  • Hey Friend!
In this video I show you how I take a simple sample from splice.com and warp and change it into something much more interesting! creativity takes center stage with sound designing often times, and this was no exception. I use slice to midi to capture the sound after it is altered, which allows the new tone to be played in as a new texture, I'm using Ableton Live 12, but you could likely achieve something similar in other DAWs as well... also on hardware or software samplers too. I was testing this with KOALA Sampler which i love, and this method is great there too.
Hope this inspires you to let your creativity flow!

Wow, you've got a lot of good tips and tricks here! I don't have Ableton specifically, but I want to try them in my own DAW now haha
By the way, I've started a small discord server for musicians to collaborate, share their love of music, and encourage each other as making music sometimes gets a little lonely. If that sounds like something you would be interested in, you are more than welcome to join! Let me know what you think, and keep up the good work man!
