Ok, if truly ash, since ash trees are all but gone the baskets are highly sought after as items from a past era that can’t be replaced. In fact, they were bought up about 10 years from most antique stores. Elizabeth
Von Dutch was so popular in 2003-2004 after Paris Hilton wore their trucker hat. You couldn’t go anywhere that summer without seeing everyone wear them. Mixed with cami tops, low rise jeans or tiered mini skirts and huge sunglasses 😎… brings back such fun memories being on the beach in Newport
Amanda, your oil lamp could be a Lampe Berger, A French company. There are valuable antique lamps and newer ones still being manufactured today, which you add scented oils to after heating the charcoal burner. I have two and love them. Look it up! I enjoy your channel so much! Are you still doing real estate?
I just discovered something and I’m excited! I currently live in Central Arkansas and I’m from Maryland…FAM is on my way home. I have drove back home at least 8 times in the 6 years I’ve been living in Arkansas 😮passing by FAM😮! My next drive home will be in the spring and I will definitely stop at FAM and check it out. Now that I know where the exact location is I understand things completely. Super happy FAM is pet friendly…Butterscotch is the real reason I drive that 16 hours back home, I don’t like boarding her and she LOVES to ride. ❤
The “little oil lamp” is actually a Lampe Berger and retail between $40 and $60 depending on the lamp. They take special oils, which are called fragrances. So think of it as an air freshener and not an actual lamp. I would suggest downloading the directions for lighting it, as you don’t leave a flame on it, that is blown out after the stone top piece turns a certain color. Then you use the metal top to put it out when you are done.
All the zippers are for air flow while your riding. I love watching you drive around your town. No Traffic is just AMAZING!!! Everything looks so beautiful…. Fossil bag is gorgeous. I love my fossil bags & I have a few fossil watches also. Great Thrifting Ladies ;)
Cognac (leather Fossil bag) is pronounced Kon-yak, like the liquor of the same name or the French region of production. You two sisters remind me of me and my sisters when we shop. I love your giddiness and energy. I miss my sisters! Thanks for taking us shopping! You are lovely ladies!
You two found some great pieces! And could tell you had some good sister fun! Thrifting-while one is wearing the lucky sweater-is just so stinkin’ fun!! Tori must be a believer now. 🙃 ~Cathy
I'm pretty sure the carved wooden box was an old chocolate box. My mother was married in 1943 and had one. They usually became a jewelry box. I have hers now.
The shell ornaments would be pretty displayed in the silver shell dish or the shell basket! Love your style and you deserve to keep a few things! And you can always keep decor and rotate it throughout the house!
I think Tori’s glass Christmas tree is made by Avon, and the “oil lamp” looks like a Lampe Berger style fragrance burner to me, but those usually have a stone that you light along with the wick, worth doing a bit of research on. I think the sweater must be lucky, nice little haul ladies! 😊
You should fill the basket with Christmas greens or Holly and someone will scoop it up. It would also be pretty in spring or fall with branches from your yard.
Torie owes you a "lucky sweater" commission for finding that Von Dutch piece! I can't wait to see all the Christmas goodies in your booth! Thanks for Vlogmas!
I've got the very same set, but with 7 pieces. Somehow it has made it to Germany, also in the 80ies. Here we don't see them very often. I love it, but mine requires candles smaller than the usual size.
The oil lamp has a wik in it. You can buy replacement wik’s at hobby lobby, Walmart, Jo Ann’s. You totally scored on all the cut glass/crystal vase’s. They will look great in January clear glass always looks great in the winter months.
I have been selling those brass tapers like crazy here in GA. They originally were sold as a set of seven ranging in height from 3-9." And don't stress about paying $20 for that split ash basket. Although they don't sell in the hundreds of dollars like they used to, it's still a really fantastic find and worth every penny you paid for it.
Good to see you both spending time thrifting together you both got great items love you both it was nice to see torry again good luck with all your stuff lots love from Scotland 😅😅😅
Those pink wine glasses, I know you said Libby, but they really remind me of these wine glasses my sister used to have that I swear came with a romance novel. 😂
Your thrifting videos are always so inspiring!!! You actually inspired me to look for brass, not only candlesticks, this year. And I have to thank you for selling a lot of them in my etsy shop. They became very popular suddenly again after not being seen at all for ages, at least here in Germany. So, thank you very much, you're officially my vintage-trend-oracle now. Any tips for easter? 😉😉😉
I think i’ve been to the first thrift/consignment store. I had a great haul that day too! Loved this video and seeing Tori’e. You both have great style. !
Love your shopping experiences. As a former Virginian I love Crozet. The Green Olive Tree is an epic thrift store that I have enjoyed for a couple of decades. I always manage a stop when I head back to VA. Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones.
Great video! I really enjoy the shopping videos with you and your sister. Question: do you use your tax-exemption at thrift, antique, consignment stores? I just got my EIN so I am working on my reseller cert here in Maine, but I do a lot of my sourcing at thrift stores so I am wondering how other resellers use their tax exemption. I feel like I am hanging out with my friend(s) when I watch your videos! Merry Vlogmas!!
I never use my tax exempt at thrift stores. I know you could before but not sure places like Goodwill even allow it now. They used to have a binder where you would fill out your info but not sure they do anymore.
I had a light up tree like that one. I think I bought it in the late 80’s. What was the brand on your sisters long wine colored coat? Loved the cedar dog box too.
I believe in your lucky sweater! I hoard items for future gifts for friends and family...but every now and then some become permanent residents...oops.
Amanda, Von Dutch was really popular in the early 2000's think: Britney spears, Justin Timberlake, Paris Hilton, Ashton Kutcher. THey were all wearing it, especially their trucker hats. @@amandasmercantile Totally understandable, you were probably really young at the time too. Just wanted to fill you in 💖 And basically that Thrift knew what they had cos $30 is steep for a thrift store.
Just went back to watch and my bad it was a consignment store, so actually that's a pretty good price especially if she sells it for the prices she showed online!
As a booth owner, how far do you DRIVE to score thrift for resale? I am feeling "stiffled" a bit by the stores I frequent. I'm wondering if I need to be driving an hour or longer to find different thrift stores. Thoughts???
Are you still YouTubing? The latest than 3 or 4 months ago? No recent things, maybe a name changee or just on instagram? I love your program & beginning to plan a trip to Virginia & the FAM!
Çan you not pay your rent by electronic funds transfer? Seems like every month you have to go pay your rent. Doesn't make sense to me! Unless you're going there anyways.
Todays theme, “I might hold on to this for a while.” That’s my kind of shopping!

The ✨lucky sweater✨
Always love seeing Torie! ☺️ Even if she’s not a believer…
Lucky sweater for the win again!! That’s it it’s your thrifting sweater for sure! Great finds! Hi Torie!😊
Torrie, you read this: Love your style, as a vintage clothing seller myself, love your offerings and love that Dickies? green jacket on you!
It’s DEFINITELY the sweater lol.
Amanda more videos like this pls. Love watch you shopping?!

The candid footage of you and Mike just doing life together is stupidly cute and I'm here for all of it ☺

I have one of those cast iron vintage nut crackers. Mine has a red wooden base where that one was a wood stain base. I love mine, I inherited it.
I’m a believer of the lucky sweater!

Split black ash basket it a good find...check out pricing...you did fine...
Loved you w your sister❤
Awww hi sissss! 🥰 I have two sisters and we never say sis 😆
Yes, the Christmas tree is an Avon product! I sold many of those.

Hi Amanda, I’m pretty sure the oil lamp looking thing is for fragrance. It holds a liquid that wicks out the top to scent your room.
Thank you for investing time & effort in doing Vlogmus! I am an antique dealer & I look so forward to it each year!!
Oh yes!! The cool “weird” cardigan-LOVE vintage clothes

Was coming to say the same thing!
Absolutely loved the marble hurricane candle holder! So dang cool!!
You should fill the basket with Christmas greens or Holly and someone will scoop it up. It would also be pretty in spring or fall with branches from your yard.
The glass tree that changes lights is from Avon! I have a few of them, I love them! ❤
We had a very similar wooden box when I was a child in the 1950s, and hankies were kept in it.
Dude, the sweater is such a vibe😂
Torie owes you a "lucky sweater" commission for finding that Von Dutch piece! I can't wait to see all the Christmas goodies in your booth! Thanks for Vlogmas!
Oval plum Lampe Berger looks like your missing the diffuser top (you held up the snuffer top)
The brass candlesticks were a popular wedding gift in the 80's. Everyone got a set at least in the South. 😂😂
I've got the very same set, but with 7 pieces. Somehow it has made it to Germany, also in the 80ies. Here we don't see them very often. I love it, but mine requires candles smaller than the usual size.

Don’t you know…It’s the SWEATER Tory! It’s the sweater! Lol!
The Von Dutch moment had my LOL.
Those pink wine glasses, I know you said Libby, but they really remind me of these wine glasses my sister used to have that I swear came with a romance novel. 😂
I have a few of those miniature Japanese ceramic pieces. I think they’re super cool. They look handmade but were done in a mold.

I love that you mention the Salvation Army...not Goodwill
Mike's family must be some smarties. Fun video. Loved seeing Tori.
Love that box with dog scene
Hi Amanda, I love when you do your thrifting. Can you please tell the Names of the shops and where they are located?
The oil lamp is really a diffuser. The wick has a stone on top that gives off the scented oil smell
When you light it
TORIE'S BACK AND IT'S BEEN WELL WORTH THE WAIT ! THANK YOU.
So funny! I have the same wood box with the dogs in my booth now and just sold the same set of brass candlestick holders!
Hehe I have those pink libbey wine glasses ;)

I am local to Staunton, could you share the name of the first consignment shop/antique mall? thx
I love the cherry red coat! I need one In my life
Thrifting is so fun. You spotted many good finds! Thanks for sharing. 😊
Of course it was the sweater! Why no shell bookends? I've sold those in my booth more than once!
Cute bronze vase. I love all you finds!

Is Tori your sister? Love the clothes she picks.
Yes, Tori is her sister
Great video! Question...do you normally clean/polish your brass or leave it as is?
Old glass will start to turn a little bit pink or purple from sunlight
Can u pls tell me where you get your tags esp the large ones for furniture. Thank you in advance
I believe in your lucky sweater! I hoard items for future gifts for friends and family...but every now and then some become permanent residents...oops.
I really want to buy that purse in Tory’s section. It’s the floral one on the top of the clothes rack. I’ll pay for shipping.

Are u going to both spring and fall Lucketts?
Your oil lamp is really made for a dented oil I think. I’m pretty sure I used to have one 🤷🏼♀️
Dented oil??? What’s that????

How much is a good price to sell brass candlesticks? Small, medium, large?
I'm proud to say I'm the first comment. Can't wait to watch!
I think your "bear" could actually be a badger. 😅
I thought maybe too.
❤
Rats. I have so much to do, but now I just want to go thrifting.
I think the little light up Christmas tree may be Avon.
I don’t think that’s an oil lamp. I think it’s one of those scent things.

I was lucky to find the same nutcracker.... $6.00 but was 50% off for xmas decoration....score!
Who and what is Tori to you? New here.Sister ?❤️💕❤️your channel.
You could totally sell that basket for $65
May I get the name of the first small thrift store ?
Sell the basket for $20 or $30 if you can get it, then you won't have to beat yourself up anymore.
Tory? I’ve seen your name spelled 4 different ways! I’m sorry if I butchered your name! Help a girl out and tell us how to spell it correctly!
I couldn’t sell brass candlesticks in my booth to save my life?
I myself stay away from things that people say are super popular because for me they end up not selling. lol
