This was wonderful! I added a bunch of new titles to look up...very excited to check out The Annotated Luther series by Fortress Press. Thank you for the tour, Jason! 😁
Hey , I'm glad you enjoyed the tour! I read about one book per week on average. I think I read 47 books last year (some are read in a couple of days and others take weeks depending on size/difficulty). Many of the books in my shelf are unread (or they're incompletely read). A lot of them are reference books, commentaries, sermon collections, essays, etc. So those do get read, just not to completion (I prefer to say that I "use" those books instead of "read" them). I love having unread books available in my library so that when I'm ready to read a particular book, it's available. I also keep an eye out for low prices on books that I hope to get, and when I find them for a cheap price, I snatch them up. A lot of my books would normally cost $100 or more brand new. But I can often find them for around $20 to $40 (used) through pricetracking websites.
@@jrj256 Thank you for the response. Sometimes I envy the people a little who read more than me. Reason for that is that it could actually be doable by me. I can understand that you have some books as reference books. And it is smart to be on the lookout for cheap books.
Normalize not apologizing for the authors on your bookshelf. It really doesn't matter if you are more or less "liberal" than some dude on the shelf. I'm not a Calvinist, but i don't apologize for having Calvin, Henry, or Luther on the shelf. I'm not a progressive Christian, but i don't need to apologize for having Rob Bell, Richard Rohr, or Colby Martin on my shelves. I'm not an atheist, but i don't apologize for Bart Erhman and Joshua Bowen on the shelf. The unspoken "conservative theological canon" sucks. 😊
This is so cool, thank you for sharing!!!

That's such a nice library tour. Those are beautiful books. Where do you get time to read all those books? How much do you read per week?

DAVID K.BERNARD AND DR.MARVIN TREECE ARE REALLY EXCELLENT AUTHORS! AS WELL AS DANIEL SEGRAVES!❤
Oh that is exhausting, no more books for me, I read them then throw them away.
