Remember this was pre mobile phones, all those Celtic fans who roared in unison, every other fan must have had a radio, a fantastic day in the history of Celtic football club.
Saw Billy Connolly dressed in ridiculous stripey trousers at the main entrance to Love St that day. Had some great days as a Tim, this was definitely up there. Conspiracy theorist should also note how many great saves Packy made in the match, it wasn't all one way traffic. Best goal I've seen Celtic score for the third, forget the guy that scored it though.🍀
You ppl posting are lucky Bhoys!! I wasn't allowed to go to away games till 88, was too young my ma said!! But I remember this game like it was yday... When your that young , no burd, job or kids etc.. Celtic were everything to me!my whole life was Celtic .... My 1st away game was 88 semi final against hearts..... My 2nd was the final (Frankie final haha) the best day of my life up till then.. This game was the best day of my life b4 the 88 final 🙏🏻🇮🇪☘🇮🇪☘🇮🇪☘🇯🇴🇯🇴
I'm dumping the bird leaving the job and the kid is almost an adult. I'm leaving Ireland and going to live in Glasgow. My real true love celtic are there. Hail hail
what a game that game will stay in ma mind until the day i die that was my first away game (first of many) we went on train from Glasgow me and my best pal Brian his big brother and his pals took us honset wot game but also what great team hail hail to team of 1986
Given the occasion, the condition of the pitch & its significance, this is my most favourite Celtic goal in my lifetime. It is to Celtic what the Carlos Alberto goal was to Brazil in the 1970 World Cup Final. A beautiful flowing move, one, two touch at its finest. At the time it was the goal that said "this is happening today" to the support. You don't witness a goal like that & for it to be meaningless.
Jim Stewart's face when the cheers went up when he had the ball 🤣🤣🤣 straight on the phone to Sandy Clark the diver at Dens, Sandy! my team mates are lying down to them. lol
Albert craig best celt never to ware the shirt .dundee goal was 1biggest cheers in my life ,past present future nothing changes. No atmosphere without greenbrigade think that says it right thare🎉🎉
I was 10 years old & as a child I knew Celtic weren't just a football club, but it was this day that I realised we were a people.. A family I'd only been to Celtic Park 6/7 times at that age!! It was the centenary year I started to go to all home games.. Was at the semi & the final of the Scottish Cup & say us win the league against Dundee!!! That's when , at 11, I really fell in love with our club. It was 2/3 years later before my parents let me go to a Huns game & it was the best day of my life... Hearing ppl sing songs I thought were only sung in our house?!? Hardcore Rebel songs... And I was so happy to be a Tim AND a Republican!! I spent 3 months of the year in Ireland since I was a baby so I KNEW I hated the brits who would harass my parents for no reason!! I just didn't know WHY I hated them so much??? It didn't take me much longer to find out!!! I know Celtic has nothing to do with the Provos BUT I also KNEW when I went to watch my team 75% of my own kind were there too! 🙏🏻🇮🇪✊🏻🇯🇴🙏🏻☘☘☘☘
I was in the shed that day and remember at full time the crush to get on the pitch, the polis pushing you back and crowd behind.i always think that if that wall had went it could have been worse.

St Midden is some of the most cringeworthy patter ever. Do any of you fuckwits who think it was a conspiracy, ever consider that all Hearts had to do was get a point at Dens? Also St Mirren thrashed Hearts 6~2 earlier in the season. That also effected goal difference. But don’t let facts get in the way of your agenda.🤡

The third goal scored by judas is one Ange's Celtic would be proud of.

3 of the best goals your likely too see in one half
Paul Mcstay was superb that day 💛
You could say that for just about every game he ever played!
Still greet when I see it.
Same
That 3rd goal was just sheer beauty have we scored many better teams goals?

Just a shame it was that rat who put it in the net
First away game without my auld boy was 15 what a day
The movement for the third goal was brilliant. That said, that was my worst experience as a football supporter. Guess who I support??
Was Davie Hay making an advert for Hamlet cigars?
Brilliant video mate 👍 yeehaaa 🍀 🍀 🍀 🍀 🍀 🍀 🍀 🍀 🍀
You've got to be Albert Kidding me 😂😂😂
Jim Stewart's face when the cheers went up when he had the ball 🤣🤣🤣 straight on the phone to Sandy Clark the diver at Dens, Sandy! my team mates are lying down to them. lol
God Jim Whyte looks older in 86 than he did in 2016.
In my. Time
Another 80s highlight
I remember it well.
I ran a wedding reception in Falkirk that day. The bride’s father was a hearts fan. Ruined what should have been the proudest day of his life. Tough
I was there!
The buns who were at home that day thought Walter Kidd had scored for Hearts, but it was Sir Albert, couldnt make it up😂😂😂😂😂
Can’t deny Mo Johnston was prolific
@19:27 That is some seat that a young Matt McGlone managed to get.
There's only one Albert Kidd.

Does anyone remember a brief, false rumour in the first half that Dundee had scored?
"You have to feel sorry for Hearts"
Erm, no you don't
She got it wrong at the end.
You DINNAE have to feel sorry for Hearts. 😂
