Five stages of grief for Fury fans:
    D - Denial - Fury won by 3 rounds
A - Anger - Christmas gift for Usyk
    B - Bargaining - It was close. A draw.
D - Depression - Fury came in too heavy. Not prepared well.
A - Acceptance - Usyk beat Fury thoroughly

It's almost as if these boxers don't understand round scoring. Even if Usyk _just_ edged every round the scorecards would have him winning 12-0 - that doesn't have to mean complete domination

    • @Disinfo321
      @Disinfo321 19 днів тому +5

It would be a domination in terms of a masterclass of how to manage every round from a scoring point, which is what Usyk did. He edged tyson the entire fight and got caught a few times which he's going to against anybody because his style is to make you work.

Fury fought and lost to a cruiser weight who's moved to heavy. Usyk cleaned out the CW division, just like he has in the HW division even though he could probably still get down to CW. All inside 23 fights may I add. That's why he's one of the best that's ever lived. And if you don't agree Fury isn't quite as good as he used to be you're an idiot. Hopefully that explains everything for you

The utter biased nonsense for Fury is incredible , he basically had 2 training camps for the first Usyk fight and his fitness along with a clearly bent ref saved him from being stopped. All his family have the same body shape and you can’t out train a bad lifestyle but he’s had two great camps but simply got beat by the best fighter of our era and there’s no disgrace in that.

I don't think it hurt him but didn't help him much either bc he didn't put his body into many punches. But, he stood his ground more than running around and feinting which had 0 effect on Usyk, he did better. Def a better choice to not waste so much energy running backwards, though he was pushed back a bit still. He didn't go for it enough again, didn't risk it with any big punches... he actually did what he originally said of 'I'll basically be the same, jsut a bit more focused n not get caught and I should win'...
That's what he thought he had to do. Even when Sugar Hill in round 12 was saying THIS IS TOO CLOSE IT'S NOW OR NEVER, and he still didn't go for it. That's arrogance.

He did the best he could’ve done. He only lost because Usyk the best in the division. The fact that a man of his size went toe to toe with a natural cruise weight just shows how good he is.

  • @phillyboypat5

Felt like Fury’s game plan and his weight were a direct contradiction.
He said going into the fight his game plan was to do what he did in the first fight and just not get clipped by a big shot. Fair play. He was comfortably ahead going into the 9th round of the first fight.
What did he do in the first fight? He boxed. Slick. Moved very well. How does coming in heavy help him do that better? If anything, I thought he should come in lighter as Usyk’s best weapon is his insane cardio.
Felt like Fury came in heavy in hopes that if Usyk landed another big shot that he’d take it better - and hoped that if he landed a big shot of his own, it’d put Usyk down.
Problem is - the uppercut he landed in the first fight hurt Usyk because it was behind constant combinations. It was because Usyk didn’t see the shot coming that it stunned him. When you gain weight and just sit on your punches, a guy like Usyk sees those shots coming and they’re not as effective. The upper cut came just as a result of boxing flow in the first fight.
Felt like Tyson was afraid he’d get caught again and came in big because he feared being knocked out. Think he has a strategy based around “not losing” rather than “winning.”
Watch the first 6 rounds. Then turn off the fight. Then watch 9-12.
Fury wasn’t the same. He faded and I think the weight had a lot to do with that. How could it not when your fighting someone with Usyks pace

Honestly, I rewatched the fight last night, and for much of the time Fury looked as though he was afraid. There was a fear in his eyes. Be it ageing out, too much weight, or whatever. Perhaps he knew, once the fight started, that his planned strategy was all wrong............

Then please explain any additional strength training that he was supposed to have done because it never showed.

when you're already miles bigger and taller than an opponent, being big does not benefit your performance. If Fury was 260 instead of 280, he's still way bigger than Usyk but gets the benefit of quicker feet, hands and a better gas tank. He should have been 250-260 and adapted his tactics a little, not come in 20 lbs heavier than fight 1.
The main combo i'd have looked for is left uppercut, left hook and then close in/tie him up. Keep the right hand across the face.

I’m not an AJ fan I’m not a Tyson fan. People who think Tyson would still beat AJ have me almost laughing. AJ has a better mindset than Tyson and like Tyson has said, he isn’t doing this for the boxing anymore he’s thinking of the money.
AJ will want that legacy over Tyson SO much more. AJ knocked Francis out, Tyson got knocked down by Francis. Both have been beat by Usyk twice but people were routing for Tyson to beat Usyk more than AJ and with that height and weight advantage AJ still did better against Usyk than Tyson it’s just Tysons height and weight make him harder to knock out.
I really believe AJ knocks Tyson out, I’m not talking prime I’m talking now.
