@@Ghost_M2 You’re welcome! I actually use little thumb tacks and color matched them to the different colored areas of the flag lol. So I used, I think, six black, and two white
You can get the sst exhaust flap control which is literally the same shit for $260. I have it on my g80. Down pipes, single mid pipe (sounds deeper) and it’s crazy. I am tuned to 820HP and I did noticed the exhaust sounded VERY different after tuning the car.
Nice! Yeah downpipes will definitely make a difference in sound, especially with a tune. Does the SST come in dual valve or do you have to buy two single valve units? I thought it only came in one.
@legacydriven I have the SST. It comes dual valve just like the Dahler. I have the remote set up to the spare garage buttons. Middle for open and far right for back to stock. I believe you can do the same with the Dahler and setting the valves back to stock might get rid of your drone issue at the touch of a button. I have an AA single midpipe on order. Looking foward to seeing what it will sound like. I was going to go equal length but saw that a lot of people had rattling issues. That would kill me if I heard a rattle. Good video BTW.
Hi, the Dahler valve controller is a must have I think. I will order it.. but just a question: is this a single midpipe or an equal length midpipe? Thanks in advance! Keep up the good work with your channel, nice videos man!
Thank you! I appreciate it 👊🏼. It’s actually an X-Pipe setup which typically offers a deeper tone. I’m not a huge fan of single mid pipes (personally) on these cars. Also, the Dähler unit is definitely a must have. Absolutely!
I’m so stuck between this and the mad midpipe. Haven’t heard either in person. What was the final decision maker for you? I already have the SST valve controller
For sure. So both Midpipes sound similar in person. I personally chose PSI because I know the team personally and know the quality of their product is legit, that was honestly the deciding factor. Also, the valve controller is a must in my opinion 👍🏼 that’s the move with a midpipe
Great video bro How’s the midpipe sound with no valve control and just OEM functions? Currently trying to find a good midpipe and in between AA equal length midpipe/valvetronic EL single pipe but saw your video and don’t know much about PSI. Keeping everything stock as well just adding mid pipe
Thanks bro! I appreciate it. I went through the whole process of evaluating all exhaust options as well. I also looked at AA equal length (which is a great system btw). Ultimately, it comes down to preference like most things lol. The PSI mid pipe is an X pipe, not equal length. This gives a deeper (more of a rumble imo) given the pipe design. The equal length has a more uniform sound since the sound is traveling equal distance out the back, which has a smoother (slightly higher pitch) tone up top. This is my analysis. Lastly, the midpipe does sound better with OEM cable functions yes, BUT, it definitely makes a huge difference with a cable controller. Definitely recommend for more control 👊🏼👊🏼
For sure. So it’s a slight difference and only noticeable in certain driving conditions such as hard acceleration from a standstill, but, if use launch control or just brake boost it mitigates that issue anyway. So I just notice it when cruising around with lower rpm’s and higher gears… and then a quick throttle input (but if your geared lower and in boost it’s no issue). But overall drivability is perfectly fine. Just something to note 👍🏼
Thanks for watching! And in my own research the Dähler unit was one that I thought provided the best heat/weather resistance while also being self-sustained and needing no external power source. That’s important to me. 👍🏼
Wakes the whole car up! And the valve controller on the g8x’s are a must 💯
Absolutely! Definitely wakes up the car, and the Dähler unit just takes it up another level 😈🤘🏼
Off topic, but where did you order your M flag from in your garage? Good size.
Absolutely! It does fit nicely in my garage. Here’s where I got it from 👍🏼

@@legacydriven ordered thanks! What did you use to hang it?

Comp muffler with the single midpipe sounds good IMO
Definitely 👍🏼 just not my personal preference

Can’t say that sounds good
For sure, and that’s the beauty of the car community. We can’t all like the same things. That would be boring.
my only concern is loss of low end torque due to increase in turbo lag, how noticeable is it?

Interlagos Blue 👌🏼
Why would you spend so much money on overrated / overpriced Dahler controller 🤔 …..nice video tho🤘
