This gotta be one of the best videos I’ve ever seen yall killed the fishing in this video it got even more interesting when you started catching fish with a bare jig head! I’ve seen it done maybe once or twice but I’ve never ever seen nobody catch em back to back on a bare jig head this was a really good video thanks for sharing with us 👍
Take lots of live shrimp, you will lose a bunch to smaller fish and you don’t want to be worrying about running out of bait. Some artificial shrimp, 20-40lb fluro depending on water clarity. I don’t know what gear you have but a landing net is nice to have and so is a cart. I saw some guy on a FB group he rents out the carts basically with all the gear you need if you want me to look for his page.
@@reelversatile Nice! I'll be bringing a few different setups. I'll need to get some 30lb and 40lb fluro. Only have 20lb right now. All my stuff has braid, ranging from 25lb to 50lb, 65lb and bringing a shark rig with 150lb. One thing I don't have is a landing net, probably need to get one. Alot of videos I've seen people chumming the waters, is that something you'd recommend too?
Amazing video brother. Would you mind sharing some educational tips for fishing in the keys . The last 3 times I went over to that bridge I struggled big time.
I'll be the first in line to vote for a 30 fish regulation on Yellowjacks. This is the only place in the world where you can catch them with consistency in the cooler months in the keys from a bridge. Nice job and share the wealth.
In my opinion there has been more and more yellowjacks the last few years. I’m not a biologist but there is always a reason behind unregulated species. A big yellowjack boom= less food for other species such as muttons ect. That’s just the way I look at it, all I know is me, my family and friends are eating good 🤙🏼
@reelversatile That is a great response. I didn't want you to think that I'm just a jealous non producer. I've put in my time on the bridges, and to be honest, just spending time with my wife fishing for whatever may be is worth getting nothing at all. It's a unique environment and you guys sure ran into a unique bite.
1/2 mostly but all depends on the current, so I take various sizes. I bought those at bite me bait shack in homestead. Not sure where to find them online
Dude you just have to get lucky I’ve had action and no action in any weather, moon phase, tide that exists lol. I just go when I can I don’t care about conditions. What I can recommend is don’t be afraid to move around the bridge if you don’t have action in a couple hours.
Not sure to be honest because I’m not sure what you consider a good day. All I know is at the beggining of me hitting the bridges I wouldn’t catch too many fish but every single time I learned something from the experience. Try different techniques and move around, eventually you’ll get the hang of it
Yes sir, also a very important tip is keeping the fillet table clean that way you don’t have to rinse the fillets with fresh water. The fresh water will deteriorate the meat quick and you end up with mushy fillets, I pat them dry really good and vacuum seal them meat to meat and leave the skin on the outside to prevent freezer burn also 🤙🏼
Forsure dude a lot of people don’t know that! I just ate some yellowjack from 2 months ago yesterday, tasted fresh. Saw some guy on FB saying “I’m not sure why people freeze fish, my yellowjack from last week taste super fishy”. First thing I thought was he didn’t process it well enough and also fish is supposed to taste at least some what fishy… after all it’s FISH 😂
I think what I legally can. Why wouldn’t I? I give some to family and friends and put away the rest, I have fish dip year round ready to eat. Any more concerns Karen?
Gotta love fl keys bridge fishing. Every now and then you actually have a killer day like this, kickass bro!
Thanks man, yeah the bridges have their days!

You guys should’ve play the lottery that day wow !!
Thank you sir for sharing your experience,
Great fishing mania,
Keep the spirit, brother,,,
Thank you, I will
What size jig head and is that a DOA shrimp? Amazing work with artificial guys. Subscribed and love the content.
Size depends on how strong the current is, so I take multiple sizes. DOA, monster3x, thumper shrimp ect would all work.
That is some great fishing, so many species
Thanks for watching
Those are some state of the art fishing carts
😂😂 yeah man
Nice work! You guys are eating good!
Thanks dude! Nice to see you here 🤝
Congratulations, amazing fishing days, what bridge was that?
Excellent Fishing

What bridge is this that you are fishing on ?
Amazing video brother. Would you mind sharing some educational tips for fishing in the keys . The last 3 times I went over to that bridge I struggled big time.
Yes I have to get to it! I just don’t like killing fishing time to record if you feel me
And thank you 🤙🏼

Do you u have a link for those round jig heads? And how heavy do you use on the bridge?

Which rig are y using for yellow jacks im tryng many only work pompano rig
If only there was a 17:31 min long video showing everything 🤔
Where do you guys filet your fish

Is this day from the fish you gave me?
If this is Chris then yes
Still waiting for my 🐟dip fam 😥 Good video though!
Coming soon!
I was there 2 weeks ago and it was really slow. No schools of yellow jacks like that. How do you pick a good day to go?
Dude you just have to get lucky I’ve had action and no action in any weather, moon phase, tide that exists lol. I just go when I can I don’t care about conditions. What I can recommend is don’t be afraid to move around the bridge if you don’t have action in a couple hours.
Thank you for the honest info. So out of 10 trips there, how many days do you have a lot of good action? 3/10,6/10, etc?
Not sure to be honest because I’m not sure what you consider a good day. I hope you vacuum packed them

Rule number one never put sink water on any fish. So many chemicals it ruins the fish

🏃🚶🏃🚶🏃🚶🏃🚶🏃🚴🚴🚩
why would you need to take so many fish? and you really gotto learn how to bleed the fish.
I think what I legally can. Why wouldn’t I? I give some to family and friends and put away the rest, I have fish dip year round ready to eat. Any more concerns Karen?
@@reelversatile lol Karen I can see u one of them liberal millennial numbnutz feeling entitled aren't we
do a catch n cook
Will do!
