I want one, I want one! I have a G80 M3 on order and I want this exhaust setup! I’m fairly new to car modifications, only done cosmetic, and the idea of a whole new exhaust freaks me out. I love this setup and the sound is spectacular!!
Mans that’s hard choice. Jonathan’s M4 is exactly how I’d have mine. Love the sound. Your M3 sounds super aggressive though and different. I think the AWE switchpath will be the icing on the cake 🎉 great video 🤙🏼
Both sound amazing but I love some pops and crackles where its tamed, so the G80 has my win lol but I will say the F80 around me has it where their exhaust sounds like it is thunder when it's low revving and it's a beautiful tone nothing crazy.
Both sound awesome… the f82 doesn’t sound like a s55 which is a good thing… The g80 also sounds awesome… believe it or not I think the F82 sounds less raspy and has more of a deeper note
Does your car have a valve controller, because it sounds really clean with the equal length. If not can’t even imagine how clean it will be after the controller!
I think your g80 sounds better because it has a deeper more throaty tone most likely because your equal length is a prototype. I personally prefer the single mid pipe for the S55 engine because it retains the body in the sound were as the equal length takes away the sound of the car and makes it sound thin and high pitch, but some people like that. I'm curious how yours would sound with a big single mid pipe instead.
What setup do you prefer!! Cuz I was going get Active Autowerk Catted downpipe, protype equal mid pipe with the awe exhaust. Can u add the AEW delete pipes ? With that set up
The AWE setup most likely won't be out. Active needed to make a custom pipe to pair them up. They are 75% won't be making it available for the public. But what I suggest is the catted downpipes + and w.e exhaust setup you prefer. The Prototype Equal Length Mid-Pipe won't be out for a few more months. You can always slowly add the parts on so you won't get bored lol. If you're looking for any parts from Active Autowerke, let me know we are a distributor and can probably get you a solid price.
@@TheDailyDriven hey that suck . U say that the AwE setup most likely won’t come out. But I saw the exhaust for AWE out already. Do you prefer the setup with AWE and the reason delete from awe
Your car sounds deeper and louder while the F80 sounds a bit more exotic due to his titanium rear box. Do you know what size of piping is the prototype EL midpipe - 2.75 or 3 inches? It will be interesting to hear when you add the AWE rear box to your set up.
The Prototype midpipe will be OEM diameter which is 2.75. I'm waiting to add the awe + equal length. Should be hopefully next month. There needs to be a custom pipe to fit them together. Since Active has a 2.75 and AWE has 3
Its probably going to have to be developed since the exhaust length are probably different. They did it for the F87 and F8x platform. They had to develop a different Midpipe for the F87.
Very nice exhaust videos. I was interested in a midpipe only for a subtle change, can you comment on construction and fitment of active autoworks VS valvetronic, were there any other brands you looked at when considering which one to go with? I feel confident in the fitment of DINAN but unsure as to how the sound would differ.
The active Auto Work equaling mid pipe, is the Pioneer to making the BMW platform sounds so much better. They were the first ones to developed the equal length midpipe. What you get with active is that they have quality products, all their products are in-house welded and produced. I've seen it at their establishment. The fitment on the products are absolutely on point. The customer service behind their products are on point. They always are there to help with questions
I got 5% all the way around with 20% on windshield... can’t see inside the car at daytime. Nighttime isn’t too bad seeing out the windshield. But dusk or dawn when it’s kinda dark kinda not, the road blends in with the sky and tint and I can’t see fuckin shit lmao
@@TheDailyDriven raining isn’t fun at all. I try not to drive in the rain at nighttime. I have ptsd from an accident about 2 years ago where a hailstorm hit outta nowhere and I got blown off the road by an 80mph gust of wind that leveled a few trees in the area. I was stuck in a ditch for 2.5 hours with water up to the door and hail pounding against the car. I swore it was gonna busy the windows. I legit have been terrified of driving in the rain since that day.

F82 M4 sounds equally good as the the G80 M3
💯💯💯 agree
Both sound 🔥🔥🔥! The AWE Switchpath will make it sound even better for sure. Clermont locals weren’t ready 🤣
The amount of dirty look 😄 we got. It's pickup city central out there.
Both cars sound amazing! Well done gentlemen!
Thank you 🙏🏻

Also Jonathan has his burbles turned off 😂
Definitely agree it's going to sound pretty interesting
Yeah I need to figure out a way to shut mine off. Maybe bimmercode 🤔
Aye what a fun day to do some exhaust clip filming, still think yours sounds better haha. It’s great to hear both and really be able to compare!
Yeah it was a ton if fun filming this. Both cars sounded incredible and this was a very good comparison
i am loving the exhaust sounds on your gorgeous Imola Red G80 M3

Yeah I can hear that. It's probably because of the resonated midpipes. That definitely gives it that tone.
Yesssss i wanted for my G80 M3 manual same setup asap lol 🔥🔥
Save the manuals 💯
They both sounds pretty darn good... almost identical
Very very similar for sure. Excited to see and hear how the AWE will sound after.
Love the sound of M4 sounds clean, your G80 sounds mad is good both I think I will copy that M4 only I need is downpipes
Yeah hard to choose on both. They both sound incredible
For me I like the F82 just because no burbles, would love to hear the G80 without the burbles. I would probably think it might be better then.
Facts huge fan of no burbles. Going to see if bimmerlink works with disabling it
Does your car have a valve controller, because it sounds really clean with the equal length. If not can’t even imagine how clean it will be after the controller!
No valve controller. It would sound even better with it.
Can’t wait until you add the AWE back. 😎
I think it's going to sound amazing 👏🏻
@@TheDailyDriven Yessir!
was this video the prototype midpipe with stock axle back and tips? Or were there other exhaust modifications present at the same time?
In this video you'll hear active Autowerke's gesi catted downpipes with the prototype Equal Length Mid-Pipe + stock rear muffler

I already talked to them and they are bringing it out.
Bringing which 🤔?

I’m just glad you have a manual!
Otherwise car sounds metal!
Save the manuals 💯
I need this for my G87 M2 (assuming it will fit)!! Please make this go into production!

I also had the awe switchpath platform on. But they were still a slight rasp. Active equal length midpipe definitely fulfilled the sound for me
Sounds good will just get rid of some burbels then it will sound wild
Yeah I agree still trying to find a way to get rid of the burbles. Lol
Sounds saucy
Who should I ask for when I go in to Active Autowerkes?
Depends on what you plan on doing ?
@@TheDailyDriven I currently have a full Remus exhaust. I'm not excited by it. F8x
@@sightsandsoundsmiami6187 - Remus sport or race exhaust?
Not sure. I believe it's Remus sport. It's a full setup. Curious about a A.A. midpipe
Hmm depends on the connection points and the diameter of the pipe. AWE has a full 3 inch pipe as compared to OEM and Active
The G80 sounds better 🔥🔥
🤘🏻🤘🏻
As good as John’s car sounds with his set up. The S58 just sounds better in my opinion and I own an s55 😂
S58 Power and sound just makes it better IMO also.
No burble on the F82 is always better, higher pitch cleaner tone, no BS.
Yeah I'm a big fan of no burbles. Unfortunately this g8x platform comes with Factory burbles
i like the s55 sound more
🤘🏻
That s55 sounds trash lol
S55 sounds better. S58 is a way better engine.
S55 sounds a lot better
