  • My 7am Pilates Morning Routine! | My Workout & What I Eat
    Hi all!
    Welcome back to another week! A lot of you had requested a realistic morning routine so I am giving you exactly that. It doesn't get any more real than this! As much as I talk about routines and staying consistent every single morning, I understand that sometimes that isn't always the case for many of us, myself included. Waking up and immediately forcing yourself to hit the gym hard or go on a 6 mile run because you are afraid to break your routine, isn't always the healthiest or most productive either. I have had to teach myself this and work so hard on this for YEARS! Now, I can honestly say that I am in a much better space where I actually take a moment right away in the morning after I wake up and listen to my body, asking myself what it is I need from myself today. Sometimes, that isn't putting my workout clothes on and heading straight to the gym, but rather taking that 30 minutes to myself in the morning to meditate, journal, and let my body wake up naturally. Whatever it is you feel you need to do in the morning to set yourself up for success is what I highly encourage you to do!

    Chia-Misu Recipe
    Chocolate Chia Seed Layer:
    - 2 tbsp chia seed
    - 1 tbsp cacao powder
    - ¼ tsp cinnamon
    - Pinch of salt
    - 1 tbsp maple syrup
    - ½ cup warm plant- based milk (we recommend oat or pea milk)
    - ½ tsp vanilla extract
    Coffee Layer:
    - 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (I like using Ritual)
    - ¼ cup plant based milk + 2 tbsp
    - 1/8 tsp cardamom
    - ¼ tsp cinnamon
    - 2 tsp maple syrup
    - ½ espresso shot or decaf
    Greek yogurt layer:
    - ¼ cup Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt

    One of the hardest things to do is get into exercising when one has not been exercising for a while.

      I definitely know that this can be a struggle for so many of us! Exercise is one of the most disciplined thing we can do for ourselves. But once you start slow, you can build a routine from there!

      I am dealing with the same issue. I stopped after catching covid and for several months, because I was extremely exhausted. Then life happened, too much work etc and before I noticed it, I had given up completely. I started a few days ago again but only for a few minutes a day. Unfortunately I have lost my stamina.

      For me if I start slowly it’s far less daunting. Don’t put on the pressure of an hour long boxing class…. something like 20 min of Pilates or walking up and down a stair case in a park for a half hour.
      It doesn’t have to feel punishing it can just feel good!

      I had the same issue, I am 44 and have had 4 kids, but once I started I saw results quickly and it really was motivating. Small but definite progress and I’m doing stuff now I never ever thought I’d be able to do again. I guess that’s the beauty of exercise, no matter what level of fitness you start off at you feel improvement pretty much immediately 🥰

      I used to be super sedentary. Th best thing I learned was to set really easy goals to build the habit of movement. I did 10 min per day for a month and then it finally started to click! Good luck to you, I totally feel u ❤️

      I do not count steps or track calories, I try to just move and eat each day with how my body is feeling! But I encourage anyone to do whatever makes them most comfortable! x

    Sanne I would like to ask you something I'm 16 years and almost 9 months old and I would like to ask you about something I'm 5"6(I'm a male) so is there any chane i could get taller to like 6 ft 2 or something or is my height has stopped like have I stopped growing taller by now ? Or how it is like please I hope you can answer me (btw both my parents aren't tall my dad is actually short,my mom is average but both my maternal and parental grandfathers are tall so is there any chance I can grow taller)

      Hi :) I just want to say that you don’t need to be any taller! My husband is 5’6” and he is wonderful :) we tell ourselves that we have to be this or that to be happy but just do your best to be healthy and balanced and you will be the best version of you :)

    In case you weren’t aware drinking all day out of a straw can give you wrinkles around your lips like a smoker. It also allows more air into your system which can cause digestion issues with bloating and gas.

    I sometimes find exercising and writing in a diary a bit troublesome, and I can’t continue doing that. You mentioned that it becomes routine in your comments; have you ever felt that it’s a little troublesome during it becoming routine? And how long does it take to become routine?
    I'm late to put comments…. I hope that you find this comment 😭😭 What’s the timeframe for commenting after a post so that you’ll see it?😢

      Hi! I definitely feel you! It is sometimes difficult to make something a “routine,” but I would say it’s different for everyone! Some it might only take a week or so to stick to and form a routine, and some it may take longer!! But just remember however long it takes for YOU is okay :)

      I personally just don’t like to workout on full stomach and I have so much more natural energy I feel! But it is different for everyone!

      I totally understand that. But I was just wondering. I work with a dietitian at the moment to get my period back and she says fasted workouts are a no-go because the female body is so sensitive to energy deficiency. As you mentioned having problems with your periods, have you thought about that? However, I’m doing a lot of endurance sports like running, biking and swimming. So there may be differences Backes there’re very energy consuming.@@SanneVloet

    i used to follow a youtuber who had blood circulation issues at her fingers and she used to have ED back then. i am assuming you are at a healthy weight so maybe you should ask your doctor for other causes for this

    Your fingers going numb like that is Raynaud's syndrome. It has nothing to do with your circulation but it is the messages sent from the brain. You need to teach your body to adopt to changes. Id recommended finishing your showers with a couple of minutes cold shower 💧

    10:56 I think you have Raynaud's Syndrome! Nothing you can do about it but you can check and confirm with your doctor.
