Wow! Two of my personal favorites come together! Rosalie, you are SO good at this. So prepared, so warm and welcoming, and so intelligent.
Pegasus, I’ve just discovered his channel like 3 weeks ago. I love his 80’s hair metal reactions. I love watching him go from not knowing what he’s about to see, to genuine appreciation for the video.
I’m a single dad, my kids are grown and out. I spend a lot of time alone, and you all are like family to me.
HUGE fan of The Warning (Love your reactions to them, Rosalie!), but spent A LOT of time in CCM music. A ton of DC Talk, Petra, Stryper, and the like.
Keep doing what you’re doing, you’re making a difference!

I understand what you’re saying . The channels become communities .
The communities around shared experiences and because it’s something we love by choice , we are good faith actors within it . Those that aren’t , don’t stick around . They move to their own communities .
This is what Adam smith talked about perfecting what means something to us , our natural skills together , because that’s what’s best for everything .
Ironically it reminds me of bill and Ted’s excellent adventure lol

I've been considering our recent embracing of all things past, Reactions, Reunions, Remakes. Rosalie touched on the existential aspect and to expand, I suspect it has alot to say about our current state of mind. The past is safe; present is painful; future is scary. Even a bad past is safe, there is no danger in what has already happened. So we look back free from anxiety or fear.

Black Pegasus has become my favorite reaction channel. I am a Boomer. He reacts to so many genres and artists. Music is the universal language. It effects people differently. People have different tastes in music just like we have different tastes n food, art, etc. It’s fun seeing younger people take interest in and be introduced to music of other eras and genres. He is very genuine.

Rosalie I got the audio working. Before I explain what I found. What a great interview. It has been interesting from a viewers point of view to watch hosts of channels grow and develop with their channels. I can see the changes in BlackP in the last year or so. He is definitely showing more emotion.
You from day one of seeing your channel were more open and I loved your reaction when Ren stands up in ‘hi ren’ and how you went on to explain how you were feeling. So powerful.
As for the sound I got it working in my car. The reason it worked is you only have blackp on one audio channel. The left I think. So in the car he was only coming out of one set of speakers.
I couldn’t hear him on my earbuds as I was only wearing one. I do that a lot. And the two videos where I have lost sound were when I only had the right earbud in. So it only played the one channel of audio. Hope that helps as different people will listen in different ways. Make sure the audio is on both the left and right channels or you will get one earbud guys like me going crazy 🤪
Thanks again for your channel and everything you do. Take care and be safe.

Oh. Hey Black Pegasus. I'm well educated, but one of the most important things I've learned is that you can't judge intelligence by how well educated a person is. Some of the smartest people I've known didn't have the opportunity to go to college or be exposed to that 'intellectual' side of things. Some of the most dense people I've met have been highly educated but in one narrow field which often makes them blind to other ways of seeing something. Experience and an open mind are always best

Great talk. I grew up with Led Zeppelin, Aerosmith, etc. In the late 80's I gave my life to Christ and discovered Christian music. Gave up on secular music to embrace something that had real meaning. Then I discovered UA-cam and it brought me back to those moments early on in life. Now I feel I need to see ya'll react to some Christian music from back in the day. I think it all has its place.

  • @MrNiccholas

Really great interview! I recognized something during this interview that I hadn't seen before.
I watch a bunch of reaction channels and the majority of them are people branching out to genres and styles of music they haven't heard before. I grew up listening to a very small, very conservative, specific section of Christian music and classical music. Other than hearing a song in a store I didn't listen to anything that was current. In college I started branching out into country music and really took to it. Then I started branching out further and listening to things I would never have imagined.
Seeing others find music I enjoy brings me a sense of satisfaction because I don't have very many friends I could show these songs to so at times it fills that desire I have.
I have a number of medical issues and I can't get out much so I have a lot of time on my hands. Watching reaction channels help pass the time. I found a number of my favorite reaction channels after seeing Hi Ren. So much of Ren's music caused me to go look for what others had to say. Honestly Ren is one of the main reasons I didn't end it last year. I was ready to, I had my plan, I was writing my note when Ren's song "How to Be Me" started auto playing and caught my attention. As I watched it I started seeing my family and friends sitting there singing it and I realized I couldn't put that kind of pain on them. I had heard the saying somewhere that "Su!c!de doesn't end the pain it transfers it and multiplies it to those who loved you." As much as I may want to sometimes, I'm not willing to do that to them.

I think the older we get we should enjoy more that life has to offer. It seems every so often something happens in the world and people reach for the past, for nostalgia, where we feel safe.
On the topic of current music, I often only hear the talent in young artists when they cover something from my past. I haven't liked any original mysic from, say, Miley Syrus, then i heard her do a backyard concert, of songs from the 70/80s and i thought 'she has a really nice voice!'. I dont think it's lack of singing talent, it's lack of good lyrics and especially, good musicianship, that's the problem with current radio charts.
