there are services operating for other visitors to the park and riding these 'Little Trains' is always popular with young and old alike.
    My lineside video starts at the 'Roundhouse' and continues via the now well known 'Gnome Garden' to 'Picnic Jct Halt' and on to the twin bore tunnel before arriving at 'Far Leys Station' . A lot of filming in this area before heading back via 'Picnic Green' to the main 'Harvesters Station' where the journey then concludes at the shed area.
    Too many loco's to list individually but once again as always a fantastic selection, I was not 'selective' about what was filmed so you will see the same one's more than once...... or twice!!
    Just relax & enjoy these passing trains in small scale which represent types once seen operating on standard gauge lines throughout the UK & elsewhere.

      They certainly do Bob and it's obvious that visiting drivers enjoy letting their locos stretch their legs lol. Thanks for kind words and glad you enjoyed it although maybe editing improved the camera work haha. Regards, Brian.

    I think everyone had a great time yesterday, i certainly did ( I'm 'guarding' the Bantam Cock at 17:18)!
    Nice to see a variety of new and different engines and people as well as the familiar ones. Hope you had a great time and have a good one again if your going today
    George

      Yes I'm sure they did George, always a great event and there were certainly plenty out on track during my time filming. Just had a look at you sitting on the 'tail end' at Picnic Green, you don't look like you were enjoying it but I'm sure you were. I was'nt able to visit today (Sunday) as I was at The Chasewater Railway so hope you had another fun day, cheers, Brian.

    Some incredible locos there Brian, great to see such a range from so many eras. And a lot of work has clearly gone into creating the appropriate rolling stock too! I guess this will be the closest we'll get to seeing a 9F on the mainline too lol. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Rob

      Aren't they just Rob and yes, the replica coaches & wagons really are impressive. I didn't mention it but apart from seeing a 9F I'm sure you will have noticed they were BOTH 'Evening Star'! I wonder if the NRM have to approve replicating the last built lol. Cheers, Brian.

      Another member owns a 9f too, also Evening Star! I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it was there. If I'm correct, that's 3 of them!

    Excellent video and a very impressive display of model locos and trains!! What though is the attitude of ‘Elf and Safety to the carriage of passengers on top of model carriages and wagons?

    • @SYKAROST
      @SYKAROST  6 років тому +1

      Thanks Ron, glad you enjoyed it. Those 'model coaches & wagons' have padded seat roofs and running boards or foot pegs and are designed to carry passengers with normal care. No one should travel on a vehicle not so provided. Loading, balance & weight distribution have to be considered however especially in the large sit in coaches which are much wider than the track. Brian.
