I didn't create this hack. This was included in the F-Zero Editor fuzee when I downloaded it. It is one of the hardest F-Zero hacks I know. I think it is worth making a video.
I don't think i've said this about any other F Zero hack before but I really like all of the tracks here. Each individual 'Zone' has it's own completely different theme going on which I really enjoy from a design perspective. Also, do you know what's going on with the weird fake finish line at the end of Port Town I?
F-zero game is a platforming bumper car obstacle course disguised as a racer This hack clearly seems to understand the game's strengths Later games in the series didn't seem to understand this design philosophy
Not gonna lie, Silence was incredible but as soon as you started doing some next level jumps on lap 4 I had a little bit of anxiety creeping in about you landing out of bounds with that excellent explosion
It is a very basic track, personally I like such tracks, too. The important thing about basic tracks is that the AI drives fast, in this hack the AI settings are made well - other than in most other hacks - which means you are still challenged on such tracks.
Port town I in general is a pretty simple track, but the brown cars can be pretty annoying due to the magnets always pushing you to the center of the road. Port town II, which is the same track but reversed, is far worse though. The magnets pull you to the outside in this version, which is terrible on such a narrow road. On master mode arguably harder than fire field, you need to avoid the walls very well, otherwise it will be hard to keep up with the ai.
Agree with your description Fennor. Worth showing. When you first boosted in White Land, it was your downfall...temporarily. You got back in the top. The last race was a joke going by it looks. Constantly jumping. How would you lose? Unless you made yourself lose. Nice Master skills Fen.
OMG That music is awesome! I remember playing this game. I wonder if someone did a instrumental version of the music before converting it to midi, or if it was just composed directly in MIDI format? You make "Silence" look easy, but I don't remember ever beating it when I was younger. A lot of sleepless nights and early mornings to fight my brother over who gets to play next.
Well, the Silence you played as a kid was probably a different one from the one shown in this video; this is a modification of F-Zero with new tracks, after all.
What amazes me its the fact that this is a non-TAS gameplay, and this hack makes look the original game like a baby's game!
That silence is awesome!!
its like gba rainbow road

13:24 the cars look so happy, bouncing around like that.

The Silence looks amazing!
The third track (Port Town I) is already more difficult than any track in the original game
Boy, they did not pull their punches
