Clam Chowder is to die for. Crab cakes are so good!! Crab cakes would be my best for all these foods. Had it many times!!

Bless you.... and you need to try an Italian beef if you come back to Chicago... and my favorite pizza is and Italian beef and italian sausage pizza with giardiniera on it... you definitely need to try that too 😉

If you get clam chowder, it's actually best when served in a bread bowl. That's exactly what it sounds like, a bowl made of a bowl sized loaf of bread. As a native of Oregon, I have to disagree with their choice of marionberry pie to begin with. It SHOULD be (if you have to use dessert), huckleberry cobbler. A main dish would be either deer or elk steak seared medium topped with morel mushrooms in brown gravy

A lot of interesting winners. I can’t eat green peppers and have other dislikes so many of the dishes would not be on my list. I have eaten several of the dishes but for as many states that I’ve been to I guess I need to try more local cuisine.
Best food definitely comes from the northern states

Chicago deep dish Pizza is the best.
Sonoran Dog: Non-Gringo Tucson/Southern AZ obession. The rest of us, well, I personally have only seen it on 4 menus in 36 years. I am obviously not from Southern AZ or to Gringo for it. :) I don't get it. Now, Navaho Fry Bread...that's a different story...How about the Chimichunga....It was actually invented here!

Some people make gumbo very spicy, Courtney. I like seafood or sausage gumbo. Chicken is my least favorite. Not one of those that I would recommend you cook yourself. Getting the Roux right can be very finicky & frustrating. Another secret is gumbo was originally a 'throw-together' meal. The kids out in the woods gathering herbs, bark, & crawfish if they can get them. Dad slaughtering the chicken or grinding the sausage. Even the best gumbo cooks don't follow more modern gumbo standards.

I saw part 1, and I'm still confused with their whole ranking system. Seems kind of pointless to have an S tier and only allow a certain number of foods into that tier. Then when grading the entire S tier, stuff they said tasted amazing, they basically trashed half of them.
Hmm. These guys don't appear to like desserts very much. All the sweet stuff is landing in C tier or lower.

Once I saw they used Philly Cheesesteak as the entry for Pennsylvania, I lost interest and fell asleep. I eventually had to skip to after that point to finish the video. There are other dishes from other cities in the state.

Its easily one of the worst I’ve had and I’ve had pizza in 43 states granted it was in buffalo
